  1. Typical - A commercial business goes bust, so lets blame the customers shall we!! not those whose mismanaged it - ie Lowe and Co
  2. ... the day Lowe appointed Wrigley
  3. We had a chance with Pearson, we blew it by appointing Portaloo who lets face it was probably alongside Wigley our worst managerial appointment ever and he was left far too long in charge as was Wigley. Couple that with our inability to score, playing one up front at home and poor defensive record and what did we ever expect
  4. If Lowe had not come back we would definitley have had more season ticket holders!!!
  5. Saga injured - thats our 'strike' force off
  6. When the talk is of administration being so near and we hear stories of Lowe not even having a permanent desk at St Mary's and Wilde out of the Country, I wonder whether the parliament would be set up to take the flak if the worst should happen !!!
  7. Lowe for employing Portaloo and Wotte and for not backing Pearson for manager.
  8. Yes its do-able but not on our present performances. To win these games we need to play well and we are not doing that at the moment. We have to win our home gains. Until a couple of weeks ago we had only won one all season. Now we seem to have got into a drawing habit.
  9. Two home draws in five days against very moderate opposition. The results Just show how far we have fallen this season. First corner for us came in the 82nd minute which says it all about out striking ability.
  10. I was a bit disapppointed with it but I guess it is early days and for me the technogy is new. I guess it comes into its own a bit more when there are more frequent updates. Worth persevering with for a while longer.
  11. and I thought it was me just not understanding the technology - Its enough to make you start going to games again !!
  12. Jones was ok although I felt he brought in far too many players when he arrived that were not good enough and seemed to take a while to get settled. I believe he has matured at Cardiff and is a good manager. Sturrock would be welcome as would Pearson who I believe has unfinished business with the club.
  13. The Trust seem dammed when they do make a statement and dammed when they don't. I think that some credit should be given for doing something. Unfortunately it is probably too little too late. The rot set in when Lowe returned and gambled with the dutch duo His and Wildes Resignation are overdue
  14. To my mind the appointment of Wigley was his worst mistake both in the manner of the appointment and for not getting rid of him sooner when it was obvious it was not working. Returning was a mistake which was compounded by getting rid of Pearson whom had fan support and appointing Portaloo and Wotte. Their appointment made no sense. We were going to struggle as last season had proved and it was not certainly not time to experiment

    nigel pearson

Bur Nigel has still got unfinished business at Southampton
  16. Different era but my vote goes to Lawrie - I was priviliged to watch wonderful players at the Dell under his managership and will never forget Wembley 1976.
  17. We are mot winning our home games and if we want to stay up we have to do start winning. We will however make it very difficult for ourselves if we contine to play with only one man up front at home. We need to take take the game to the opposition and need two proper forwards. Scoring at home is a problem which needs to be addressed.
  18. Yes but Woolworths have been on the skids for years. Paid huge amounts in high street rents having sold off freeholds, lost their way through product identity, huge pension deficits etc Whereas we had a chance. I believe we had pretty unanimous support for Pearson under Crouch and if Lowe had backed him instead of what is being attempted at present, there would have been a lot more goodwill towards the club and a lot less negativity. Goodwill may not pay the bills but it counts for a lot. Lowe needed the fans onside Still I guess we will neve know Just my opinion
  19. I rate Phil Boyer very highly. I always thought he worked hard and was more than just a support act for Ted Mcdougall. Having said that - I think Mick Channon just ahead of Big Ron
  20. I thought Staplewood was rented/Leased from the Barker Mill Estates but stand to be corrected.
  21. We have not even won a corner let alone had a shot on goal. It is pretty bad!
  22. Saints 0 (thats the easy bit) Man Utd 4
  23. Time to leave Rupert as you have effectively within four seasons seen the demise of this club from the Premiership to League 1 with a halving of attendances and a divided fanbase. Not something I am sure you want on your CV so give us all a break!
  24. Totally agree, so why on earth are people like Lowe and Portaloo allowed within 100 miles of the place to wreck the club and its prospects
