  1. my mistake. That's interesting then. I guess we want him to score a few goals then to attract a buyer or another loanee. I bet my bottom dollar that he returns here in the summer and we have to pay him right until he moves on the last day of August.
  2. absolute dissaster if you ask me. With him at the helm they were going down fast. Now they have a chance to turn thngs around. As for him coming to us, there is absolutely no chance whatsoever. Even Lowe is not stupid enough to employ a manager who prefers the ****kicker approach when the squad is full of `players' (Wotton apart).
  3. He offers real quality so must come back into the side when fully fit, however I don't think there is a need to play him in the hole as he can play anywhere.
  4. he is out of contract in the summer.
  5. Fuller was underated by us. I always liked him and felt the fans we stupid to slate him. He is one of those players that can make something out of nothing and isn't reliant on chances being put on a plate.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cardiff try to loan BWP this week as they have lost their whole strikeforce to injury. If his wages are as high as was suggested in the papers then we'll probably allow him to go without a fight.
  7. I have to say you don't see too many from the local asian community at games at SMS. Perhaps this is an avenue that should be explored again?
  8. I'm sure the win bonus will more than cover it. I know throiwing shirts into the crowd is a cliche, but after the **** we've had to put up with over the last couple of years anyone that made it up to preston deserved a pat on the back.

    Rudi Skacel

£15k a week is more than a few bob its £750,000 a year. Before you tell that that amount only equates to 1600 on the gate let me point out that he played on Tuesday and I didn't see an extra 1600 turning up to see him.
  10. after Tuesday's game he talked about how many chances we had created, but I only remember a few half chances in the first half, a couple of blocked shots and a goal and a blast wide from a tight angle from McGoldrick. I think he is kidding himself if he thinks we are opening teams up and only poor finishing is preventing us gettign a hat full.
  11. if only we had money. He is top class IMO and could do a job for someone like WBA.
  12. Not doubting you, but why on earth is this information not on the Saints website? Why would the club think the fans would not want to know about this?
  13. Another problem with such a transient squad is that the fans struggle to build any sort of relationship with the players. We have next to no songs for any of players, mostly because none have been here longer than five minutes and the only ones to ever stay are the ones nobody else wants (ie they are ****) so hardly likely to become fans favourites. Mind you if it means getting players of the quality of Cork, even for just three months, then I'm all for it.

    Preston

There is a decent pub a short walk away from the ground. I think its called The Sumners. You can park there too. You could also get there early and check out the football Museum which is right next to the ground.

    Rudi Skacel

he certainly has. Boy did he look like he couldn't give a ****. He clearly hates playing at left back. Either play him left wing or get Mills back.

    couldn't lace his boots.

    Basaya

I get the feeling that by the time we realised he might be needed the next season he had made his mind up to leave and therefore any efforts to sign him were too late. At around the crucial time for negotiations all eyes were on relegation and Lowe coming back. He may well have been homesick but it would just be our style to have ****ed it up.
  18. how did Bournemouth fair with him at the back? I know they were relegated but they went on a great run last season - was he playing during that run? Was Bennett not available?
  19. glad these youngsters are not being stolen just before they turn pro as Walcott was, but perhaps that's because they are not anywhere near as good? Bets of luck to the guy. Shoud help bring the average age of squad down by a day or two.
  20. but Southampton doesn't have a Kingston Communications of its own to float on the stock exchange.
  21. I've slated James but he played pretty well on Tuesday. Miond you he didn't have a pcey winger making him look silly. Cork had a great game at CB but he has looked equally at home at right back. Cork actually was bullied by Morrison when the keeper punted it forward, we could do with a CB that bullies attackers. I wonder if this fella Pearce will do that. Why we didn't sort this out as soon as Lancashire suspended I will never know.
  22. avoid administration and we have a modicum of control over the sale of Surman and Lallana. Go into administration and watch those two assets sold immediately at rock bottom prices.
  23. I've been playing and watching the game for 25 years, but there are people on here that think I know jack about the game. How long does it take for a novice to pick up the subtle nuances of the game and do you need to have played to see the game in a certain way? Also do players that read the game well haev a better understanding of the game full stop?

    Lallana

not a lot of overpaid players left to lose, but any that are still hanging around and not giving value for money must go before Lallana is sold otherwise the income from his sale will just go on paying their wages.
  25. he certainly did work hard. Why, by his own admittance has he not worked as hard previously though? Was he previously advised to conserve energy perhaps by Stern lazy John?
