I'm actually sure he was as bad as we thought. Total load of rubbish, no pace, no threat, no idea. Think John Barnes at his absolute worst for England. £1.75m was a tidy sum for us, not to mention his wages. McCant was the perfect knickname. Thank god we didn't have to suffer him for years.

Jordon Mutch joining Cardiff apparently. Thought he'd be a good signing for us so Cardiff has done well there. Quality player. The fact we haven't gone for him either shows we are aimign higher or happy with what we have in the middle. Maybe Cardiff can finally do it next season. Might have a few bob on them if they can sign a striker. Perhaps we'll grab one of the other Bluenoses I suggested. Butland, Davies or Redmond? -
short of some form of oldco into newco thing where their contracts are no longer valid, but the newco somehow retains its golden share, I don't see what can be done. They ain't walking, so someone is going to have to pay them at some point.

No, but we can work it out. Unsecured creditors: CSI PLC - Non Interest £10.5m Trade creditors £2m Transfer & Agents Fees - English Clubs £1.1m Transfer & Agents Fees - Overseas Clubs £1m Players bonuses 09/10 £1.75m Unpaid Salaries 11/12 £1.6m HMRC VAT £0.74m HMRC PAYE & NI £1.6 Net Salaries Control £0.5m CVA creditors OldCo £16.5m Accruals & Other creditors £1.6m Deferred income £1.25m Total £40m I'm not sure if the footballer creditors get a vote, I suspect they do, but if not then the revised total would be £33.6m. You have of course got Portapin's charge over the ground, a secured creditor therefore totalling £17.6m. If someone can confirm whether the football creditors get a vote (and also Portapin) then you can work out the percentage vote each party has - assuming Baker Tilly block vote for the OldCo debt.

can't see them getting relegated anyway. They won the league and were flying at the end of the season. Carry that form across and they'll win games. -
shame because he is utter pony. Must have had a huge relegation wage reduction clause in his contract for them afford him.

Likewise, he is far too causal. Not good enough at right back or centre half. Not sure how he makes the Croatian national side. -
is Upson that bad? Not seen much of him over the last two seasons, but give it a few months of our two current CBs trying to keep tabs on the likes of Rooney and Aguero and maybe he'll not look quite so bad. We could do with a bit of pace at fullback to help them out mind.

How Good Can Schneiderlin Get? And Who's Better: Schneiderlin or Cork?
Chez replied to @BHiglett's topic in The Saints
You can watch as much football as you like, doesn't mean you read the game well. Not a chance Cork has a better touch than Morgan. I rate both, but in Morgan we have a guy that will have no problems in the Prem at all. You could see from pretty much his first touch in his first game that we had a player on our hands. Cork is decent too, but he needs a little more room to work in. -

Morgan will make the transition to the Prem seemlessly. He'll enable us to compete. We need to find a few more with his ability. -
don't be too sure. They have a £50k a week man on their books draining them. They are in massive trouble financially. I imagine the club know this and we haven't been backwards in the past to `help' sides in need out by taking their talent off their hands so the likes of Davies, Redmond, Foster, Butland and Mutch will be on our radar.
-
Redmond is a very good prospect and if we don't grab him now he might go beyond our reach. However, he's got a lot to learn and at times was poor away from home. Towards the latter part of the season he did find his feet playing in a more flexible role behind the striker. He is a winger though and we need competition to Lallana and he might fit the bill there. The £5m priced tag is a bit scary. I don't see a player as good as Chamberlain. I've being saying it for yoks that Mutch and Davies should be on our list with Redmond perhaps not far behind. Brum are skint, but I just wonder how long before they get desperate.

As much as talksport annoys me I'm glad there is a football (ahem) sports radio channel. There is so much room for improvement there. Give it five years and it might even be worth listening to for longer than 30 minutes, once a week.

when you say paid in full, I presume you mean he made the creditors an offer which was agreed and then that was paid in full in one lump sum. The amount Markus paid, £13m or thereabouts, did not equal the total debt going into admin.

not the red and white quarters though they look terrible. Navy shorts would look good IMO. That might be a nice (and dare I say it controversial) move back to our past.

I did it last year. In two weeks I had four cases, two of which were quite simply one word against the other and no other evidence. Massive responsibility, with peoples lives in your hands. I actually felt most jury members were almost too scared to find people guilty, preferring to take the easy way out pointing to doubt that I didn't feel was there. Take a book as there can be lots and lots of sitting around.

Chinny will vote against the PST, so that's never going to happen. Chinny will then have no choice but to keep raising his offer until he gets 75% approval from voters. I'd keep declining until he makes a sizeable offer if I was a creditor as he is not going to allow the club to go into liquidation and that is the remaining option looming large.

like Nugent's value? If he doesn't score goals at this level his value will fall significantly. Fingers crossed he has was it takes, not seen enough of him to make me certain.

Premier League Experience - Required or Overrated?

not a huge amount of Prem experience in the Swansea side and they seemed to do OK. -
