  1. So close for Long diverting an Austin shot.
  2. Defoe and Ibe coming on.
  3. Redmond off for Long
  4. Lovely goal by Tadic!!!!
  5. Bournemouth just scored off a ****ing corner they should never have been given.
  6. Bloody hell that was a good leg save by McCarthy off Ake.
  7. Good effort Lemina. Looks like we might be getting the Lemina who played so well away to West Brom.
  8. Better from Saints.
  9. That makes for interesting, but very grim reading.
  10. Letting Pellegrino stay on as late as he did was an obviously terrible decision. Firing Puel without having a decent manager lined up was also a terrible decision. We would have stood a slightly better chance at survival with Puel in charge instead of the hapless Pellegrino. Firing Puel with a more competent replacement available would have been a decent move, for me. Under Puel we dropped from 63 points to 46, and his teams produced a dull, turgid brand of football that alienated many supporters. It is telling that some of the issues reported about Puel last year, especially touching on player discontentment with his methods and fan disdain for the final product on the pitch, are repeating themselves at Leicester.
  11. It’s still not looking very good for Puel at Leicester... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/04/26/claude-puel-fighting-save-job-leicester-city-club-plans-big/
  12. He didn’t seem any more downcast and dour than usual, to me.
  13. Davis is out for this weekend’s game with an achilles problem.
  14. This sounded like praise to me... “Just to add a little perspective on the quotes from Neil Chen. He was applying a very broad brush on club management, praising a wide range of roles, not purely football decision making. #saintsfc” Perhaps we’ll have to wait for the full report to be sure.
  15. Look at the guy’s subsequent tweets. Chen was praising the club’s management, not lamenting its failings. https://mobile.twitter.com/TonyHusbandBBC/status/988825685622972416 https://mobile.twitter.com/TonyHusbandBBC/status/988834435381518337
  16. “Perfect management team”...it feels like we’re stuck in the Twilight Zone. They really can’t be paying close attention at the ownership level.
  17. I seem to recall someone posting ITK info on here a few days ago about a bust-up between Hughes and Boufal. The Sun is reporting it now... https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6125782/southampton-sofiane-boufal-frozen-out-mark-hughes-dressing-room-bust-up/
  18. Based on how the Puel and Pellegrino appointments dragged on so Les could ensure the successful candidate ticked every one of the boxes in his exhaustive selection criteria, I’m not that optimistic it will be done quickly if the club opts for someone other than Hughes, and Les is still in charge of selection. It will probably be an interminable selection process producing another underwhelming appointment.
  19. For me, a win against Bournemouth is crucial. Win and we’ll be breathing down Swansea’s neck assuming they don’t pull a rabbit out of the hat against Chelsea.
  20. Morata pushed Hoedt in the back, which gave him the space to score. It reminded me a little of Lukaku’s goal in the home loss against Man U.
  21. I agree but having 3 out of the next 4 at home ought to help them unless it starts getting poisonous at their council house again. W. Ham fixtures... Man City (H) Leicester (A) United (H) Everton (H)
  22. Full time: Chelsea 2-0 Saints.
  23. Well, at least the other fixtures have been OK so far.
