Just saying if they carry on their form, I would not want to be playing them at the moment. 13 games without defeat!!
-
Maybe the Tuesday after this, April 12th!!
-
Don't know we are at Orient that day so could both pull a point further away!!
-
We were pretty dire on Saturday in the first half, we really do seem to be a second half team for some reason. I look at it like this, we are playing poorly but still winning, and with the team we have we are going to hit form and start playing well between now and the end of the season, and I think we will start blowing teams away. We have the talent there no doubt about it.
-
The Posh have really got it together at the back, i think that is 2 or 3 clean sheets in a row for them, which is unheard of, and going forward they look good. It is going to go all the way to the wire, but I am mostly worries about Peterborough out of all of them, and even MK Dons who are flying at the moment. Huddersfield are very lightweight away from home, and Bouremouth no matter what the result on Saturday I just feel have peaked very early and will run out of steam on the run in. Brighton.... well forget them now!!
-
Beat Bouremouth on Saturday and we will be above them on goal difference. Let me please point out post 114 on the link below!! http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?28670-Colchester-0-2-Saints-Post-Match-Reaction/page3

Not hiding anything, was told if I did not go to the game then to send the tickets back with a cover letter. The last time I was told this was the day before the game. It is an official letter back from the club with the tickets. I do not think the case is that the game has been and gone and they got the tickets the day after the game, but the fact that they have paid Walsall and the books have been closed. I have never had a problem with the ticket office before. If I had know back in December that it would be so much trouble to get the money back I would have sent them back at the time and just said I could not go, but I wanted to go and support Southampton so had to wait until the last minute. I made this very clear on the phone.
-
I was not serious about that point. If Walsall do not refund I will go back to Southampton FC with the letter I get from them. Then take it from there. But it could just drag out!
-
I did not get the names of the people I spoke to on the phone, and I do this daily as a job when trying to collect payments from customers. You just think that is ok then I will send them back and get a refund. I can see the point of view of SFC, but what I have been told by them as a supporter of SFC I would expect them to refund and then get a refund from Walsall. We are talking £40.00 now what is that to Southampton FC? To me it is a bill or 2. To Walsall it is a dip in the ocean to surely. I do not think Walsall will refund as it does not sit right with me. But all this going backwards and forwards just takes my time. Then even more time to get the point of view of fellow supports lol. I just want my money back for a game that I could not go to (thank god)

Now I am not pointing the finger at the club, but just asking the question. I bought tickets for the Walsall game back in November for the December fixture. The original date was 18th December and was called off. This is fine and I phoned the club to explain that I would not know to pretty much up to the date of the rearranged fixture (1st March) if I would be able to go or not. I was told this would be fine and if I could not go just return the un-used tickets to the ticket office. The day before the game I found out that I could not go to the game due to work commitments, and I phoned the club again, and they told me to return the tickets to Southampton Football Club ticket office. This I did and popped it in the post that evening. I get a letter back on Saturday morning with the said tickets and a letter. The letter says the below. 'Please find enclosed your tickets for the Walsall game which was played on 1st March 2011. As we received the tickets after the game had been played we unfortunately cannot refund them. This is due to us already settling the reconciliation with the club, to apply for a refund for the match tickets you will have to contact Walsall directly. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause'. Ok this is a fair point I can see where Southampton FC are coming from with the reply. But I was told that I could send them back at ANY point as long as they were not used. I even phoned the day before and was told to return them to SFC. Did they think they were going to get there the same day? Also the contract is surely between me and SFC and not Walsall the 3rd party? I should get a refund from SFC and they then get this from Walsall? I work for a Fashion wholesale company (Walsall FC in this case) and we ship to retail outlets (Southampton FC in this case) that then sell their goods to customers (me in this case). If these items come back faulty the customer get a refund from the retail store (Southampton FC), and then we credit the store as the wholesale company (Walsall FC). I am sorry and it is only over a couple of tickets, but I think the club are wrong to bounce this back to me to contact Walsall, as I am a SFC supporter, who I have not had any dealings with in the transaction. It wastes my time and I am sure they are going to come back to me and not refund, so I will then take it to the football league. So keep a look out on watchdog for me!!!

It amazes me how quickly Saints reports appear on here after a defeat, but when we win, nothing for ages. Do you think this could go hand in hand with the negative vibe from this forum? I think more positives need to come from the top. You will note that the Pardew sacking was on the main news page for months, and the Walsall away defeat appeared within 2 hours of losing. Now here we are after an away win and nearly 48 hours since the game ended and still no report on the game. I could go on to point out more but I cannot be bothered really. The forum just needs to take a good look at it's self. We are right up there and we are not playing that well. We will start playing well and get that 2nd place. Hopefully a win at Bournemouth to go above them. COYS!!!

I think come next Saturday will will be above Bournemouth on goal difference, with 2 games in hand!
-
Just back from the game, and I am one for staying positive and a win is a win I know, but the first half we were terrible and came out of the traps so slowly. A lot of posession but not in key areas and going backwards. Then the game changed with the goal and then a sending off within minutes. We still looked the most likely to conceed a goal before half time. Second half and the early goal settled us and for 10 minutes after the goal it looked like we might take them apart. They then got a foothold and to get to the last 10 minutes 0-2 up and against 10 men we really did look so nervous. So we won and probably had the better clear cut chances in the second half, and I cannot really re-call Kelvin having to make any saves but why so nervous? We also do not look like a team that are looking for promotion. We need to get Oxo and Lalana on the ball as much as we can. But 3 points it is and hopefully the form will return soon, and at last we beat Colchester...... what is it with the fog at that place?

Looking to go tomorrow, but went last year and parked at the ground, but hear it has sold out this year? This is strange as they were doing much better last season and it was between xmas and new year. Seemed to have loads of street parking off the main road. Also do not set your sat nav to the ground as you reach you destination on the A road inbetween junctions. So can I get tickets on the day? Where should I park. I think industrial area near the ground. Took an hour to get out of the car park last year and they are such a tin pot club with tin pot fans, and it was really foggy!!

Even though being a Saints fan we just know it would be roun the other way!!

http://www.izleyin.gen.tr/izle/123268144400436/en-guzel-penalti-golu-the-best-penalty-kick-ever Great pen, just think Saints sudden death need to score pen to reach the Championship v Bournemouth.

I think that everyone is so on edge at the moment, and worried that a couple of poor results could screw our season up. To be honest this is what it feels like. We really need a good run of 3/4 straight wins and everyone will relax again and match days will be louder. So much up for grabs and no one wants another season in league 1.
-
Looking forward to this one and my first visit to Walsall! Well the ground, I have stayed in their travelodge!!
-
R.I.P Big man, such sad news!
-
It is going to be interesting at the top, but I do think with the games in hand we will sneak 2nd spot!
-
As Long as Bournemouth do not win, and the same for Brighton I will be happy! We have the games in hand on the others.
-
This is brilliant..... COYS!!!
-
Who is Richard Lambert.... get in!!!
-
See I am in two minds today, we will smash them 4 or 5 - 0 or we will struggle and get a point. I think it depends on how they set out against us, hopefully not like Notts County!!
