  1. Thoroughly enjoyable game.
  2. That was a cracking goal by the 12 year old French lad.
  3. Promes has posted a response on his Instagram account in English...”When you see the lies on the internet!” Due to my limited interwebbing skills I can’t link to the picture of him laughing with his mates. https://www.instagram.com/qpromes/?hl=en
  4. The commentators on my feed mentioning that France have only lost one game in 15 matches. The team that beat them was Columbia.
  5. Wolves and Saints are in terested in Andrea Petagna, according to TuttoMercato... “Wolverhampton and Southampton were on the trail of Andrea Petagna dell'Atalanta. The attacker, outgoing from the orobics, is estimated 10-12 million by the Nerazzurri who will not fall below this threshold. In addition, the Italian club intends to put on the contract also 10% on the future resale of the striker.” https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/esclusiva-tmw-atalanta-wolverhampton-e-southampton-su-petagna-1128213
  6. Rose is overrated, and Ashley Young is not a very good LB. England have some problems in that position.
  7. We even won a penalty shootout in ‘96.
  8. Welcome Moi!
  9. A few more details here... “Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 23:04 Quincy Promes has been involved in a fight in Ibiza, claims Johan Derksen on Thursday-evening at VI Oranje stays at home. The Dutch national team, after a step-up with Wesley Sneijder, who, according to Derksen, had nothing to do with the brawl, broke away from his wife. "Promes has gone through the ribbon in Ibiza, where his blows have fallen and his wife is said to be one of the victims, and other people who wanted to appease were also beaten ," says Derksen in the RTL4 talk show. Promes was out in the evening with Wesley Sneijder, among others. "But he was already gone at the moment of the incident, his agent says." According to Derksen, a friend of table mate René van der Gijp was an eyewitness. Presenter Wilfred Genee says that there are several sources that confirm the story. According to the VI men, Promes was even arrested by the Spanish police.” https://www.voetbalprimeur.nl/nieuws/824744/nieuwtje-van-derksen-en-co-promes-betrokken-bij-grote-vechtpartij-op-ibiza.html
  10. “Quincy Promes has been arrested in Ibiza. This is reported by the VI Oranje Blijft Thuis program . The attacker of Spartak Moscow was involved in a fight. Promes might have also beaten his girlfriend. Before he left for Russia, Promes played in the Netherlands for, among others, FC Twente.” https://www.telegraaf.nl/sport/2233784/quincy-promes-gearresteerd-op-ibiza
  11. “Reports of a move for former Ibrox skipper Steven Davis from Southampton are wide of the mark. Speculation earlier suggested the former Rangers skipper was keen on a return but no move is on the cards.” https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/transfer-news-live-rangers-celtic-12809825 (@16:59)
  12. According to this, City will not be exercising their buy-back clause for Mooy. Previous speculation linked him with Southampton... https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-city-transfer-news-mooy-14836094
  13. I’d rather see England top the group and play Japan in the next round than Columbia, who look like a very dangerous side. If we get past Japan, the QF will be more difficult against Brazil/Mexico but with Spain or Croatia likely to make the semis in the “easier” half of the draw, we’re looking at a difficult path to the final wherever we go. Our dodgy defence will play teams well-equipped to exploit it, on either half of the draw.
  14. Yes please.
  15. Armstrong’s “First Day” video...
  16. Good luck to Tadic. I’m going to miss seeing him in a Saints shirt. I’ve got a feeling we’re going to miss his contributions. Hopefully decent replacements will be incoming.
  17. Sweden gets the last laugh after Germany’s bench personnel rubbed it in when they scored the 2-1 goal in injury time on Saturday. How enjoyable. A sweet little dose of come-uppance.
  18. His influential role at the end of last season in keeping us up. Those two goals against Bournemouth. We may have been relegated without them.
  19. The Sun claims that Boro have not received any inquiries for Gibson, so far... https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6631926/boro-transfer-news-bristol-city-aden-flint/
  20. It is in mine! It made me laugh that they misspell it twice in the same message.
  21. Welcome Stuart Armstrong!
  22. He then tweeted “Sounds like transfer activity heating up...” when asked if there are any signs of other incoming players. https://mobile.twitter.com/SimonPeach/status/1011582764183965696
  23. Columbia looked great this afternoon.
