Decrap looked like an inspired signing at the time, but it turned out that he preferred to hoof it over his shoulder rather than be brave, control the ball and pass it deliberately to a Saint. Took the easy way out time after time, as Wotton did several years later.

I don't care how many clubs have wasted how much money, from what I have seen he's average at best and how he ever got 2 caps I will never know. Be that as it may, the step up is big, so he could still be better than what we have. We'll have to wait and see on that. Also whether we can find better is another question. One more thing, now is the time to take advantage of out of contract players, but only if they are top notch.

is that Ken Monkou in the (Everton thrashing) keeping everyone onside. Why was he rated so highly by fans?

Performance wise, Boro was perfect. Millwall away gave me the biggest smile though, Crazy. Leicester away deserves a special mention for me. Tremendous game, unbelievable second half onslaught. One of the best defeats I've ever seen us in if that makes sense.

not sure what the fuss is about him. He couldn't get in the Norwich side in their run in, looked poor for West Ham this season and when I saw him in the England U21s at SMS he was rubbish. We'll need better to survive next season. -
where is that picture of straw clutching. The draws gave us the two points we needed for promotion.

bloody hell I thought my side would be the worst but you may have trumped me I think. So glad you made Powell captain. Has anyone seen a professional footballer with less talent? Seriously he made Ali dia look half decent. I can't believe you've not gone for Folly. A defensive midfielder that never tackled, couldn't control a ball or pass. He was slow and extremely lightweight. He was so bad at Wolves one season I was tempted to run on the pitch and kick the pussy to see if he had the fight to kick me back. Trouble was he moved so little he hardly left the centre circle. Folly was and still is an utter ****e player. O'Halloran. hhahaha, how on earth could I forget to include him. Woeful. No, worse than that. Drivel. Pekhart and Robertson. Seeing them come in to save us I knew almost instantly that we were doomed. I want McGoldrick in your side, if only for being THE laziest 20 year old footballer I have ever seen ever, ever, till the end of my days, ever. Every day I thank the curb crawler for `scouting him, recommending the £1.25m transfer fee and effectively buying Sir Ricky Lambert. Pleat sir, you have become a Saints legend in my eyes. "Yeah David he's having a great season, lovely touch, finds space well, good footballer, sees the game, time on the ball, picks a pass. You're not scouting him are you David? Better not be. The fans love him here. It'll take millions to get him from us" Job done.

I'm a huge fan of Davis but at some point we'll need to look for another keeper. No point us signing a `number 2' other than to keep a lid on wages. If the funds are there lets get a Premiership keeper. If Davis does his stuff he keeps his shirt, if he doesn't then we make the change. Let's give ourself a choice. The Dutch keeper we looked at in January he may be on the cards.

one of the worst keepers I saw this season, can't kick a ball to save his life. If you went to the England U21 game at SMS you'd surely never want to see him in a Saints shirt ever. Looked terrible. We can do much much better IMO.
-
should and possibly would have signed him from Gillingham if we had had two pennies to rub together at the time. Very one footed, but luckily for him its his left. Had a mixed season for Wolves, but I just love wingers that want to get to the byeline as he does. I wonder if the England flirtations might mean his sights are set higher than us. Villa, Everton, Sunderland, Fulham, WBA and others would all be interested I would imagine. Can we compete with them this summer? Everton pay a bloody fortune in wages...

Morgan is first class and has been for years, its just taken a while for some to see it. Hopefully he will go under the radar in the same way for many years. New contract needed me thinks. I think the Taarabt comparison is a very good one. Both terrific talents in the Championship ( Taarabt was perhaps even more vital to QPR's promotion that Adam was to ours) but both lack that blistering pace that Sinclair (mentioned above) has. Not sure too many wide men set the Prem alight these days that don't have pace. That would be my only concern. But Lallana drifts inside so perhaps its not a problem at all. Can't wait to find out.

a promotion bonus and wage rise would have me dancing too.

Norwich signed five new players and a season long loan. Five were allowed to leave along with 6 going out on loan. Swansea signed eight new players, a season long loan and two half season loans. Seven were allowed to leave along with 5 going out on loans. QPR signed fourteen new players, three half season loans. Seven were allowed to leave and 7 going out on loan. -
Things you will miss - things you are not looking forward to...

not looking forward to being ripped off, but very much looking forward to that excitement and thrill of winning against bigger clubs than us -
give over, doubt there was a single post match conversation that didn't discuss who would and wouldn't be good enough in the Prem.

Gordon, Davies, Mutch, Zaha, Philips -
perhaps you are right, but 1982 seems like yesterday...
-
neither, we are desperate for some pace and they both just offer more of the same.
-
Gordon, Davies, Mutch, Zaha, Phillips never gonna happen, but gotta aim high.
-
jester hat wearing again?

let me guess, he and they are trying convince themselves that their two draws with us (that sent them down) stopped us winning the title, when in fact it actually took us up. Very, very bad day at the eastern end of the M27. Normal service has resumed. Saints in the top flight, Pompey in the lower leagues and the skates showing their true bitterness once more.
-
with you. Added to the atmosphere IMO.
