I thought he looked decent on Saturday. He held the ball up well, one stuff in the air and lea the line pretty well on his own.

Simon King - Gillingham Neal Eardley - Oldham Chris Taylor - Oldham Steven Dawson - Bury Danny Livesey - Carlise Chris Shuker - Tranmere Tommy Docherty - Wycombe

having played for promotion chasing Wolves adn Brum in loans spells last season and I can assure you that he won't be droping down two divisions.

Always liked Rasiak, especially his ability to get away with a little push in the defenders back to win back post headers. I never could understand why we signed Stern John when we had almost the exact same player already here at the club. He looked good on Saturday IMO and certainly made the effort. Needs some pace around him.

not worried about his fitness. I'm sure Pardew will have them doing a bleep test this week so we'll know where we stand, but I'm more concerned about the lack of height in the side. A back four of Mills, Murty, Thomas and Perry is going to be a liability on set peices especialyl when they have Lallana, Gillett, James, Thomson and Saga to help them out.

I'm told by a Bournemouth ST holder that he did **** all when he was there. Young but should be in the youth team not the first team.
-
When I went to change seats (to sit near mates) I was told by the ticket office that the whole ground was sold out apart from the Northam. Strange as block 5 in itchen was half empty.

I get the feeling he saw what I saw today. A few decent players, a few not up to the task and a side that still looks a little shell shocked from last season. He's got a fair bit of work today to create a side capable if winning a lot if games. He made me feel confident that we'll address some of these problems rather than bull**** and hope for the best. The money is clearly there for him to spend

what the game showed me is that we desperately need a left and right midfielder, a box to box cental midfielder and some pace up front. I also worry about the size of the side, a team full of midgets. I suspect we need a centre back to win some headers but obviously Ajax didn't play the ball anywhere but on the deck. Davis - prevented a hammering Murty - short and slow. Comitted. Not impressive by any means. Thomas - steady half. Perry - quite a lot if desperate streches Molyneux - did OK until Rommadahl came on then quickly taken off. Wotton - far too deep and usual poor passing except for our goal which was a peach of a pass. Gillett - actually played as the attacking midfielder of the three. Totally ineffective in that position. James - some poor passing and never in the game. When moved to right back he had a mare, but with little protection in front to be fair to him. Mills - never really in the game at left midfield. Did well at left back though. Lallana - totally ineffective in the wide right role. Why on earth we plat Gillett in the hole when that role is perfect for Lallana I will never know. Patterson - why play him wide right.Madness. Did nothing but wrong position totally. Rasiak - did OK and looked up for it. Needed more support. McNish - lookeed lightweight but only got a minute or two. Saga - totally isolated. Why on earth we played him on his own is beyond me. Thomson - poor and I wonder if he is good enogh for league 1. Lightweight.

if you are happy for the item to go at any price start it on 99p with no reserve. The more people you can get interested in the product the better. You will find that some buyers get hooked and will bid more than they ever thought they would just to get the item. If you start the item on a high price then you will put off those that initially thought they were looking for a bargain. The photos of the itme need to be top class, epecially if the item is a high price item. No one wil bid on something they can nto see clearly. Even if the item is a low price make sure the photos are good. Give as much detail as possible. If there is anything wrong with the item say it. The last thing you want if a unhappy buyer that ****s up your rating. Honesty is the best policy and will actully give potential buyers more confidence in you. Answer all questions. If a seller has something to hide they won't respond to questions. Buyers are not stupid. Finally make sure you are around when the auction is completed. Buyers want to get an email from you saying thanks for buyer and I'll get this in the post tomorrow. Best of luck.

Cheers. I take it everyone is sat down over there? I currently have back row seats so I can stand up a fair bit if I choose.
-
you are right it was. Not sure about Diarra as he signed four days after Pardew got there so proabably a done deal before he got there.
-
At Charlton he signed: Souleymane Diawara £3700000 Ben Thatcher £ 500000 Madjid Bougherra £ 2500000 Luke Varney £ 2000000 Chris Iwelumo Free Patrick McCarthy £ 650000 Yassin Moutaouakil £ 400000 Jose Semedo Free Martin Christensen £ 250000 Chris Powell Free Svetoslav Todorov Free Nicky Weaver Free Dean Sinclair £ 125000 Izale McLeod £ 1100000 Zheng Zhi £2000000 he offloaded Perry to WBA by the way. I hope he goes back for Jose Semedo. I thought he looked a great defensive midfielder. Midn you we perhaps need players in other positions more.

feels like a very similar sort of appointment as Pearson. Solid former defender that won't take any **** and has firm enough shoulders to cope with managing a club of our size. I didn't think KK or WGS were ever realistic so if you look at possible candidates for a third tier club Pardew looks a very decent option. I just wonder if his appointment will be inspirational enough to bring fans back. Perhaps some very decent early signings and a couple of wins early doors will do the trick.

that's a good shout. Forrest are stockpiling forwards but the manager I think has been quoted as saying he wants 7 attackers. if he was going to join us he would have come as part of the McGoldrick deal. Mind you we didn't have the cash then did we!

Having been moved from my Itchen 1 seat last summer I took a same price seat in Block 5. This is a centre position with a centre position price for 09/10 so I decided to move into block 4 and get the reduced ST price. Unfortunatley because I sit with two mates we need three in a row and there are none available in Block 4. Block 4 is obviously very popular and I pointed this out when asking about opening blocks 1-3, but the response I got was that that 1-3 would be the very last blocks they open, with Itchen 13-15 the first of the three corners to be opened should they be needed. Higher policing costs are the reason. Not sure what to do now. I either return to the Northam or get a seat in the Kingland wing anyone tell me the block number and what it is like over there?

how about Bobo Balde or Paul Hartley
-
I'd be surprised if John was offered a contract unless the other two left.
-
watch how fast he is when a big fat contract is waved under hs nose.
-
bumped into him on holiday a few years ago now. Getting proper bevvied up and sweating furiously on a late night dance floor forever became known as doing a Hartson. All the best to him and what was then a young family.
-
we certainly need pace, but don't underestimate Patterson. In every game he has played he has shown strength, touch and desire. He certainly didn't look out of his depth in the CCC and a division lower is going to help him shine. We need four strikers and I'm happy for him to be one of those.
-
to add to your collection?
-
he stood out a mile at centre midfield in the youth team, but if he is going to play there this season it will be like starting again as he has been learning the right back role for 12 months.
-
maybe the replacement is lined up but they wanted to put a respectable time between the sacking and employing of managers.
