No, but it's fucking moronic to describe a retro kit that many fans liked and loads of iconic players for us wore as "...ditching any semblance of our traditions".

Well, it's the Denmark kit, so on those terms I quite like it.

Except he got a big pay rise at Everton. Then went on to manage one of the world's biggest football clubs in Barcelona and his own National team. I very much doubt he would want to change that.

Was also a deadline day transfer. Imagine the pissing and moaning if we'd sold Mane with no replacement on August 31st that summer.

It wasn't "very low at the time" so there's that. It was Liverpool's record outlay at the time so not very low on any measure.

Romeo Lavia - Official: Signs for Not Liverpool
CB Fry replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Exactly. I love that on this forum there's still this belief that if we flog Lavia this summer we get all the money and City get nothing because the buy back isn't until next summer hahahahaha fuck youuuuu City -
Fair enough, thanks - like others have said, there's nothing to say that guy was our first choice or anything. No sleep lost over this guy.

Ings, Vestergaard were not "buy develop and sell" players for a start. We spent a year trying to get Ings to stay, it became obvious he never was going to. You realise that players and agents understand the value of one-year-left as well? You realise they sometimes will aim to get to that? The idea that two years ago we should have given Vestergaard a 3 or 4 year extension sounds fucking mad to me, especially as we pretty much got our money back when we sold him. If you mean we should have sold him a year earlier - well, to who and for how much? Clyne I can't remember, but if you're going back that far to make your point suggests it's not the endemic problem you are making it out to be. Salisu probably should have flogged him January a year ago, but then that would have been a meltdown on here as well. Again, as with Ings, players and agents know what they are doing. I don't believe that the club should make sure every player in the club should all have two years left at all times because that would cost us an absolute fortune, ties the hands of any future managers and puts us in a very weak position and helpless to agents for pay rise pay rise pay rises for any old player every summer. Should we have lobbed £50k a week for four years at Ballard a year ago? Would that have aided his development?

"The government locked down to be popular with the electorate even though they all knew it was completely unnecessary" is a fucking stretch, lads.

Exactly that. Either way I don't remember reading anything linking Maresca with our vacancy anyway. Can anyone remember where this was actually said?

I know what happened there, and I'm not his mate. What happened there is he did not ever get a job at either of the Milan clubs. Ever.

Not really hindsight when absolutely no one would have said "they should have declared there" if Root was out next ball.

I think everyone can throw a dart at a dartboard.

Getting to a Wembley cup final was a significant boost to the club's coffers so well done to the manager that got us there.
-
His account is very Fortuna Sittard heavy.

Never felt that Tella would stay, it's an easy signing for Burnley to make and why on earth would Tella come back after such a phenomenal season in the Championship just to try and do it again with a team full of strangers and new manager he doesn't know? We're going to get far more money than we would have done if we'd flogged him a year ago. It's not the worst outcome.

If we don't win the Champions League playing attractive free flowing football you can stick it up your ass
