Will never beat the Albion Band playing "oh when the Saints" , we have our own song, we have had it for years not like teams like West Brom, Stoke and Hull who have invented one
why change ?
think that all changed once money started changing hands at silly amounts for young players.
i have always said that the quality of our academy will drop if we spend to long out of the top flight, parents believe their kids are the best and do not look at where they may get first team football at an early age.
Chelse before Crewe is the way it works
Without it we would lose our Academy status , that was one of the reasons the skates are desparate to get their own training facilty , the FA threatened to remove their status without a firm committment that the new facility in Lee on Solent would be built
Saw his debut at 16 ,i think , away to United at Old Trafford
thing was we good give youngsters a chance then because the rest of the side was strong, Danny was part of the best league side we ever had in 84
We have rarely produced good defenders that was why in the past it was so good to watch us at home, games with scores like 9-3, 5-5,6-1,6-3 were seen at the Dell
problem was we took some hidings away
has to be Graham Roberts for me, we have rarely produced good defenders not sure how he got through the net
although to be fair he was a late developer , playing for Sky Blues mens team in early 70's in Southampton Sunday League , i think he was about 15 then ?
all depends on how much cash any new owners have, if as i suspect the club will have to be self funding from day 1 then the scope for dramatically cutting season ticket prices is going to be limited
but according to The Sun, Gavin Davies has told his friends that he will not let Southanpton go into Non League football.
It was just a 2 line piece.
BS or not?
