  1. Stuart Gray Steve Wigley Let's not go down that route again
  2. Genuine question to all - are we taking it easier with the pressing in first halves now to try to conserve ourselves for the second? We used to blow ourselves out before half time, hence our terrible record for throwing away leads, but that seems to have changed
  3. Although he has shown obvious ability at youth levels, he seems totally the wrong build for a full back. Perhaps it doesnt matter but something's not right for me. He reminded me of that stocky winger Fulham had, Kamara, who was ok to be fair but not a world beater. Also perhaps the thing he needs to learn at Port Vale is that it's not just us who think he's not ready

  5. I wonder if this has been put out to pressure Ramos
  6. The only reason to join United is big money, you're basically killing your career
  7. I'm not sure how logistically we sack the manager right now. Would surely put off players from signing if there's no manager in place
  8. I will give him another chance if he ditches three at the back
  9. It is time for a new manager
  10. He's been trash today. Needs a proper striker up alongside him
  11. I do hope we change the formation once we actually have some fit fullbacks
  12. It means we don't have Djenepo at left back
  13. We've said we're going to sign a striker. It's pretty obvious that we are short up front and at full back. We'll be a different team with those positions addressed, not least because we'll be able to play a different formation
  14. Such a stop-start half. Leeds have clattered us every time we've put some passes together. Good to see a couple of names in the book now. It's also clear that we're struggling to do our normal press in this heat
  15. Can't help but worry that we're underestimating how hard it is to offload these sorts of players without massively subsidising their wages
  16. It is looking increasingly like a mistake that we kept him this summer. Even if we get rid now, we're going to have to get rid of the new backroom staff too or find a manager that is happy to not bring his own people
  17. If someone said "I've spent £20,000 on food this year", would you assume that they were just talking about their big weekly shops at Tesco or across all food outlets?
  18. Che is decent
  19. I'd like to keep Che but he only has two years left on his contract. If we're far apart on wage demands then we might need to sell to maximise his value
  20. This is right - it will all hinge on whether KWP wants to go
  21. There's a difference though between supporting a player who just missed a few chances and one whose off the ball effort was simply not up to scratch
  22. With one year left on his contract, I could well believe that Lyon and Saints might agree a deal. Whether the player would agree to come is another matter
  23. That was incredible close control
