  1. Their last 6 games they have lost 1 and won 3.
  2. So let’s say Sheffield Wednesday are nailed on. Maybe Oxford because of their ridiculous decision to sack their manager just before Christmas. But saying this they got a 0-0 draw with Bristol City yesterday. Then Charlton won and I thought they were in free fall, but in the last 6 they have picked up 2 wins and 2 draws. So maybe one out of us, the blue lot down the road that have more fight for this kind of thing, and their fans will not let them not give 100%. Then for me I think Blackburn will be the the other team. WBA I think have enough to battle it out, but look dire with the results, but have been playing ok for a while. The fact that I’m analysing the relegation is a sad state that we should not be in. It is just a good job that Wednesday are in such a state!
  3. At least you are prepared for the worse, and expect this. Anything better will be a bonus. last time I went was 2003/4 it was terrible. Marched from the train station to the ground, got pelted with all sorts of objects. Only got into the ground about 15 minutes before kick off though. They won, so they all cleared off home happy. The other one was AK testimonial and we smashed them, and they went nuts and smashed up their own city after chasing us around Fratton. Again it was the train and an evening game. I think the fact we will not win will help. In my experience if they lose they go freking mental!
  4. We also had owners that had a clear plan, and there was a togetherness from the new age of Southampton Football Club. Anyone coming in under the current set up will struggle.
  5. I think we will get a point.
  6. We are in serious trouble. 7 without a win, we are in a downward spiral and they can be massively difficult to get out of! We are 2nd bottom in the form guide to Sheffield Wednesday, so that tells you just how bad we are. Do not under estimate how much we are seriously in the poop 💩 IF we get dragged into a dogfight, we will not win. We are not physically or mentally strong enough, as we will find out next Sunday when that blue lot come at us. I would not want to be in that away end next week, for this reason. I was there for the 1-0 and I was there for the 4-1, it a horrible place to be at the best of times, but when you are playing like we are, no thanks, not for me this time. Also the travelling 6 hours each way. it’s going to be horrible, I think I might cycle for the day instead!
  7. Tonda will be here until the end of the season, or until we drop into the bottom 3, which could be by the end of February at this rate. Surely not the end January 😧, so in summary he might be gone soon 😂 We are in such shit storm I am not even sure what we are going to do next anyway. I cannot get angry anymore, I’m just defeated by the club, and can only shake my head. My boy asked me ‘why do I support these lot’ he was born in Cambridge and lives in Carlisle. It’s my fault!
  8. Spot on, but do you think he notices that he is getting it all wrong, because he needs too, or we are screwed. Or does he have so much arrogance that he thinks all is good? Just typing this I cannot for the life of me think that he thinks this, so why is he not putting it right. Is it because it is his mates, has he let personal friendships get in the way and blur his vision. He is not stupid man, he is a success business man, but when it comes to football these kind of people seem to lose the plot and think they can do it on their own. It’s crazy 🤪
  9. Also can Leo stop coming over and look sad and dejected and trying to explain to the fans. Yes come over and clap, but do not come over for a chat every week. I could not give a toss, just do it on the pitch!
  10. Correct, it needs to be done as a top to bottom exercise, but this needs to come from the top. New advisers, new manager with experience, coaching staff the managers own, then the managers players, not those advising, apart from scouts that are in it for Saints and have experience. The key thing here is experience. You cannot keep striping out players and bringing more in, when you do not have the right set up above them. They lose motivation and you go through it all over again. Every part of the set up needs to be working and well oiled. We continually try and make a system work without the right set up and players. Round holes, square pegs! It all has to fit together to work. Look at Wrexham, they are a prime example of letting people in their own area of the club get on with it and they work as a team towards to number one objective. Lots do not like them, but watching it is a good watch and how business should be operated correctly. Yes they might miss out this season, but they have more hope than us!
  11. Yes strip out ‘top to bottom’ as mentioned. Start again with proper management in place. Keep it simple and do not over complicate. Get rid of the old ideals as that kinda football has moved on. Blank bit of paper. Here in Carlisle they are still trying to get rid of the deadwood a year after the owners realising they were being taken as mugs by some football people. They now stay out of the footballing side of things. Might go up this season, but think they will be spot on next season. The thing is they realised their mistakes, but will SR?
  12. FA Cup? Oh yeah… cricket 🏏 ☀️ 🍺
  13. Time and time again. Not only has this a negative impact on the team, it also just wastes their money. They took over in our relegation season 2022/23 and have continued to invest heavily, but in the wrong areas, and sack a manager who was being worn down by the impact of them not buying a proven striker. This is still a problem over 3 years on. They are still recruiting the incorrect managers and players time and time again and trying to fit them into our idea of playing football, and continues to have a negative impact on the team and the club. You think they would realise they are just peeing their money up the wall. If it was you or I investing you would want advise and surround yourself with people that are experts and well respected in the area of work, so you money was protected as well as it could be. There is always a risk of course, but then there is complete incompetence, which the owners are showing. I just do not understand how you can be so blind and careless with your own money? They can still make this work if they put a better strategy in place, strip the set up top to bottom in the summer, or even now, so it is in place for the 26/27 season. Parachute payments, hopeful scrap enough to stay up, or start again in league one. If we get it right (they get it right) we should have it spot on next season. I cannot see the above happening, we will continue with the cycle, rinse and repeat until we keep falling and SR clear off. They have the money to make this a success, but they do not have the foresight to execute it!
  14. I did this and it was dull out there as well. Now watching Fleetwood v Cambridge. Come on you U’s
  15. I don’t think it matters where we go, or what we do, we continue to get it wrong on the pitch. Even I am looking downwards now. Lose today, skates win, lose in their backyard next week, oh dear!
  16. Eye of a needle!
  17. What a surprise, we never learn. We have not got the personal to play like this, we are are to fragile, and do not have the ability! Still long time left I suppose? 🤷🏽
  18. Che scored twice in the last 16 away at Roma this evening!
  19. Dull, but winnable. They only have one decent player in Fatawu, who seems to be the only one who is bothered to give any effort, that can turn it on at any time and win the game.
  20. Looking for away of course Wigan, Grimsby, Burnley, Macclesfield, Burton, Hull, Leeds, Mansfield. Ideally Macclesfield, Burton, Hull or Mansfield, as I have been to the others, but my son has not been to any of these.
  21. There have been many 2nd half’s this season, probably going back to the Hull away game when we first fell apart. Our players are not going to fancy FP that’s for sure.
  22. Yeah unfortunately I do not go to home games, so it is off my radar. Just not sure of the angle, but at least something is happening. Massive divide in the away end yesterday over the chanting.
  23. I really am having nightmares thinking about the 2nd half at Fratton Park if we are all square at half time. I really do not think we are strong enough, anywhere near strong enough to go to Fratton Park and get a result. Look at most of our second half performances lately. We looked a shambles at a too be relegated Donny yesterday. I have a huge fear for this game, it is not going to be good!
  24. We would have made him crap don’t you worry!
  25. There is a protest after the Hull game I believe, it is the start of something. There was quite a bit of chanting yesterday against the owners. I still believe if they can realise like the Carlisle owners that they are doing it all wrong on the playing side and rebuild they can do good for the club. As I have said they are not afraid of spending money, but they are spending it all wrong. I think a protest is required, but to make them see that they are getting it so wrong, rather than selling and leaving. But how the hell do you go about doing that?
