  1. Not sure we signed all of them on exactly the same day.
  2. Can't see Vlaar or another CB to be honest, unless we bring in a kid with potential as stronger cover. Fonte/Gardos is our partnership. A Winger I can see, and maybe some young RB cover - can see Byram still happening.
  3. Using that logic we'll never know if I could cut it the Premier League. Getting a game at that level is kinda part of the "cutting it" bit.
  4. Well, in fairness, just the same story rehashed in multiple places.
  5. Can't see either WHU or Newcastle going for him. He will be seen by both sets of fans as beneath them. So he's only going to land up at WBA, Burnley, Leicester etc. Or taking Cardiff/Fulham back up
  6. Useless on crosses, though.

Everton would never have signed Shane Long.

Bet you he never plays for England.
  9. Pelle and Gardos in your fantasy Saints squad? Your dreams lack ambition.
  10. Monkou/Groves.

Disappointed you haven't quite got the nuances of the sh it I post. Shame on you Tim.

Can we just all agree we will wait and see how he does and then lock the thread, please.
  13. What on earth are you on about?
  14. No one said it did matter, did they? It was a humourous comment referring back to our outstanding global scouting network managing to unearth someone who's been on Match of The Day every week for the last four seasons.
  15. No it doesn't, that's just a unnessessary cheap shot from SOG.
  16. You're comparing us taking Alan Shearer on as an apprentice with a £12m signing of a 27 year old established striker. Yeah, that works.

Absolutely. But would show a complete balls up by SFC if it did happen.

Looking forward to seeing the "name someone better" gang explain that one away.
  19. Everton would never have sold Jack Cork.
  20. You'll have a little nickname for him by 3pm on Sunday.
  21. His head has been at Soushampton for a while.
  22. Well done for cutting off the bit about his contract.
  23. Jack Cork is barely a young English talent now - note he is being linked with Crystal Palace, not Manchester City. I like him and don't want him to go but he has established his level which is mid/low Premier League. Plus he only has a year left, which means fee would be low. I wonder if the Cork for England calls continue on here if he becomes a Palace player.
  24. Not sure why people think that is strange. The four year bit is not really a commitment to play for us for four years, it's financial security for player (career threatening injury, long term salary guarantee) and club (fee inflation). Suarez, Ronaldo and I think Beckham all signed extentions to already long contracts that were blatantly "one more year" gentleman's agreements before being allowed to go, so I have no doubt the practice is very common. After everything that has happened it's amazing anyone still looks at a footballer's contract and thinks "well, that's them playing for us in 2017 for sure".
