when you say `really push' do you mean lower his value, as that's pretty much all a seller can do.

Doubt much will be revealed. He will want to avoid talking about transfers if he can and focus on the game ahead.

It's standard practice these days I think. Players who want a move, see what they think is a reasonable offer made for them declined, then force the issue by not turning up for training. Managers tend to keep these things quiet, as they don't want the world knowing they have a very disgruntled player, so they say they are `ill' or `injured'...`away getting medical treatment'. The player can only hide away for so long before they are fined by the club though, so if nothing happens they will return and stink the place out. This is why I have totally discarded Sulemena as a player for us this season, or any season in fact. We don't want a loan. We don't want him back here I suspect, even if we did get promoted. Getting a transfer deal done with Everton looks tough though if they have no money.

Everton were keen on him before. Not sure there are many other suitors with the financial muscle (ie prem sides) to spend £30m on him. That's a lot for player with a small highlight reel. He is a talent though.

I think this is why he was away from the club getting `external medical treatment' (cough... gone awol) as he believes we want too much money for him (it's more than we paid to be fair) preventing him from making a move to another top flight side. The club seem happy to hold their ground at the moment, but usually these things come to a head and the player departs, somehow.

What's a realistic loan fee for a £20-30m player? It doesn't seem right for them to get him for nothing and just pay his wages. If Leeds are paying £1m loan fee for Spence (assuming that's accurate), you'd think something a fair bit bigger than that wouldn't be out the question. With all the talk of amortisation on here, maybe the loan fee requested ought to match that?
-
I don't want to create another argument about how much cash we have in our bank at this moment after the previous sales, but could we be in a position to accept a similar offer?
-
If we want £30m for Sulemena, do you think there is any chance Everton get close to that? The supposed £22m verbal offer seems a long way short of £30m.
-
Martin seemed a bit annoyed at the leaks. I wonder if they have pinned down where they were coming from?
-
Sulemena and ABK both training, so their `injury problems' are not going to prevent moves.
-
A Nigerian newspaper reported that he hasn't been training for a week now. The headline was that he has refused to train. No idea if it's true.
-
They have been linked to several strikers, but they will only be signing one. I wonder which is accurate. Iheanacho somehow feels a better fit to me than Che. Also, do Palace need to sell Mateta before signing a striker? Good question though. Where is Che going to go. To Bournemouth perhaps?
-
What is his touch like? Does he play with his back to goal much? Is it just that strength that is lacking?
-
I really want to see him make it here too, but his laid back style, propensity to try nutmegs on the half way line (for example) and inability to impress on the training ground seem to point to him departing without that happening.

The replacement at Sunderland for Ross Stewart is Nazariy Rusyn. It's been in the offing for a while, but he will require a work permit before he can join them. Maybe they will sell Stewart without a replacement being signed, but I am sure it would help if that deal went through.

are players actually injury prone, or is it just bad luck that they get multiple injuries over a period of time?
-
Cardiff POTS probably don't go unnoticed by Swansea scouts too.
-
Keeping KWP, ABK, Sulemana and Che would be brilliant, assuming all aren't totally fucked off with the club for stopping them move to bigger and better paid things. We don't get better when replacing KWP. Totally understand should some/all depart though.
-
...or some other `homeschooled' fella like Callum Chambers or Michael Obafemi.
-
He's a good solid left back. But £60m. Fuck off. Mental price.
-
if your best player in a position gets injured, you are obviously going to downgrade. But can you have someone like say Piroe on the bench waiting for Che to get injured? I guess he could be coming on and pushing Che for a starting place or even play as a two at times. You could well be right though about our strength in depth though. AA is not convincing down the middle and Mara needs to step up. I just wonder if crosses from Fraser will suit his game. The goal against City came from a good low cross. Could those two work well maybe?
-
£63k a week sounds in the realms of possibilities. It's just a guess by Everton fans that we are paying half of Holgates wages and then the same percentage (50%) is now being used for Fraser.
-
ABK is going back to Germany. He's off to Dortmund having agree a fee for £20m with Saints?
-
Should we expect the reserve central forward to be better than AA/Mara in the championship? Isn't the reserve striker always worse than the first choice?
