The only accurate part of this post is you saying you have no idea.

Moyes has been a complete disaster at Manchester United - why on earth would anyone think otherwise? I've commented on Moyes performance at OT elsewhere on this forum. Doesn't make him an average manager, though. And Everton under Martinez is at worst completely irrelevant to assessing Moyes contribution, or at best, a fine testimony to the foundations laid by Moyes in his very successful tenure. If Martinez was failing at Everton I have no doubt you would be using that in your dossier of shreds of evidence that Moyes was awful and left Roberto a terrible legacy.

I answered your question sunshine. What else do you want me to say? Go on, ask me another. I'm, like, on the ropes from your onslaught.
-
I'd be delighted. Perfectly happy with our current manager, though. But thanks for the laser sharp questioning.
-
The boy is on fire today. He really is.
-
There is a lot more than a shred of evidence on this thread to support the fact that you are, indeed, a plum.
-
This time last year you were so convinced by the Cortese era you were confidently stating we would be relegated, and the only balls you were admiring belonged to Wigan who had the guts and determination to stay up that we didn't. And you've moaned your arse off about some of the transfers Cortese sanctioned, and a lot of the spending/non spending. And moaned about our slow pace in every single transfer window in the Cortese era. Oh yeah, you absolutely loved the Cortese era.
-
Obviously it won't but I think we all know that. You're playing a blinder, though. Really you are.
-
So David Moyes is responsible for ten seasons of Everton spending before he even joined? You're playing a blinder with your "shreds of evidence" you really are.
-
If Moyes is an average manager, that would make Pochettino an effing dreadful one. The knee - jerk Sky sports "ohh he's so terrible" reaction has been a complete joke. Top 6/7 season in, season out is far from average.
-
Do you really think sending a teenage left back to the world cup is comparable to the selection of Rooney and Owen? Dear me, we know how to get carried away on here, don't we.
-
You said they both turned down CL clubs. Until you backtracked, of course.
-
I think he wanted it more than they wanted him. They stupidly wanted to gamble on someone to "grow into" the job for the "long term" when frankly what they needed was someone, anyone, to prove that the club could be immediately successful post - Fergie. Jose would have never stayed long - probably three seasons - but he would almost guarantee a league title, and cast iron guarantee a cup or two and top four every season. They will regret not swallowing some pride and getting him in.
-
I know that. So why say they did, then?
-
So neither did then. Good. Apology accepted.

I've plumped up a cushion in anticipation of the fascinating stories about what clubs and when.

This is a great shout and highly likely. We already know how chummy the Italian was with certain media contacts, and no doubt he's still at it, especially now his weasel shaped head has been yanked out of the SFC trough.
-
He would have been given time to win the Champions League, to learn how to beat Bayern and Barcelona. He did not deserve more time to work out how to beat West Brom. That was supposed to be a given. If Man U were fourth he would still be in a job.
-
I, for one, would like to congratulate Manchester United on winning the league championship.
-
What was the point of the nonsense league tables you like to post up? This one makes infinitely more sense than your utterly useless 'rolling league table'.
-
Unnessessarily harsh. Everton were a bottom half-relegation zone basket case for more than a decade before Moyes turned up with the likes of Mike Walker, the yo-yoing Howard Kendall and Walter Smith achieving eff - all. Moyes turned them into the top 6/7 force they now are, in another life they could be Sheffield Wednesday. Martinez hasn't proved anything yet. This time last year he was being relegated with a club that Steve Bruce had established in mid table.
-
-
Quite. And this time a year ago Martinez was completing a job of turning a Wigan team Steve Bruce had established in mid-table into a Championship team. It has yet to be seen whether Roberto vacancies consistently deliver top 6/7 finishes that Moyes did, although he's done brilliantly, he hasn't had to build a team yet. Moyes will take some time off (a good year) and then take the easy option at Celtic, or end up at Villa, Newcastle or a newly rich Premier League Sunderland, Notts Forest, Leeds United, or, just maybe, Saints.
-
So why do you mainly dribble on about merely Champions league qualification, rather than winning the Champions League outright every season for the next decade? Or, just like everyone else, you apply your own judgement about what is actually possible. But of course, wise old Franko is right - fourth - and everyone else who dares to enjoy the idea of finishing eighth and going for a cup - is "frickin sad" or something. Dream what you like Franko, just stop telling everyone else what to think.

Looks like one of those occasions when every newspaper in Britain decides to completely make up out of thin air the same story on the same afternoon. Such liars, ain't they?
