  1. Slightly disagree to have a chance of promotion we need to have a stable team, if we have 11 different it will take until october for the team to gel in competitive match situations. we need, imo, a goalscoring heading lump up front , a left back and a brick sh*t house to anchor midfield
  2. as a striker he must be able to score when one on one with keeper, i agree with Um's 6
  3. i see a lot of the moral behind the keyboard uber fans are on tonight. did the same thing not happen last season against Shef Utd, only difference was the Sheffield fans did not throw a smoke bomb. no excuse but everyone was young once
  4. Steve Howard will be surplus to requirements at Leicester in the CCC. Nice to see Matt Oakley there today
  5. get used to it, with games rarely selling out it is now easy for the "yoof" to get tickets sat together which makes trouble easier. when we had a lot of season ticket holders many of the hooligan element did not or could not get tickets both home and away
  6. we need someone who has a good knowledge of league 1 and of the type of player and football you need to get out of it. for me that is Alan Knill at Bury
  7. 25 April will be a day forever remember in saints history
  8. why if this lot had played all season we would have , imo, survived. the problem was we played the first half of the season as an experiment if JPS had been their rather than some of the others we tried, if Gillett had been there. but we had the dutch experiment of sideways football
  9. TOTALLY DISAGREE imo over the last few weeks , especially since Wotte has been in charge he has given everything for the club and we will need that sort of committment next season, as someone else said without his goals and KD saves the season would have been over weeks ago.
  10. Just got home, game summed up whole season at home. unable to get 2 in front, whilst DMG missed penalty i was more upset by BWP attempt when one on one with their keeper. In the end KD saved us again and must have earned half of our points on his own. And how come he never got presented with the player of the year award just a mention over the pa system.
  11. 25 April 1978 Orient 1 Southampton 1 Thousands treked up to East London to see Saints earn promotion back to the first division with Tony Funnell scoring the equaliser. What a night Happy days, i will cling on to the memories today because imo today is a sad, sad day. But i will wear my red and white shirt with pride, ignore the jibes of born again skates 4 houses down the road , and look to a return to good days
  12. AGREED we will end up with -20 with rupert is involved
  13. Auld Lang Syne at 4-50pm tomorrow Good Byee , Good Byee , Wipe the tears Baby Dears from your eyees. Will be the last time we see some of these players, oh maybe some good has come from this mess
  14. disagree i think we will thump them , no pressure now because we are down anyway.
  15. everyone feel leading up to the game tomorrow. The game itself is still important to avoid the 10 points next season but i just cannot get really wound up for it, sadness and anger are the primary feelings. But hiding behind them is hope and a degree of optimism that the worst, short of winding up the club, is now behind us. one thing is certain Nothing will be the same again
  16. No WE do not, but it just shows that their are people out there capable of doing a job in a professional manner without pi**ing off the customers
  17. why start at xmas you could safely go back to last may, i thought the decision re pearson was mad, but sending out payments knowing the overdraft limit would be broken seems like a delibrate act to provoke barclays and give the excuse for administration. Good businessman ?
  18. another point is that they must have known how bad the finances were in January, i cannot believe they got that much worst from Jan TO now, why did we not off load Surman or Lallana or anyone else , even at a cut price
  19. ASKING FOR ADVICE . why break the habit of the last 12 years.
  20. of a business that went bang ?
  21. or the person who authorised payments knowing it took us over our overdraft linit
  22. no but he could sue those you advised them to wait
  23. NO POINT taking legal action against Football League Blaziers , should sue whoever told Rupert not to go into admin at christmas because the League cannot touch you
  24. Actually it was Barretts assessing the site from the air to see how many flats will fit in the space
