  1. Imagine my astonishment when other teams lower than us in the table also didn't win.
  2. Well, at least I've got the relegation dinlows to look forward too. #dragged #back #in
  3. Swansea got six points in their last ten games so even if we did that we're safe.
  4. Jesus wept. Whatever one thinks of that man he is not "another Tory".
  5. He has signed for Montreal Impact. Which I believe is some kind of bodyslam in Mixed Martial Arts.
  6. News just in that Victor Wanyama has signed for, er, Montreal Impact. Which I believe is some kind of deodorant.
  7. In fairness there were half and half scarves outside the London stadium on Saturday so I don't think you can lay that at Pompey's door. They're everywhere.
  8. If you think a team on forty points with four games left would be under threat of relegation then there really is no hope whatsoever. And your wonderful scenario takes the safety tally up to, er, 49 points. There's only so many idiots I can deal with on one thread.
  9. We're getting relegated and we deserve it. #pigsh it
  10. You're not confused, just thick as sh it. After 28 games we have 34 points. So, with ten games to go, we are going to win (for example) two of them. If we only win one then we'll draw enough. It's going to happen. Three points could be enough, four or five certainly. Six, definitely. That's all people are saying. That's why we're safe. Utterly, utterly basic. The only people I don't understand who can't see past the belief that if we've lost our most recent game that means we will then lose every single subsequent game until the end of time. You've started a moronic thread saying we were going down and that's what we deserve. It was garbage then, it still is, but instead of letting it die quietly you still keep trying to prove yourself correct. You salivating over the unstoppable survival prospects of the likes of Bournemouth and Watford (27 points) but not Southampton (34 points) is my personal highlight of your little breakdown. What Ralph says or what pundits say is also irrelevant. That's just another aspect of human life that you can't seem to understand. If anything, it's awfully cute. You don't think we are safe, you think we're going down, and that's fine. I know you keep wavering but you can't let things go so let's call you the relegation boy. I haven't changed my opinion since January. We're safe. Let's see who is right at the end of the season.
  11. 2 Corinthians 7:3, am I right?
  12. ....and yet Klopp still hasn't said it. Why do you think that is?
  13. Jesus wept. You realise Klopp isn't giving quotes about how great it is that they've won the league yet?
  14. I said we were safe when ticked over into 31 points in January and haven't changed my mind since. Teams that hit 31 points in January aren't going down. You said Brighton were safe yesterday and that's fine if you believe that. You be you.
  15. I've taken my cue from you saying Brighton are already safe before they kicked off yesterday. Very relieved as a result.
  16. So in this scenario that is seven consecutive defeats from now (actually including yesterday, eight consecutive defeats) and we go into the final three games "needing to beat" Bournemouth and Brighton, meaning we also will need to beat Sheffield United (otherwise we wouldn't also "need" to beat the other two). So eight consecutive defeats and then the points total to stay up this season is now 43 points if we, as you say "need to win" the last three matches. Crystal clear, its going to be a hell of an end to the season if Brighton and Bournemouth and Villa etc are going to end up on at least 43 points each.
  17. There's people on this thread that still don't realise that teams can accrue points from drawn matches so I don't hold up much hope. If we don't win every single match from now on we're relegated relegated relegated. Welcome to Saintsweb.
  18. Pleased to say was lucky enough to be there yesterday and agree with all of this. A lot of the game was reminiscent of the bad old days of the early season. We looked vulnerable to the simple ball over the top and to any pace or power. We were out muscled all day. JWP playing out of position is hurting us. I thought Armstrong did well enough mainly because he played with a pace and energy in significant contrast to others - Boufal in particular was dreadful. The Vestergaard sub was definitely an attempt to change shape but ineffective - as you say we missed Redmond and/or Djenepo, and Ings was off the pace. So ultimately the system change at that stage was never going to be enough. We move on, we will get the win/points needed to stay up but not sure it is going to be a barnstorming end to the season, more a stuttering one.
  19. Why do you have so much belief that a team in 18th with 27 points is going to get the wins and points required but the team in 13th starting seven points ahead aren't going to? Why would you rather be 18th than 13th? It's a bit, y'know, fu cking mental ain't it?
  20. Just to check, if it was us in 18th place on 27 points you'd be on this forum absolutely adamant that we'd be staying up, yes? Because you have a very impressive unshakeable belief in the imminent and breathtaking turnaround in form of the teams on 27 points that surely it means you'd prefer that to be our situation too?
  21. We are safe. We will not get relegated. Absolutely delighted to see SKD going into absolute meltdown yet again.
  22. 100/100. Exceptional stuff.
  23. Norwich have won. We're getting dragged back into it, dragged back into it I tell you.
  24. Not really comparable as elite level Women's Athletics events take place in the the same arenas, the same time with similar pressures and exposure. Women's football is nowhere near men's but the athletic disciplines are much closer and have been for some time. The men are still the bigger stars but not by such a wide margin. Gunnell and Denise and Jessica Ennis became household names after success at the highest level, something a woman footballer is a long way from achieving.
  25. Apparently if you take away all the goals we've scored we'd be bottom of the league with zero wins all season. Really makes you think.
