  1. Leeds will take every last ticket offered and more besides for that one. I'd of thought demand for home tickets will be high as well. Good times.
  2. outsung by Exeter. We've become complacent we're so decent at home against the lower to middling League 1 sides.
  3. nice one. Is it just me or is it almost impossible to find away ticket information on the Saints website other than the original news item when they were first released - I can't find that for Colchester game actually?
  4. never rated him, slow, not all that great in the air and ball watches. That said, he is a very decent sub, if far too expensive for this league. Overall a very poor signing. David McKracken to come in please.
  5. winning at Anfield that took us to 4th in the league is pretty hard to beat. But, and this might sound strange, the Derby play off second leg was an unbelievable game and one that will stick in my mind forever and actually with some fondness. The buzz when Viafara scored a minute after they had gone two ahead in the tie and then the same when he brought us level was the best feeling I've ever experienced at a match and the Rasiak last grasp equaliser had me jumping about 4feet off the ground. An amazing feeling. A tremendous buzz. Gutted we lost of course, and the rain soaked walk back to the car summed up how all Saints fan felt in the end, but what a game, what an experience. The play offs are something else. Worst, the 4-1 thumping and the "amarilo song nightmare" at **** park. Anyone that was there will hold that pain deep in their bones till the day they die, or the day we do the same to them. Lets hope that day comes.
  6. he's had a few quiet games recently (but still scored goals). I wonder if the service to him has got a little too long?
  7. you forgot to include the word `bottling'.
  8. you're telling me that Prutton and Idiakez are worse than Wotton? Poppy****. As for Fuller being worse than Pericard - total and utter madness.
  9. I'm with Pardew on this - in that he continues to overlook him. Holmes is lightweight, slow and has no trick. Exactly the facits you look for in a winger.
  10. Gobern is a centre midfielder from what I can see. He came on and did a great job there at Leeds. I'm tempted to say he should be picked ahead of Wotton, but I'm reminded of his ten minute nightmare at Bristol Rovers. I think Gobern has a decent future at CM.
  11. except when he got the wrong side on one occasion in the second half and we were left in serious trouble, not to mention giving away free kicks because he is far too small and ends up with his arms all over the attacker. That said I'd agree that he had a pretty decent game yesterday, but the problem with Perry is that he doesn't win enough headers and when he does they are never clean headers that clear our lines. They often just go up in the air and we are still under massive pressure. We may not concede immediately but it gives the opportunity for the oppostion to start another attack. Compare this to how Jardi and Trottman win headers and the ball goes miles. I'd add that unlike when Jardi and Trottman played together we no longer look safe at set peices. Yesterdays goal was down to Lampert being beaten in the air, but dominant centre backs like Jardi and Trottman tend to be everywhere and win everything, Perry just doesn't dominate and we are often stretched. The flip side of course is his experience and the way he nips in at times. He is as honest as the day is long and throws everything at the ball - as he did yesterday. I'm perfectly happy with him as cover, but as a starting centre back against the top six sides I don't think he's quite up to it. He got asway with it at Leeds. Beckford gave him the slip time after time and on another day with better finishing he could have had a hattrick and then I wonder how many would have lauded his performance. The Huddersfield game will be interesting. He got run ragged at their place and was so bad Pardew rightly subbed him. Lets see how he handles Rhodes et al then.
  12. Jardi, Lambert and Schneiderlin in equal measures
  13. -? Pulis Powell Lancashire O'Halloran Thomson Wotton Folly Gasmi Pericard Pekhard Subs Molyneux, Robertson, Mettombo, Smith,
  14. really, christ I wonder who I was watching then. About time I bought a programme at games so I can identify these players. They must have another fella then that can play a bit. Not sure what number he was, 9 I think. I hold my hands up then, I don't know if Jackson is good enough for us.
  15. even when fit I'm not impressed. AS mentioned previously Logan is the best right back I've seen at SMS since Kyle Naughton from Sheffield United turned out against us. Pace is severely lacking in our back four and even a fullback can help, not to mention his threat going forward. Full back need to be able to attack as well as defend these days and Logan showed that by pushing on you can keep the winger quiet (as he did Lallana).
  16. agree with you except for Gobern being cover for Lallana. Gobern is an centre midfielder from what i can see. I think he will turn out to be a decent player, that said I still think a top class central midfielder is needed as James and Wotton are not the answer. Stephen Dawson at Bury is the man.
  17. if you saw the Gillingham game you will have seen a striker completely stared on any supply whatsoever. In the end he dropped so deep Lambert could have marked in. Despite this you could still see he was a class act with pace, a touch and vision. Drop him in a side that opens teams up and creates plenty of chances and he looks like he'll score goals to me.
  18. maybe they won't let you through the turnstyle without a kid or two in tow.
  19. nice. It still surprises me to find people on here that don't see how much better he is compared to last season. In my opion its him, not Hammond that is running things in the middle. I'm pretty sure I said lkast season numerous times that he was only 19 and he needed a lot more time to find his feet. He's now found them in my book. I dare say his rise has been helped by the drop in league, but he is right up there with Jardi and Lambert as our most important player and time for a new 5 year deal me thinks.
  20. Agreed. Letd look at players on their way up, not down. Simeon Jackson is the talent that is going to get a move to the Championship sooner or later. That's the kind of player we need.
  21. actually he scored 20 goals for Blackpool in division 2 (the third tier not the Champoinship) in the 2001/2 season before joining us in December and scoring 1 goal in the next 18 Premiership games.
  22. length of existing contract will be a factor.
  23. had no fears about Hammond and Lambert at all, but the question is can we hold on to Schneiderlin and Lallana? The fact both have been in tremendous form and yet we have not heard a dicky bird about new contracts for either suggests neither is interested in signing one. In Lallana's case is it a case of only promotion will stop him leaving. He said he would see the season out, but after that? If Morgan continues to play as he has done then the Championship beckons.
  24. could not agree more. I'm still to be convinced how much money is saved by having fans seperated by sections as there has still been a Police presence at games and there appears to be just as many stewards working on a match day as there was before. Anyone able to confirm if `redundancies' were made in stewarding when the sections were closed?
  25. I thought Abdu was decnt agsint us, I wonder how he has done since then. I agree Taylor might be worth a look. Shame we didn't snap up his mate Ardley in the summer.
