Three pieces of advice for the new owner
StuRomseySaint replied to saintbletch's topic in The Saints
1) Communicate with the fans. 2) Do not let SISA or Saints Trust or any other 'superfan' anywhere near the boardroom. 3) Bring back Georges Prost. 4) Get an experienced English manager. -
Design a Saints rebrand - Fan competition

I respect the guys ambitions and efforts but it was always going to be nearly impossible to get a decent turnout. Watching live acts is not everyones cup of tea, probably a small minority. The acts although good no doubt, were local. And people can't blame people for not 'turning up anyway' , if you don't like live music, which alot of people don't, then it would be rather irritating having to listen to it all night!

I do get it! Now we have our club back, and it being a private one as well, there is no need for a 'fan on the board' and the Saints Trust is nothing more than a 'supporters club' now anyway. But if they want to have something to make sure they get on the TV and the Radio, then reform TSA or something, just stay away from the silly 'fan on the board' idea... there are much better ways of giving fans their say.

F*ck, let's hope Matt and Lynam are simply telling Wotte that he will be running the Academy next year at the very most. We need a proven English manager, please don't give this clown any more time. We are no longer in a position to have to go for the cheapest option. A decent manager is the single most important thing we need next season.
-
And here is more of a reason than any for SFC to ensure we serve Stella next season.
-
I live in Baddesley, we don't have pikeys here, thankyou very much.

To get back into the Championship. A big name manager. £5m tops on players. Some shred purchases of older heads with experience. I think the majority of the outlay will be on wages as opposed to transfer fees. You can pick up some very good players for nout, as long as you pay them.
-
It clearly states in the letter that it started as 4, and when money was talked, 3 walked.
-
To be fair, I can't see it being any more 'business orientated' than it has the past 10 years. I know under single ownership, there is the possibility that the owner could do what he likes, but if MLT has given it his blessing, then this is highly unlikely.
-
... will it be an end to all of the silly 'fan on the board' ideas? Can we just have a club which has a dedicated customer relations department, regular fans forums and transparancy when it comes to fans issues and footballing matters? I hope so, I am really looking forward to a fresh start, and that means everything, from the stadium ( Itchen North please ), the supporters groups, the team and the beer ( no more Carlsberg thanks, Stella please )

The last man in the consortium has no links to football, which rules Tabor in, nobody has stated the other members of the consortium who walked didn't have links to football. It's all a punt, but the conclusion I have come up with has nothing that can be ruled out 100%, so let's wait and see. I am hoping if it is true, then Magner and McManus will come back to the table with the Pinnacle bid, based on Tabor having many, many investments with them, which will turn us into a real force.
-
Just like last time eh? Took him all of 2 games to go from zero to hero when he returned last time. Fickle fish f*ckers.
-
As I said, just speculating and having a punt based on the information. We know the Pinnacle bid stalled, and it was reported on here that one or more people withdrew their funding. Tabor works very closely at business level with McManus and Magner, so it would be no suprise if they were linked, it would also be no suprise if they were to link up in the future. After the Pinnacle bid stalled, there was a last minute approach from an Irish consortium.... coincidence? Here's hoping.
-
This is my completely non-ITK guess as posted on another thread. The original bid consisted of Magner, McManus and Tabor. Magner and McManus could not agree on the terms and walked, causing the Pinnacle bid to stall. Magner and McManus came back as the 'Irish' Consortium. After being persuaded by Matty and Lyneham, Tabor returned to the table with Pinnacle, who were then given exclusivity. Well, that is my guess, completely non-ITK, but it does fit in with what little we do know.

If Michael Tabor is our new owner ( which I strongly believe is the case) , then I very much doubt the Radio Hampshire will be back on air, if they are, then it's a safe bet that it won't be broadcasting from St Marys and won't have access to Saints matches. Why? Because one Tabors portfolio of businesses is the Galaxy Radio network, which his son is CEO of.
-
Michael Tabor I think McManus and Magnier were in there as well, possibly the ones that walked away.... and possibly the 'Irish Consortium' http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/industry_sectors/media/article4769451.ece

I tip hairdressers and Essruu, that's it. Most waiters are students anyway so don't deserve my money.
-
I have plenty of my own, I was hoping to get intouch with someone who collects unwashed sweaty mens clothing. Anyone know anyone?
-
There must be someone on this forum who has some spare sweaty mens used clothes... unwashed of course?
-
Does anyone know where I can get some sweaty used items of mens clothing?
-
Which one, BNP or UKIP?
-
Glad you got to go somewhere in Swansea... FFS
