Just got this email from the club - no phone call for me but then I’m in the cheap seats aka the Family Centre. With Southampton in tier 2 of the government’s local restriction tier system, the club will be able to allow a maximum of 2,000 supporters into the stadium for our match against Sheffield United on Sunday 13th December. You previously confirmed that you would like to be considered for selection to attend matches in October and November. To retain the same details and group you may have previously selected for the match against Sheffield United, and further fixtures in December and January, no further action is required. If you wish to amend this, please complete the form using the button below.

Is the club so desperate for money they are now offering LD sponsored shirts at a still high price with the chance of winning a prize? Just received an email saying “buy the shirt we never ‘lost’ in”.

However you look at it - it still feels like a rip off! I already had Sky Sports and added BT Sports thinking my refunded season ticket money would cover the additional cost each month and stupidly thinking also that the various broadcasters would continue to show ALL the games live and free if you had the packages. Older but no wiser!

Listening to Sky you’d think taking Walcott on loan was going to result in us dancing in the street! I’ve got no objection to him coming but he’s really not the exciting signing that they’re making him out to be.

This is now on the SFC site too so maybe the date of the 27th October does refer to the WBA refunds and not the Spurs refunds - who knows! As guaranteed by The Saints Promise, all 2020/21 Season Ticket holders’ refunds for the match against Tottenham Hotspur are now being processed, within 14 working days of the game. Payments are being run in batches with a large number already having been refunded to Season Ticket Holders, and all remaining payments being processed during the early part of next week, prior to Thursday 8thOctober. Once actioned, refunds can still take up to five working days to appear in your account so please wait until the week commencing Monday 12th October before contacting the Ticket Office.

This is now up on the SFC site If you are a Season Ticket holder and have not received a refund for the Spurs game by Tuesday 27th October, please contact the Ticket Office at tickets@saintsfc.co.uk or call us at 02381 780780. WBA refunds in 14 working days.

I did try again. This time the grand kids names were bold so I added them and went to the ‘payment’ screen where I was told they were ineligible! Just tried for a third time and their names are greyed out again. I’m wondering if the site thinks I am adding from more than two households which isn’t allowed although if you are taking grand children that isn’t a rare occurrence. However one of the kids had my address and one their own address because I remember birthday cards bring sent by the club last year to the two different addresses. I will have to wait until Tuesday and then phone the ticket office.

I’ve got a season ticket and so have two of my grand children I pay for them and they are in my family and friends. I tried to opt all three of us in last night and I can only do myself. Their names are in the drop down menu but are greyed out so I can’t add them too. Another call to the ticket office then. It’s getting to be a pain.

I did- I emailed the club and they replied saying the order had gone through. I then received a further email saying the items had been dispatched although not yet received. However I haven’t actually paid for them (apart from the voucher amount) as there is still a debit and a corresponding credit on my Paypal account. It is only £8 so I will wait and see if my account gets debited before I return to the fray!

Cracking game - now 3-3

Has anyone tried to use their £35 voucher yet? It runs out on Oct 1st so I thought I’d get some stocking fillers. The payment processing went awol and the Saints site said they had problems. I got confirmation of my order from PayPal and then ten minutes later another email from Paypal saying the payment had been refunded. I tried again a few minutes ago - now they won’t accept my £35 voucher discount presumably because they think I’ve already used it! I’ve emailed the club but it’s so damn frustrating - and time wasting.

According to the BBC Southampton have currently surpassed 80% of their 2019-20 total in season ticket sales, which is above what the club anticipated given the situation and uncertainty I also wasn’t aware that the majority of Premier League clubs haven’t sold season tickets for the coming season.

After speaking to someone on the phone Monday I was asked to email the ticket office as my issue couldn’t be sorted. I emailed Monday and again Wednesday and have still not had a response.

After a year away and giving up my season ticket in the Itchen I decided when the prices came out in April to move to the Family area. Being over 65 I paid £355 and got 2 under 11 tickets for grand children at £19 a pop. It’s the cheapest I’ve paid for a season ticket seat for donkey years and far cheaper than the ridiculous prices being charged for Cat A games. I know not everyone is in the same position and the family centre is a bit sedate but from a value for money point of view I’m not complaining.

Phoned ticket office today. Still being prepared and will be posted out first two weeks of August. Shame as one is first, surprise season ticket for my grandson whose birthday is this Sunday.

That was my first European away match since Anderlecht in 76/77. I thought the singing was pretty good considering the spread of fans, seemed ok where I was anyway right behind the goal. More of a problem was not being able to actually see the goal because of all the fans standing in the way against the railings. Think the Inter stewards were bemused at the aggravation between the away fans each time the view was blocked by a new set of supporters thinking they'd found a good place to stand!

Just a brilliant day out. Ok, icing on the cake would have been a win, sort of difficult to believe we actually lost after that performance. Still quietly confident we will get through to next stages.

Am I the only one here on the Saints travel package tomorrow? God, I must be boring!

Delivered 7.15 this morning. Block 212.

Not received mine yet either. Did get an email this evening with the times and itinerary for the official travel package though.
