Correct. MLT says stuff about chairman: loads of grizzling about how it "damages the club". Chairman actually does things to make us look like a terrible club: "who cares what people say about us as long as we're winning". Couldn't make it up.
-
No they don't damage the club.
-
Funny that. In fact I can't remember a single thing he's said or done to "damage the club" despite all the grizzling on here. Not a word. But then I'm not the kind of spacker who has decided they support a chief executive rather than a sports team. A pity this forum is crawling with them.

Do you mean we might quickly find ourselves back in League One?

Things you learn from interacting on the Saints Web forum.....

I reckon if we score more goals than Newcastle next week we'll win the match. -
I am. Its the Mirror and they, like, always lie.
-
The Mirror make up unsubstantiated lies. Like Adkins being sacked and replaced with some foreigner.
-
Loving the notion that players are now jumping ship from the world's richest league to the NPower Championship "for the money". Astounding stuff from, err, Captain Sensible.

Good skills re boobage. Never mind Bear. You're just another victim of my supreme debating abilities. I'm like a god at it.

England to win every Euro and WC since 1966. Sinclair C5 ITV Digital Hague for PM 2001 Apollo 13

....and the old "we've got open minds" routine. Seriously, how much of an "open mind" do you need to believe in a football club aspiring for the Champions League? The answer is not much of an open mind. It really, really isn't a difficult thing to envisage chaps, so stop congratulating yourselves. Laughable. PS. I have some historical events which may be relevent for you. Manchester bidding for the 2000 and 1996 Olympics. Betamax becoming the dominant Video format. Leeds United bidding for English and European Football dominance in the 2000s.

The old "you're all short sighted" routine. Nice to see that wheeled out.

I hope these people are writing detailed letters to the club about their experience, along with their own ten point plan on how to improve things. Oh, and demands for a refund/high court writ. Oh, and a page ripped out of the dictionary with the word "hospitality" and its definition ringed in red. Otherwise its just "apathy" and their poor experience was actually all their fault.

"what a sad and hollow existence they must lead". Not a straw man. Your words. Aint it a laugh this internets.
-
I've outlined my dream and been sneered at. The fact you call it a straw man proves my point. "People like that" - judging people's entire lives on the back of whether they are fussed about their football club getting into the Champions League. Breathtaking stuff. Yes, its me putting up straw men. Well done.
-
The main problem is the "dreamers" have decided that their dream is the only allowable dream. Your last line shows you are, in fact, a sneerer.

Sorry. This is nonsense. It's not the customers fault if products and services are crap, and it's not apathy to decide that you "won't buy that again". Thats the market. It's down to brands, businesses and services to be proactive, and find out why they're not selling as much as they could. In short, if your product is sh it, its your problem. Your potential customer base will just get on with the rest of their lives. Rant over.

Harsh on Cov. Wanted to see him take them back up. Udders really not much of a step up, just a bit flush at the moment.

So what we've learnt this week is anyone who doesn't type out some words of sympathy for any random public figure on a football messageboard is an illiterate unfeeling psychopath. Internet sanctimoniousness taken to a whole new level. Well done chaps. Keep typing boys...it really helps.

Funny he starts preaching about "human decency" further down the same post. Laughable stuff from our resident saint.
