  1. Phil Brown, Mick McCarthy.
  2. Maybe next time don't put it on a thread called James Ward Prowse. Well done though. Sent from my GT-I9100P using Tapatalk 2
  3. Footballer of the Year was a sensational game. Loved it. Emlyn Hughes International was a great game on the Amstrad too.
  4. Who? Cork? Or JWP?
  5. So what is the "bad mistake" the OP is talking about?
  6. It will be exactly the same as your first line shows. The minute Adkins is sacked, the Cult-of-Cortese weasels will go swiftly about the task of junking Adkins great work and record. Just like the sneering at Pardew above. Pardew stuck two fingers up at these twa ts of course doing a bang up job at Newcastle. Adkins will be swept aside and sneered at just the same.
  7. His twitter feed doesn't say anything of the sort that I can see.
  8. Nowhere near as good as QPRs.
  9. All the eighties kits are striped except the white shoulders one. And the hummel kit was effing brilliant and of its time. You could say the same about the air florida one too. It was an age of every team having mental kits. This kit isn't like that. It's just an anodyne all red kit for no particular reason. Lots of people (a majority) don't like it. But we're stuck with it.
  10. He'd surprise me. He's great for us but don't see him as good enough for international stage. Nice call up for him but not convinced he's particularly close to getting a game any time soon. But you never know.
  11. Oh, and just thought about David Moyes too. The biggest criticism he gets is "he's never won anything". Bet he'd take a couple of cups over a couple of league placings over the season.
  12. This. Villa did precisely this a couple of seasons back. Mental. Winning any cup is better than a "good" league placing. Winning the Europa would be amazing and I'd take, say, 14th place to get it. Same with the other two cups. Just a shame those league placings are worth so much money these days.
  13. Anybody but a f**king footballer. Footballera hardly ever win it, and one obviously won't this year.
  14. Have to say I'm gobsmacked. But great for AL, and great for the club.
  15. Yes, you're right. I mean one of those kits is red. While the other one is red. Not even vaguely similar, as you say.
  16. Dear oh dear. Perfect response. How on earth is looking like Stoke and Sunderland some terrible horrible thing all of a sudden, but looking like Liverpool, Notts Forest and Swindon is "daring to do something different"? What is this logic? As Our Claus says, why not just worry about looking like Southampton Football Club?
  17. Don't you believe it! Lots of Saints fans living in nice areas don't neccessarily want the club at the bottom of their long garden.
  18. ...which makes it a slightly different case, although still a completely mental thing to do for myriad reasons. It won't happen anyway.
  19. If it is under the control of the city council they would be mental to grant planning permission for a new stadium out there. No need, unnessessary transport ball-ache, taking footfall out of the city, and we've already got a ruddy new stadium. The local response would be very anti- and the whole thing completely lacks any logic at all. The city council would hate it. And I very much doubt Cortese is even considering it. If that land has value, it's not as a football stadium.
  20. Charming stuff. You seem to be labouring under the assumption I didn't understand your "he's family" line. Bless you for that. Thanks for the contextual analysis. I got it. It's fu cking lame mate. And you call me thick. Our chairman can take a little bit of stick on twitter. Shame the bellends on here can't. The response on here is freaking hilarious and you are leading the charge.
  21. Never you mind. But I'm not on here calling a football chief executive my "family". Lame as fu ck.
  22. Okay, so to you he's family. Fine. But then this: So Cortese if he gets upset will leave us and take the money with him. On the back of a bit of needle on twitter. So this "family" thing reads more like the pleadings of a victim of domestic abuse...I luv him I luv him and he luvs me...but don't upset him or he'll break my cheekbone again.... He's a public figure and he's going to get stick. I think he's man enough to take it. I think it's you lot that need to man up and stop squinnying about people defiling your hero.
  23. What "special treatment" is MLT "expecting" then?
  24. Not in my opinion. Cortese is a public figure and shouldn't be immune from a few barbs, not least when they come with pretty good reason. Matt can say what he likes, when he likes on this matter as far as I'm concerned. It's up to Cortese what he decides to do about it. If he decides to say nothing you lot can all toss yourselves off about how fantastic and dignified he is in his silence.
  25. As far as I'm concerned Matt can defame him every single day for the rest of the year. It won't stop Adkins doing his job and won't stop us winning football matches. Who cares? It's the bloke running the club. Why do you people get upset? He's the frigging CEO, not the centre forward.
