  1. The Wiganisation of Everton is well and truly underway. 13 goals conceded already.
  2. A rather satisfying weekend all in all, then.

Getting the ball doesn't then mean you can do whatever follow through you like without fear of punishment.
  4. What's your belated response to this question, Noodles?
  5. I think it's too early for them to feel f****ed over yet - in fairness it is a bunch of people promising stuff they now need to unpick and work through. More panic induced incompetence rather than sinister. Could be a very interesting 18 months to the election now, and Milliband of all the leaders is in serious trouble.
  6. Well, not really. I think basic, comfortable apathy-cum-contentment has seen off the streets-paved-with-social-democracy wonderland that Salmond and co tried to promise. Not much more sinister than that. That sentiment is a killer and a centre right party's most effective weapon. Salmond described the No voters as "deferred Yeses" but i would have described Salmond if Yes had won as a deferred Nick Clegg - all exciting TV debate hope and excitement turned to the drudgery of sh it reality and delusion over time. Scotland was not about to become the Sweden in kilts that those sixteen year olds thought. And now, at least for another 20 years or so, Scotland can continue to have someone to blame.
  7. Salmond is deluded - the only late surge was for the Yes side, just by not enough. The No vote wasn't turned at the last minute, as all the polls except one or two late-on outliers had No as winning for the entirety of the campaign.
  8. In fairness, with anything good the club has achieved being written off as luck, basically the club could pull people out of bus queues to make the big decisions with broadly the same result.
  9. But what does that even mean? All players/managers "availability" could be linked to luck, so why single out Koeman? I think you are "twisting" an excellent managerial appointment by making it seem like a fluke. Which is "just like you" to do that.
  10. "Who knows" you say but you also say the entire process of appointing our manager was luck, right? Did we pick Koeman's name out of a bran tub? Or some kind of Dart board system?
  11. He was a big fan of Moody/Dowie up top, I believe.
  12. Was Koeman the only manager available for us to select in the whole of world football? I kinda remember one or two other names.
  13. Even if his "availability" was luck, in what way was our ability to get him to become SFC manager "luck"? Was the SFC the only job available to him in the whole of world football? And was Koeman the only manager out of work in world football so we couldn't possibly pick anyone else? As before, how about not whining about things that haven't happened and enjoy what has happened.
  14. Tell you what. Why not enjoy what has happened and actually is happening rather than getting upset about things that maybe might have happened or didn't happen at all. It's fu cking delicious where I'm sitting. Come and enjoy it.
  15. What "fans unrest" actually happened then? Hint: a few people grizzling on a web forum is not "fans unrest".
  16. Okay then. It's clearly directed at Hervé Villechaize who died twenty years ago.
  17. Cortese hasn't committed suicide. Career suicide maybe.
  18. Our appointment of him wasn't luck unless you think Les Reed found him wandering round West Quay and picked up him up like a stray cat.
  19. Is everything okay for you yet? You were still grizzling on 2nd September, how about now?
  20. 10 from 12. "Precious Stripes" indeed.
  21. You were making these "oh its far too early to judge this regime, no one can tell what is going to happen yet" statements back in July, right?
  22. I thought he was nothing more than a former employee who was paid for his work at the time. Much like someone who gave good service to a Supermarket or something.
  23. You can't have success and work effectively with the local media. You can't have success unless we don't wear "precious" stripes. You can't have success without the club acting like c unts to local recent club legends. You can't have success without pi ss ing off, not paying and then settling on the court steps with local suppliers. The only way to ever have success is to wear an abortion of a kit, isolate all former players, refuse to co-operate with local press, and for the leadership to generally act the cu nt in all situations. A club wearing "precious" stripes and working proactively with local press and local ex players can never achieve anything. Nothing. Fingers crossed we get knocked out on Tuesday because cup success is sh ite too.
  24. Err, so what did this delay until 2am conspiracy achieve then?
  25. It's the equivalent of pi ss ing money away. Massive capital expenditure to intentionally devalue your own product is utter madness. The only reason to expand and then slash prices is bone-headed vanity. Thankfully neither Cortese (despite MLG's fantasies on here) or the current regime were/are quite that thick, so it won't happen.
