To win at home you have to go forward not sideways, also you have to play for 90mins not 75

Hope you had a good time Pete. We have had a week of over a thousand posts saying nothing. the ITK's still are telling us nothing if they do in fact know anything. Me i am hiding the bank statements in case the wife realises we have a grand in it which would normally have gone on season tickets, i knew there was a good reason 25 years ago why we should not have had a joint account

I wonder what they will be tomorrow? maybe Angel Loadsamoney, business man from Boliva , agrees deal with Mark Fry to buy club for $150m . More likely to be Joe Skint buys club for a bet and invests 20p into club

YES winning promotion , for those who have never seen it, is equal to a cup quarter final

Interesting points of view of a very complex topic. I do not blame Sky , i blame the old fuddy duddys at the Football League who allowed the circumstances to exist which led to the formation of the greed is good premiership, of which we were founder members. Everyone gambles on staying in the top flight or returning within 2 years to keep the cash flow up. How will it end ? A european super league is being discussed but as i understand it that will run mid week as a replacement of the champions league, it will have promotion and relegation from its 2 proposed divisions, if that means european teams have the same income opportunties as premiership sides perhaps we will not attract the top players. UnLESS someone at the really top level goes pop , Roman is killed or something, then nothing will change because they will all gamble on maintaining their income. A draft type system or a levelling of income will never work because of European law on competition. No looks like we are stuffed with Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool and maybe Man City dominating the game for years to go, unless the Glaziers gRand Children decide to invest only in their Usa based teams

it may not finish in football terms for SFC

Funny that great day led to the worst 6 years in my 49 years of support

IT is the last bit of your post that worries me because i do not believe we will be able to afford a 20 goal a season striker. imo we are going to end up with a businessman with little money to lose on the team, it will be funded by gate money etc not "gifts" from a wealthy owner. I find by self laughing at posts talking about players and managers because realism has not set in with many , we are in Division 3 (sorry Div 1), potless and the longer this drags out the more in disarray the squad for next year will be, that is if there is a next season for SFC
-
another attempt to show SLH and SFC are not linked ?
-
All very worrying but, imo, the one THING i am fairly sure of is that whoever ends up owning SFC we will not be buying our way back to the CCC.

Not sure if they are "thuggish defenders" imo they are big strong and quick who use there body strength to achieve good defending

Bless em all Bless em all Ron Davies, Fred Kemp and Frank Saul

Do not entirely agree , watching the game Millwall have a solid back 4 who constantly win the ball in the air especially at set plays so imo, that puts a question mark over Perry and , dare i say it, Davis whose weakest part is crosses. But they did also have a couple of luxury players like Martin who created the goal What shone out as well as they all knew when to get it down and pass it and when to hoof it 50 yards away, they also were very fit and closed down very quickly. IMO Wotton may be to old and slow even for League 1, Lallana will have to expect some rough treatment if he starts going in circles in midfield because he will be hit hard. It is going to be a tough season , if we are still playing that is

totally agree we need experience not potential, lets use our academy lads as the potential next season and not import it as we tried this season
-
Potential and Could are the words that frighten me , we need experience from any players coming in
-
To early for test match cricket especially against an opposition led by someone who clearly does not want to be playing
-
only just read this Darren , well said i agree entirely
-
probably could not afford him but Steve Watson from Weds , imo, would do a good job for us in div 3, sorry league 1
-
Look a bit harder please

maybe that was the year i got a good hiding under the main stand at WHL?
