Arsenal win. If they finish above Spurs it will be brilliant.
-
Better GD than Liverpool and WHU. If WHU don't win midweek then they're out of it, because we'll beat Palace. Come on Watford.

I wish we were Stoke.

Quite right Jose.

Barcelona have the advantage of stopping their young players going off to bigger clubs by virtue of them being Barcelona. -

Two different scenarios really. Wanyama in his last year so we will sell and his contract status mean he's a relative bargain as we'll only get back about what we paid. He'll probably go to Spurs as a decent addition to the squad. Mane is different in that I am yet to be convinced that one of the big six would really cough up thirty odd million for someone who has had a pretty patchy season for a potential elite player. I'm just not sure he's worth what we would be demanding for him. -

For the love of god. Wanyama is almost certainly gone, and his going is completely unrelated to whether Virgil does or doesn't sign an extension. 8th, 7th then 8/7th in three consecutive seasons and your assessment is the club is being run by conmen trying to steal season ticket money on false pretences. Brilliant. -
2011-15 look like Saints kits. Fair enough, forget the makes us look different to other teams thing, let's just say white socks just make Saints look like Saints in my eyes based on 35 odd years of near unbroken white sockage pre and during my lifetime.

If there's a leadership challenge, then the parliamentary party will work very hard to ensure no more far-left bunker loons will be on the ballot-paper. Corbyn had to beg, borrow and steal to get on the ballot. McDonnell is roundly despised by the PLP and will get nowhere near it. I doubt Watson has any interest at all in being leader. The Labour leader needs to have the confidence of his core team - the shadow cabinet and the MPs. Just being the winner a "who's yer favourite left-winger" popularity contest with the party membership does not an effective leader make.

We used white socks nearly non stop for 35 years so I'd say that was "us" as a huge number of "us" have lived through little else - white socks started five years before I was born and still going as I passed thirty. Personally I'd say the "quite recent" thing is to not use white socks in the last five/six years, which I think is a shame. Anyway, you'll notice in the first line of my original post that I qualified my view on traditional anyway.
-
Always see white socks as traditional, in a recent history kind of way - from 70s to late 90s across the iconic and not-so-iconic Admiral, Patrick and Hummel kits we had the white socks in almost all iterations - making us distinct from the Sheffield Uniteds and Stokes etc. Always depressing to see us in red socks or black socks which those other clubs use more than us. Red and white hoop socks probably second choice for me. Better than red or black anyway. Don't want to get all The9 about it but socks get a bit under-rated as the distinctive part of some classic team kits - It's the socks that make the kits of Pompey, Chelsea and Man U for example actually stand out.

Er - existing player negotiates pay-rise? Not really, no. -

Has Les Reed ever persuaded anyone to stay? -
This will be the same Sadiq Khan who is classed as "hostile" on that infamous Labour list of who in the party supports the leadership or not. Khan kept Corbyn a million miles away from him during the campaign. London is a Labour city long before Corbyn's leadership and will be once he's shuffled off (ie about September this year). Lastly Goldsmith ran a dreadful campaign and was a terrible candidate.

That sounds like the output of a meeting at the FA where they all agree "let's base the England kit on the St George cross!".

I would think Zlatan will be deciding between signing for us or one of our "natural rivals" Bournemouth and West Brom.

Gordon Brown and Ed Milliband are not and were not "Blairites". Ed especially was voted in on a trade union, old left mandate but is now written off as a "Blairite" by rabid Corbynistas. There's no evidence whatsoever that Corbyn and the Islington set give any "hoot" at all for the electorate, holed up in their 1981 theme-pub bunker rabbiting pointless nothings about CND and Israel and the Falklands. And anyway you kinda want the electorate to "give a hoot" about you, not the other way round. That's, like, the point of political parties and that's how you win power and make changes. You might want Labour to be an insular echo-chamber pressure group but the electorate have and will reject them and this current rabble won't ever get close to power or enacting change.
-
I must have missed Tony Blair standing at the last election. You seem to be 11 years out of date. Liz Kendall and a new, young Labour team would have delivered a huge swing to Labour yesterday, not the meagre gruel of nothing that idiot Corbyn and cronies are dishing up as some great triumph.
-
There's a whole world out there I clearly know nothing about.
-
Annoyingly nowhere near grim enough. Already being spun by rabid Corbynistas as the greatest electoral victory since President Kennedy. Big fan of Jo Cox, Labour MP taking Jeremy apart on BBC this morning. Also, quite fit.

Boring old Leicester City First season back - 14th Second season up - Champions Southampton Football Club - run by the single most driven, determined and focused football chairman the world has ever seen, and powered by the dreams and ambitions of a worshipping fanbase: First season back - 14th Second season - Ninth at point of sniveling defeated walk-out, club then rallies to finish 8th 14th to 9th/8th pretty pathetic now we know what we know now. We're well shot of him.
