put the jinx on him imo we should approach the next season, if there is one, with humility keep our gobs shut, especialy the manager, and do our talking on the pitch. every team we play is going to see SMS as there Wembley and unless the team is up for it we will struggle. a half decent start and crowds of 20k plus are likely and as long as the budget regarding wages to players has been constructed correctly we should be able to attract and afford decent div one players. in many ways back in the mid 60's the club had a good average attendance, a good income and spent it wisely, Ron Davies being the classic example, we need owners and a manager to work within those paramenters again by div one standards we are still a big club

plc or private company with rupert in charge it would have made no difference imo a plc only works in big business with institutional shareholders, our problem was the split of the shares left us open to cliques and gave control to minority shareholders

May have been a lot more if they had not all followed each other round the outside of the pitch and then all swoop on a person putting money in the first bucket.

I do not think many people who have managed SFC will have bad words to say about the club and its fans. now the people who employed them, well that is a different matter

I JUST CANNOT SEE who showed any bottle that day, other than us poor fans

only 8 others were gutless , so which 2 were ok that dreadful day

3 recent PL teams down to League One - Coincidence?
70's Mike replied to Saint Martini's topic in The Saints
not a coincidence but no big money owners either , not like Reading or Brum. not sure how WBA fit in to theory though -
after this weekend be prepared for some heavy policing

just think how bad it would have been if he had made a mistake in his job

but we planned to much in the first season down when we should have really gone for it, if we did not achieve promotion in year one we still had the parachute payment in year two when belts could have been tightened. the other issue is so much concentration on long term planning ie the academy etc only benefits other clubs on the pitch because we never utilised the cash to improve our first team only the squad Lowe seems to have been happy to settle for CCC football

he could just come on your penalties and the other 9 outfield players would have to cope

Is it a good idea to support a splinter club?

maybe it is just an age thing the side i started watching did what you would want AFC Southampton to do, it climbed the divisions and stuffed the big boys every now and again -
The "Inform Mark Fry: Lowe, Askham return is unacceptable" thread

Good Would be great if the bidders were people who know one on here had ever heard of, a mystery millionaire -
Well done, probably more than the bucket collection at SMS, HOPE YOUR BUSINESS costs were not to high
-
maybe because he did not pull up trees at Blackburn IS A GOOD REASON TO APPOINT HIM , as we are now a Division 3 side ( cannot be doing with this Div one rubbish) We have to get someone who can spot a good player for that division not the premiership , Ince did that at MK dONS. Me i think Alan Knill at Bury could do a good job, he has served his apprentice in the lowe leagues

+1 AT 55 i could not be bothered to watch anyone else, Southampton Football Club are in my blood NOT the game -
in many ways that makes it worst , i could maybe forgive the co*k ups if it had been for the money but " interests of club at heart" then surely the same ones will be repeated as in the past
