    Paul merson

You do get some breathtaking horsesh it on this forum. But this is spectacular. Merson the mind game puppet master. Luke Shaw the whey faced helpless lamb scared of leaving home. Keep em coming.
  2. What differentiated the two was the simple fact that Le Tiss in his prime had a clear role for Saints where he was the focal point and the entire team was built around him. A role that he was never, ever going to get for England. And rightly so because Le Tiss simply not good enough to fo that role internationally. Frank Lampard, on the other hand, is a midfielder.
  3. If he's anything, he's a "forward". Not a midfielder. So no "major error" there.
  4. this bone...? Not sure why one club deserves a "massive bonus" but another doesn't.
  5. The point being this forum is deranged in its obsession with West Ham.
  6. So West Ham have overpaid to the tune of £2m quid a year then. Blimey. That's going to put them at a disadvantage the like of which other clubs have nightmares about.
  7. So they could both pay £2m a year? To be fair, that is a good idea.
  8. Are you saying give it to LOFC? Or at a lower rent than WHU? Just wondering because that would sound awfully like an advantage "the like of which other clubs would never etc etc..." Say what you like about the WHU gang but they are actually coughing up £2m a year.
  9. What is your point about LOFC then? They can't afford to rent it, they can't have it. What's your point? And the comparison with Saints is valid. We now play in a stadium debt free, WHU will be paying £2m a year for ever. So where you get them being the beneficiaries of something "the like of which other clubs would never see" is fairyland stuff. If anything, it applies to us more than them. I'd love to be mortgage free myself. The £600m cost is utterly irrelevent and jack sh it to do with West Ham.
  10. It won't take West Ham long to pay more for their stadium than the Leibherrs paid for ours - just a few seasons in fact. Hardly something "the like of which other clubs would never see". And it sounds like a going rate to me, its just looks low because the stadium massively overran its budget. Which is not WHU's fault and they are bailing LOCOG/Legacy/Whoever out quite frankly. And spare the crocodile tears for Leyton Orient. Total joke club that would never fill a stadium like that. Complete non starter and Hearn just feeding his own ego.
  11. Micky seems to be under the illusion that the stadium was built specifically for West Ham United. Was he in a cave last August?
  12. It didn't, though, so what is your point? And er, you only posted this about five minutes ago: It could have easily gone "the other way" with the Olympic Stadium which would have been a rotting white elephant without WHU.
  13. What is this particular argument then? We were an attractive proposition, which is why the Leibherrs bought us. We didn't become one after they bought us. Glad you agree with me. SMS was a stadium looking for the right occupants and the Leibherrs got it on the cheap. Remarkably similar to what West Ham have done here. Remarkably similar except they are renting not buying.
  14. Err. ML bought us because we were an attractive proposition. Odd.
  15. SaintRichmond on this forum went into so many CAPITAL LETTER strewn rages about what a disgrace it was that we didn't seal the SISU deal. Absolutely fuming he was. Still, not like him to be wrong.
  16. Aston Villa finished sixth three seasons in a row a couple of years back. And their attendances grew and grew and gr...oh hang on. It went down season on season on season those three years. I think there is overegging on how much our base support will grow to. Lots of mid table finishes really won't make that much difference. Not enough to plough millions into infrastructure. Until we get season ticket waiting lists, forget it.
  17. Sterner stuff, eh?
  18. Le Tiss was loyal to us but he stayed because he wanted to, not through a sense of duty or loyalty in itself. Which is fine, and doesn't make him any less of a legend and he's easily the greatest living Saint and a man who does our profile the world of good. And, all these years on, it clearly was never going to work with England. The national team were never going to build the side around him. That hat trick against Russia B was sensational though....
  19. I'd say this is forum tourettes as well but I know Pilchy already needs help with his compulsive lying about "inside info" he claims he has which turns out to be garbage time and again. So presumably already on some medication as is.
  20. Pretty sure this is evidence of "forum tourettes" that you need to get "treatment" for, according to Tamesaint who I am assuming is a doctor.
  21. It could be a) I woke up especially to post on this thread or b) I was on the sh* ter and its something to do before work. You decide. In fact you can bet a million pounds/your life savings/£10 at 10,000 to one etc etc on the correct answer. Which I will reveal at about ten to seven tomorrow.
  22. I do get aggravated by stupidity, yes. And you being dogsh it thick does get under my skin. People who equate "this team are staying up" with "this team are going to win the league" really are special little guys. I shouldn't be angry with you. Just to show sympathy.
