  1. Scratch that: Oxford vs Newcastle it is.
  2. Replay likely to be on TV you'd think.
  3. Probably because he had a full season to settle in and build his fitness. You know, after we signed him in the summer of 2018.
  4. Oooh you've corrected me on the point I already knew you were making. Oh how we all celebrated the breathtaking brand new player Danny Ings that we signed in the summer of 2019. Jesus wept.
  5. Only if you are pointless pri ck counting the Ings fee which we'd committed to twelve months previously. And the point was about spending £30m plus on single players as others have done. Strange you're not pedantic enough to gauge what the point in hand actually is.
  6. I bet he doesn't.
  7. But all those clubs have wasted millions on rubbish players as well.
  8. Chorley then spent the remaining time talking absolute sh ite about if only we turned St Mary's into a social club and put local bands on that would fund our promotion back to the Premier League. Absolute super-fans-know-best horsesh it. Except of course Chorley was barely a fan, it was all some ego trip. The fact that Radio Five had him on speed dial as our official voice of the fans for some time was highly depressing.
  9. In fairness that didn't last long. I remember it was LeGod Second Coming (there's another name for you, nostalgia fans) who led a spirited defence on the evening it was unveiled, and a few others did the "well some people simply don't understand interpretive artwork" routine but by the following morning all that was gone and from then it was just LOLs all the way. Except for the total waste of fans money because the idiot committee gave all the money to someone who had never done a public statue commission in his life but that didn't matter because he was a passionate Saints fan. Moronic. Still, the detail on the shoes was amazing.
  10. The world's gone mad.
  11. Didn't expect to come in to that Vestergaard story. Does he need a lift up there?
  12. Absolutely, comprehensively, unquestionably not getting relegated. Astonishing stuff when we look back to the autumn. Vestergaard very lucky. If wed gone one down as we should have, it could been a different game.
  13. Hodgson is no mug. Vestergaard, unfortunately, is. Those two factors mean that Palace will score second half. We need at least one more. Tough call for Ralph, as taking Vestergaard off for Yoshi means only one attacking sub in the bank. I think he'll stick with him and we hope.
  14. So just to be clear, "no one knows what happened" and "your guess is as good as mine" but previously you have said you believe the club has never fed information to the press, never used their press contacts to manage the message in times of pressure and have never briefed aspirations as firm intent to their press contacts. And you believe that all of the stories are just newspapers making it up and all the false hopes are the newspapers fault and the club are a helpless, innocent party. If "no one knows what happened", how are you so sure of this?
  15. With Vestergaard in the team we only need to score four to guarantee a point.
  16. Amazon Prime is over for this season. They only got the December mid-week and Boxing Day games, that's your lot.
  17. Yeah, like definitely.
  18. Those fickle Watford fans must be full of regret that the club did not show loyalty to Quique Sanchez Flores.
  19. So the plan should be to only sign good players who are guaranteed to improve the team? Clear.
  20. Same team. Can't argue with that.
  21. Rod Wallace did win the league with Leeds. Strange he never got any international recognition but he had a pretty decent career.
  22. We're due a win. 2-1.
  23. If your minimum requirement is a football manager saying they formally and unequivocally promise to do something then god help us all. Absolutely mental beyond belief.
  24. Communication departments of big corporations up and down the land would be high fiving themselves reading this. The only people who ever get anything wrong are the newspapers. Businesses don't ever make promises they can't deliver, it's just those evil journalists, you know, making it all up. Absolute mug.
