Professional footballer, with youth on his side?? FFS

Changes nothing

Sorry, you are right, you did not say you were sure: "I'm not saying that it's right or wrong, but in my opinion he will be sacked whatever now, and will be replaced pretty much instantaneously (within a week)" Maybe NA is still there purely because we have money problems now, and not because we are taking forever to find someone else. But I don't think so
-
You told me you are sure Adkins is already working his notice and will be out any day, just as soon as we complete our (strangely slow) search for a replacement. This means hefty compensation for NA and his team, plus a new deal for the replacements. So, although this imminent event has not happened yet, based on what you said, I doubt we have any money problems
-
Oh oh, don't let Diben Purlieu Saint here (!) that!
-
That can't be right. Some posters insist NA has already been given notice and is due to go any day now, just as soon as a replacement can be found. If HR is lined up, he could start today.
-
Agree. Tons of pace (which we don't have anywhere else) means he is better as a sub against a tiring defence, but ball control and positioning are still work in progress IMO.
-
According to Dibden Purlieu saint and others, Adkins is already out ASAP, it's just Cortese has not secured a replacement. So even if we win 4-0 NA will be fired any day

I think its similar to the discussion I heard about Zaha at Palace. Which went along the lines of - they could sell him for perhaps as much as £20M in January; or if they have any chance at all of promotion, do whatever they need to do to keep him and get promoted. Then even if they finish bottom of the Prem, it will be worth maybe £60M in revenue and so Zaha's reduced value will be well worth it. All hinges on the quality of the defenders for me. If they would make a real difference, then yes as we could replace Ramirez with next year's TV cash
-
Thats a fair point but in mitigation I think its only because Boruc has hardly played. If we are going to stick with one keeper for a whole series of games (which has to be right) then I would always go for the experienced man and the defence will get used to him

Thanks for the note. RIP Eric

This is a must win. For them and us. No pressure

Dont be silly. One of the few parts of the ground that has some semblance of vocal support, other than the Northam of course

Plenty of space at Staplewood

Looking forward to QPR with much more confidence than I was after Monday

Was there a game today? Thought I saw one but may have been dreaming

Have you heard anyone in media / football saying Adkins should go?

This 100% -
Agreed on both counts. Like getting a straight red for a mental challenge in the last Blades league game, meaning he missed both play off semis and the final (you may recall they were already a striker short, thanks to Ched Evans at HMP)

Nice article -
Did we buy the wrong striker from Burnley...
Bucks Saint replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
In reply to the OP, some Burnley fans were on the BBC site yesterday responding to suggestions that Austin should be in the England squad (to try him out). They were firmly of the opinion that he is not anywhere close to good enough and said "he is certainly not better than Jay Rod, who has yet to get going in the PL". It was about current ability rather than potential but I hope that helps -

I knew this would happen -
Yes! Having scored from range, he was urged to shoot from a similar position by the crowd in ET and he duly scored another belter. Brilliant night

Newcastle at the Dell, 1995, when we were losing 1 nil on about 88 mins, and it finished 3-1 to Saints. Heany,Shipperley and Watson scored. Mental under the East Stand, cut my head open in the excitement, did not notice until about an hour later
