  1. I have a feeling we are going to drop now.
  2. Reading seem really organised now!
  3. No they score so many late goals, never know when they are beaten.
  4. I think the bottom 3 will be Villa Saints QPR
  5. Reading just have the fighting spirt needed to beat the drop.
  6. No sod it, I hope West Ham go on to get 2/3/4! Hate that saggy face!
  7. West ham level, please stay like that
  8. Norwich and west ham are in trouble, the more the merrier.
  9. Would have been nice to see at the end of the season we stood. I think 12th. He will manage in the premier league again, and I hope we get to play his promoted Blackpool team. Wherever he goes he will be a great manager for them.
  10. Never heard of his replacement though!
  11. Maybe it would have been better to see out the season, as you say it is going to take time, and he needs and is expected to hit he ground running, no excuses.
  12. He is a passing football manager and we have. Passing team, I cannot see us doing any better, and might just stay up. This is not good enough for me. I want mid table as this is in line with the clubs ambitions for the remainder of the season.
  13. I never hope the club fail, but think they have mad a mistake.... Please be wrong, and European football and trophies in a couple of seasons!
  14. It is hard to keep a balanced opinion at the moment, but the ambition has been laid down by the club, so I now expect better results from the club. I will be harsher on the manager, so a win on Monday is needed for sure, it is a home game against a team we are looking to be better than (yes)?
  15. Are you Italian?
  16. Right, we have a new man in place to take the club forward. I expect some more signings by the end of January as he has been watching us since November. Should be looking for 10th this season and Europe next season I think, no excuses, as we were already heading up the league. Right the games until the end of march. Southampton v Everton 3 points Man Utd v Southampton 0 points (maybe next season) Wigan v Southampton 3 points (we are much better than this lot now) Southampton v Man City 1 point (maybe all 3, but depends how ambitious we really are) Newcastle v Southampton 3 points (they are there for the taking and our away form is very good) Southampton v QPR 3 points Norwich v Southampton 3 points (off form and a small club) Southampton v Liverpool 3 points Southampton v Chelsea 3 points So total = 22 points out of 27 points. Realistically as we are not as good as some think we are, or are going to be 8 or 9 out of 27. Would have been a bit more if we had NA still IMHO. Time will tell which of the 2 predictions is correct.
  17. Im sorry but there is going to be a fans backlash for some time, that is just the way it is, but over time it will fade, if we keep winning under our new leadership. Would be great to get off to a flyer, and we should be looking to win our home games now we have this magician of a manager in charge. NO excuses, sorry, but the change means better results and top half by the end of the season!
  18. Completely disagree, the timing was terrible. If this was done on 5th November it would not have been as bad, but I would still have said we should stick with Adkins. Now we have turned the corner, and we are playing some good football and moving up the league. How is this a change for the better on paper. With hindsight maybe but in the cold light of day it is madness! I just hope it works out, but still leaves a bad taste in my mouth at this moment in time! Please let it all work out well, but for the meantime it has divided the fan base again!
  19. Still livid and 'saints' fans ate fecking morons. Calling out for stability for years, and we finally get some, start reaping the rewards by playing some pretty good counter attacking football, with the belief returning, and we sack the manager. Sorry but this is terrible timing. Adkins was learning and becoming a good manager at this level. I am gutted, and cannot see any logic in this. Of course I hope he does well, but really do fear for the club now, and straying in the premier league.
  20. Now I see the long term ambitions of the club, the penny just dropped. Get this manager onside, get across to him the long term ambitions, how great the club are, the potential, great training ground, state of the art blah blah blah, and he will talk to his mate, the one and only Jose Mourinho. In turn he will think it sounds like a challenge along the lines of Porto, and become our manager next season. Jose Mourinho has always said he wants to return to the premier league, but of course this could backfire come what May, when we are no longer said premier league club and looking at Eddie Howe instead! Feel free to dig this up next year
  21. I do think we will go down now, the timing and appointment is just all wrong, and does not sit right with me. I think NC sees this appointment as the next special one in English football.....he of course is wrong!
  22. Hahahahaha, brilliant
  23. I think there could be a few rainy days over the next 4 months!
