Let's hope he's a wonder boy because feels like a massive risk to put a 19 year old in centre mid for a game we need to win.
-
Basically we need to not win today to stop this child getting the permanent job.
-
Rodgers 100% immediately when can you start. I'd hope he's in the stands today.
-
It doesn't happen much. And I don't think it is going to happen Serie A to the Championship. If he was a Saints legend then maybe but he hasn't got a huge reason to come to us right now. Be great if he did.
-
Worked with Spors and Tonda at Gerona, that's all. Sacked too recently for it to be a viable option. It is not going to happen but nice distraction.
-
The biggest risk with Gary O'Neil is that while he has done an OK job in the Premier League he has never delivered a promotion or even managed in the Championship. Carrick is much more familiar with this league. Can see positives/negatives for either. I still have a crazy dream that Spors and Dragan's money can get Viera back on the horse immediately and he loves working with Tonda and off we go.

Winning nearly a third of your games in the Premier League is far far more impressive than anything Carrick has ever done.
-
I think it is a reaction to the risk that we might get an ex Portsmouth player. Carrick looks ok but if he was an Portsmouth player I doubt we'd be seeing the clamour. His last two seasons 8th and 10th in the Championship but he's being made out to be some miracle manager who we're not going for because we could never afford his gigantic megastar salary.

For me, the purpose of watching The Traitors is to watch people being breathtakingly and completely wrong about everything but with confident authority. Historian David was a gold standard example of that very thing.

Not sure that's the slam dunk question you think it is. Wolves fans won't be dancing in the streets at the prospect of Michael Carrick or Gerrard or the other contenders we are looking at either.
-
You must have been a different St Mary's Stadium that i was in. Because I heard plenty of "we're staying up with Harry and Jim" being sung early on. He's a cunt because he relegated us, failed to take us back up and then fucked off back to Portsmouth. If he'd kept us up he'd have been a hero. They entire time he was managing Wolves and Bournemouth I never thought about GON as a Pompey player. And I definitely dont care now. If anything he will screw his own prospects of managing them anytime in the future. Not my first choice no way but not sure it is a terrible choice.

Lampard has managed in the Premier League. Gerrard has managed in the Premier League and in Europe. Carrick couldn't hold down the Middlesbrough job.
-
Premier League experienced manager vs someone who has never managed outside the Championship? Yeah I don't think those salaries are that different. Honestly you people are mental sometimes
-
Not sure what Carrick has actually achieved that is so much better than O Neil? Carrick steadily worse season by season at Boro. 10th last time out which is Russell Martin level mediocrity. 14th in Premier League is better than anything Carrick has ever achieved.

😂 Quite. If I was SR dishing out directives I'd be "directing" the manager to take the number 10 and the winger we spent £25m in the last window on and select them in the first eleven in the positions we bought them for. If they can't even conspire to make that happen then I doubt they can make any of that other bollocks happen either.

I think it's highly likely that his presence on the pitch influenced our chaotic last 15 minutes. We know he's terrible so it is certain his team mates do. They knew he wasn't going to offer any effective outlet, strength to hold the ball up or anything. So the team played panic football instead and Downs just trundled over to be part of the panic.
-
Now we need to stick with him for three years because Alex Ferguson
-
Er, nope. We were appalling and saved by a wonder goal just like Will Still got maybe 6 more games than he deserved off the back of Ross Stewart's wonder goal vs Sheffield United.
-
It's not spirit to be backs against the wall vs a terrible QPR team. It's not spirit to have appalling game management. We were fucking terrible

The two wins we've had since the opening day were thanks to wonder goals.
-
Never in doubt
-
They are definitely definitely definitely going to score.
-
Actually picking out Downs would probably have been worse
-
The most likely result from here is a 3-2 defeat.
