If it genuinely isn't working I would expect the club to be more ruthless, more quickly than some might think. I would think Puel has got some time to make this work but if it clearly isn't working by the next international break then the club will act. Will be a massive admission of failure on Les's part and he will have some explaining to do on why he didn't recommend a more proven manager with experience of working in more than one league - hello AVB and especially Garcia. But there's still time for Peulis to win us all over.

Perfectly feasible that he is pssed off for entirely the opposite reason. The club have done a brilliant job in retaining our critical back line with ambitious, lengthy lucrative fat contracts for all of them, but Jose got his extension all of six months previously and maybe feels like he miss timed his commitment. So he's probably upset that he feels a little bit left behind in the avalanche of generous contract extensions for the backbone of the team. Looks like we have probably sorted it now.

And the myths begin. We didn't force anyone to leave, unless saying "here's a nice new contract and pay rise" is what passes as forcing someone to leave these days.

Peulis has got at least five more games then we can truly judge. We've started poorly in many seasons before.
