I want either Cardiff or Swansea to go up, as I do not fancy a 2 trips to Wales (not that I would go) I would prefer a trip to Forest & Reading though, so do not want either of these 2 to go up, but I really think either Reading or Swansea will go up. From League 1 I really do not know. I want Huddersfield to go up as I think in the race for second place they have been fantastic and very professional about it. Bournemouth for me do not have a hope, their form is terrible and Posh and Huddersfield will take them apart on their day. Cannot stand MK Dons. My head says Peterborough on this one in a Huddersfield v Posh final.....I hope it is Huddersfield though.

Now I have heard that it is going to be like this, red bottom and white at the top.... no stripes or sashes to be seen!!
-
I do like the red and white uniform they wear, and I am not sure why??

I know it is hard to tell what we will do next season until we have seen who goes and who comes into the club, but what are your expectations for next season? Earlier this season I was saying that when we go up at the end of the season I would be happy with mid table. When we beat Plymouth I thought scraping into the playoff's I would be happy with, but after Norwich went up I was thinking why not top 2? I was wondering if the club and manager are thinking top 2, I am sure they are, but I would be very happy with a playoff place, and not to down in the dumps if we finished mid table..... top 2 would be a dream!! I just wanted to gage now what you want next season, and then again after pre-season, then again after 10 games. How about a Poll now, and then again just before the start of the season, and then another after 10 games.

I wonder if I will hear back from the FA? I know lots of people that have written to them and not had a reply...so rude. I am hoping that now I am a referee they will come back to me on this. I know Royston Town FC will as I have a great relationship with the club.

This, I cannot get excited by an England game like I do Saints, and after the last World Cup I have given up on the international team!!

I still hate the fact that BBC and ITV have not had 1 live Premier League game since 1992. I do not think they should have exclusive rights anymore, but on the other hand the BBC could not compete, but I still think they should have a handful of games a season. I am thinking of getting rid of Sky, but I love watching football grrrr!!

No my waiter dropped my ****ing steak, could not walk let alone flip things around!!

I am thinking of getting a season ticket, but I will probably only be able to go to 6/7 home games, but I will be looking to let friends use it for lower than the price I paid for it, sat £15 a game. Is this allowed as I do not want to waste my money and at least I can get a little bit back in the meantime.

oh and match of the day has been really peeing me off since 05/06 season, but not so much this year. I just want us to get back on there!
-
Also on 5 live they say they are the home (or words to that effect) of the Premier League, the Championship and the Scotish premier League, that has peed me off for 2 seasons.
-
Well I have written to the FA and the local club Royston Town FC.

That is a little bit creepy but hey, would love to see the photo's of you taking their money, which you help put in their pockets!! What goes around!

Been there a couple of times, and went on Eurostar to Brussels, and it was easy to get a train up to brugge which is really nice for a day trip. Brussels we went to see the ****ing boy and the main square was really nice. We went in December and it was rammed with tourists. Really liked it and it got us into the Christmas spirit.

funny enough it was in a restaurant in Turkey on the main strip in gumber, but it has gone now! Along with most of the main strip! In the UK it was in Guildford on the Woodbridge Road stunning but it could be because it was one of the first places I went out for an Indian. Now it is the Royal Bangal on Royston high street

Don't get me wrong as no one could even get close to Saints for me, but you would start to feel a little bit of a connection, and I really would like to go and watch them with the family. 9 and 3 year old daughters. The 9 year old banging on about supporting Saints, Arsenal and Man U!! I just feel that these clubs need to look at how they could get more people through the gates, and ok for me it is to late I bleed red and white stripes/sashes, but for you young children you could grow your club for the future. You surely have to look at it more long term and dare I say it as a business?

You have a lot of traditional football fans that see football as a 3pm Saturday afternoon activity and that is when the games should kick off. You tell that to a Manchester United football fan! The powers that be could at least put it to a vote, and perhaps if the football clubs did a bit of market research they could all see how much of a difference this COULD make, or maybe not, and then they could make there own choice. They have to look at it properly and also take into account that football is changing so much all the time, and even more so with kick off times and less and less money at grass roots level.

Have just written to the FA with regards to non league kick off times. Most of us have a non league club that we have a soft spot for and some of us even going and watch them when Saints are not playing. I live in a town called Royston and I would love to go along with my daughter and watch Royston Town FC as it is a team in the community. Even though I do not get to go to that many Saints games in a season, I still NEED to know what is going on and to be sat here on this website/Saints Player, with Soccer Saturday is the way to go for me and how I stay as close to the Saints as possible for half the games I cannot make. I cannot see why non league teams cannot kick off at 12/12.30 or 12.45 on a Saturday and then many could be able to go and watch their local non league side and then go on to watch Saints home matches or even get back to listen to the game depending on what you life allows you. This way the attendances figures will be up for non league clubs and it will also bring them the much needed revenue at lower league level, which is very very short on supply. I have done a poll in Royston with regards to this as I run the forum here and the below is what I have come up with. Football Fans survied 1,043 Southampton Fans - 3 Arsenal fans - 231 Chelsea fans 178 Man U fans - 101 Spurs fans - 183 Liverpool fans - 62 other fans - 285 Would go and watch Royston regularly if kick off times did not clash. Southampton - 1 Arsenal - 52 Chelsea - 23 Man U - 54 Spurs - 75 Liverpool - 3 Others - 65 Total - 273 Ok so this might not look many to you an I, but for a club that only get 200 fans through the gate even if half of these go say 137 then they will bring in an extra £685 per home game, and £28,770 over a season. If everyone went it would be £1,365 per home game and £57,330 over a season. Not including programs, food and other bits from the club shop. I know I would prefer my daughter to support her local side than Man U or Arsenal!!

I love refereeing youth football, 5 minutes an they are all back lined up and ready to go!! I on the other hand am still sat down at the side of the pitch!
-
But quite often our game finishes last out of the whole football league. I find the non league and the premier league finish first then the football league. I do not get to go to most of the games in a season so I am often screaming at the tv for the game to finish when most of the others have had their shower and cleared off home!!
-
I always notice that our games at home are normally one of the last to finish. I think he tries to get the best out of the players considering his background and the way he knows the footballers bodies (as he would have had to study this). I think he is spot on with what he does, the rest the players need, and other little things that I would not even know about. Diets, coming back from injury, best time to get the best out of a player against the oppo, and fitness levels. All I think could make us stand out from the crowd and hit the ground running next season!
-
We have the winner surely??
-
If we keep winning I will be happy to play in a binbag!!
-
Now that is one hell of a call, but still think it could have been much different if we had beaten Rochdale as Brighton could have been crowned champions if they had then beaten us and in turn I think Huddersfield would have got second place. I am very happy the way it turned out!!
-
Fair play to him, I was jealous!
