  1. I don't even know what Gape and McQueen look like now, not 100% on Shaw, got the others. I have "spoiler" answers in white text if you wish to highlight below... JWP is the back row midget, Callum Chambers is wearing the training top. I think Shaw may be bottom right with the white hair
  2. "Can you pick out Harrison Reed?". If you've ever seen him even once, you can.
  3. No, he wasn't.
  4. Bit late with that.
  5. I'm quite happy with videos which show finishing ability, agility, pace and strength, etc. The fact there's even ONE clip of him running onto a through ball in on goal away from defenders leaves me utterly delirious.
  6. We only announced it about three hours ago.
  7. Also, don't forget Everton have a national fanbase of plastic fans in their 30s and upwards due to their 80s successes... having grown up in an area which hasn't had a club in the top two divisions since 1945, I knew of numerous Everton fans, and no Saints fans. You can't just conjure up a massive international fan base to sell stuff to without winning a few things.
  8. 7, 17, 4, 11, 6, 5, 5, 8, 7, 7, 6 are their last 11 finishes. Before that they hadn't finished above 13th in the previous 6 years.
  9. You mean that time when all our revenues had hugely contracted as opposed to massively increased ?
  10. No need to apologise, if it had been entitled "David Gold spouts shiiite on SSN" I'd have been more of a fascist about it, but it's pretty well hidden!
  11. Are you trying to start an argument on here ?
  12. With Gus Fcking Poyet sat right there, unemployed as a manager, in the studio. Stick your Dag & Red up your ar5e, Gus.
  13. Totally depends how much money we can spend, which at some point is going to have to involve to us marketing the club to all kinds of previously untapped sponsorship resources to get around the FFP rules. The ladder has been pulled up, and the European competitors with global merchandise sales are escaping off with the silver. Unless we can keep the players we've got and still keep bringing through kids we're going to plateau somewhere in the top half once we top out our wages because we won't have the additional revenues the top sides will have. I'm not sure there are enough awesome players to overflow into the top 8 and accept lower wages, though Prem teams are still going to be able to outspend most of the rest of the World to attract players, so it might be possible. Otherwise, we could try and perform some kind of footballing miracle based on Aston Villa's title winning side of 1981 and only use 14 players all season.
  14. There's an entire thread about that, and most have concluded Gold's talking out of his ar5e. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?46274-Financial-Fair-Play-(SSN-Transfer-Centre)
  15. People are still reworking the Bale transfer, can't wait for the next Walcott contract debate...
  16. Or, we're just spending the vastly increased tv money everyone and his dog knows every Prem side has got coming. If anything it makes sense to sign players now before the market gets over-inflated next year with the World Cup and everyone else having worked out all Prem teams are loaded.
  17. I don't think the tweak makes much difference when the player in an offside position is standing directly in front of the goalkeeper. I've seen them given though, and the lino was probably just wrongly flagging Lallana anyway.
  18. They have an inferiority complex due to 90% of their fans being plastic someone else fans 5 years ago.
  19. To be honest, I'd rather not get hung up on which of the eleven won't be playing, and enjoy the fact that we've just signed a striker from a major international power.
  20. Can't disagree with that, though I did point out he's probably better suited to England's Plan B than either Carroll or than he is to Saints' system. Carroll has his strengths, but having the ball at his feet is not one of them.
  21. I said he'd score more, and changed my mind before the transfer window had closed last season. But let's not get hung up on that. Will be interesting to see how we play with him in the side, that's for sure, but Rodriguez hasn't done anything worth dropping for and is the kind of hard-working, agile, goalscoring, pressing player that's needed for our system. That's not so true for Lallana, Lambert and Ramirez.
  22. I'd be gutted if we weren't at the very least top 10 now, and my expectations have just nudged up to top 8. Last time I said this, my expectations nudged up to "possibly automatic promotion" from "pretty sure we'll be in the playoffs"... and we led the league most of the season. So... hopefully that'll be us sniffing around the Europa League places. Even pre-Osvaldo our one match has seen us mostly dominate against a team we lost to awfully twice last season.
  23. If there's one thing I'm pretty sure of, it's that Rodriguez isn't getting dropped first.
  24. It is an unfortunate side-effect of having a well-known unpopular position on one player that people are unable to determine if you feel the same about others.
  25. Nothing remotely on a par with the wages we've taken on, but frankly, so what ? I doubt we're even making a loss. Could probably do with producing a kit people want to buy now though.
