Nope. It wasn’t Long. It looks like Gabbiadini fails to convert a missed Long shot that turned into a pass.

Here’s a Telegraph piece on the transfer activities of the promoted clubs, who by my math have spent approximately £111M between them so far, according to this article... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/07/27/promoted-clubs-hoping-emulate-brighton-huddersfield-newcastles/ -
Lemina’s back in training, based on today’s training pictures.

My wife is attempting a no cell phones at the dinner table rule with our teenagers. It is going very poorly.

For those who thought the ridiculous Richarliason transfer fee would promote a cessation in hostilities, it looks like Watford are continuing to make a stand against Everton for an illegal approach for Silva last season... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/football/44963596 -
Southampton (along with Newcastle) may go for Brugge’s Limbombe after he failed to agree to personal terms with Huddersfield.. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6871014/newcastle-southampton-anthony-limbombe-huddersfield/ I almost feel like the Sun just pulled Southampton’s name out of a hat, here.

Southampton supposedly scouting Sebastian Walukiewicz, another young Polish centre back, with Arsenal also interested... https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6863646/sebastian-walukiewicz-arsenal-southampton-transfer-news/

Hmmm...I’m concerned about the loss of a Tadic but hopeful that Elyounoussi is a decent replacement. Lemina leaving for West Ham or wherever is not a foregone conclusion. Last year I thought that we had a mid-table squad, ruined into a relegation squad by an amazingly poor manager who stayed on far too long. Under competent management and hoping that the new recruits are as good as the club think they are, I expect we can get more wins this season than last, have more enjoyable games to watch and will end up somewhere in mid table without the stress of another relegation battle. I will of course be very sad if I am proven wrong.

I’m starting to get flashbacks to the “where’s VVD” fun and games of last summer.

It really was, and many websites fell for it. Some very interesting standards in journalism from Tuttomercato.

They want £50M off Wolves for Rui Patricio... -
They changed it after the fact. The original definitely said Southampton.

From Tuttomercato... “Offer of Southampton for Yerry Mina , leaving defender from Barcelona who is not even left for the US tour of the Spanish champion team. The English club, according to what was collected by our editorial team, put 15 million euros plus 5 bonuses on the plate. The player's entourage is coming to Spain, the Colombian defender - three goals at the last World Cup - he hoped for an Arsenal bid. That for now has not arrived and therefore puts the saints in the forefront for the acquisition of one of the most interesting South American defense centres.” https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/europa/esclusiva-tmw-yerry-mina-scatto-del-southampton-c-a-l-offerta-ufficiale-1138219

He seems to run hot and cold. Had some awful moments away to West Ham and Newcastle, but was fantastic away at West Brom.

I’m with you on this. If you believe what’s in the media, Liverpool are attaching unrealistic price tags on their fringe players. -

Mine turned up today. These UA shirts seem to fit a little snug so buying one size up may be a good idea - it worked for me with this order.

I’m assuming this means we won’t be able to watch an online stream of the friendly?

You have to pay £5 and watch it on Derby’s site, unfortunately.

FF not even in the squad for this one.
