  1. He's turned it round and clearly the changes have been effective. Fantastic performance and result today and since December. We were, however, utterly dreadful at the start of the season. Let's hope we can get through the season without that form and those behaviours returning.
  2. Just googled thelondoneconomic.com. Not a f ucking sausage. Edit: Take it all back, worked second time. Looks like a load of old sh it anyway.
  3. Barry Gardiner has pulled out [emoji174][emoji174][emoji174][emoji174][emoji26][emoji26][emoji26][emoji26][emoji26][emoji26][emoji26] whither now, glorious revolution?
  4. The good news is there is a seventh contender for the leadership. Barry Gardiner.
  5. Oh, absolutely. If he wins then he will be portrayed as "the establishment" because he is left leaning and a lawyer and interested in appalling things like human rights. Not anti-establishment like that nice Boris Johnson. But whoever wins will have some cross to bear, be it being fake working class or real working class and northern therefore thick.
  6. Cameron, May, Blair and Johnson didn't need to convince anyone that they were "working class made good" so not sure why it is suddenly a priority for any other future Prime Minister.
  7. If I was the PR manager of Southampton Football Club I'd be announcing that my d1ck is bigger than every other d1ck in the United Kingdom, with a length and girth just shy of a sleeping bag rolled up lengthways. And I could say that safe in the knowledge that there are people on this forum who cannot countenance the notion that the club would ever tell a lie or ever break a promise, so at least some would believe it for the rest of their lives.
  8. I think you need to separate the fact that the club have definitely followed this strategy from the fact that it isn't a particularly useful strategy. Hypo/me/Turkish aren't defending it, we're just saying it happens. It seems bizarre the people here who just can't understand processes to me that are as normal practice in most big businesses. And the reason the club still do it is because it works. Egg during this exchange has said he believes the club don't leak rumours, it's all journalists and people on twitter making it up and then later said that he believes the players they tried to sign all fell through and therefore not the clubs fault, they tried. SFC PR team: mission accomplished. Ultimately we'd all like the club to stop pi ssing about an assemble a better team as we did through our rise through the leagues and under Koeman.
  9. I don't think I've got much to gain from debating with someone who believes Southampton Football Club have never made a promise they haven't delivered on and never broken any promises. You're sweet.
  10. No you've got it all wrong. Evil journalists making up evil lies to sell evil copies of their evil newspapers while the helpless club looks on holding on to their blameless innocent sword of truth. I feel so sorry for them.
  11. If you've never over-promised to get a job, or a sh ag, or to impress your friends or the bank manager then I can't really help you sunshine. You're a political manifesto writer's dream.
  12. Bizarre you even need to ask the question about how leaking "ambitious" transfer targets early in January is beneficial to the club. Pretty obvious why it benefits the club.
  13. Sqwarkbox sweetheart and Union subs petty cash tin fiend Ian Lavery has abandoned his candidacy and thrown in behind Long Bailey. Looks like he couldn't secure the backing of the MPs required, most likely because I believe he has a track record of, er, stealing money from his union and buying a house with it. But on the plus side he always goes to the Durham Miners Gala, like, every single year, which is jolly important to the wider electorate. Anyway he's out of the running so there will be only one continuity Corbyn candidate for that constituency to get excited by.
  14. Obviously this is all anyone is going to want to talk about from now until April, so let's keep all the discussion in one place. Jess? Kier? Rebecca? That other one? Personally I rather liked Starmer's launch video yesterday, so let's start with that. ........... I believe another future is possible – but we have to fight for it. That’s why I’m standing to be leader of the Labour Party. Join me and together we can – and we will – win: https://t.co/7LQiNItoDU https://t.co/hZQaDBmx3M
  15. Red Bull are only interested in us because of Jackson's Farm.

    Che Adams

Turns out that because people five years ago said we were terrible against Sheffield United in a league cup game then that means Che Adams is actually as good as Sadio Mane after all or something.

    Che Adams

You do realise we were absolute dogsh it in that game right?
  18. Reads like clickbait - doesn't take long to find a "he might be signing for us" from an Everton perspective, too. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-transfer-blog-carlisle-price-17511606 In all honesty I can't say he looks like a priority for us being that he has only ever played a handful of matches in his entire career. I'm sure he's great on MLG's little computer games but I'd like a transfer window with less potential and more experience this time.
  19. How did "easily the most skilful player in the Premier League" get on against a Championship defence?
  20. Why? He's been playing for them for the last half-season.
  21. Good job there have been absolutely no other events, significant actions or major decisions taken in the middle east in the subsequent forty years. All of it, everything, is Jimmy Carter's fault.
  22. Ah, the old 15 points between 17th and 18th scenario. It's almost a cliche how often that happens.
  23. All need game time and Adams and Obafemi will fancy a goal against HTFC. We should have enough to get the job done.
  24. Says who? Either way, we don't need to win it for the FA Cup to be a positive force - another semi would be another trip to Wembley, which would be great. I've got no problem with a little squad rotation on Saturday - if nothing else we desperately need a goal from Adams - but we should be trying to progress in the competition, especially off the back of the points we already have in the league now.
  25. None of this matters as we are not going to sign him in this window.
