  1. Hi all, I would like to set up a forum like this one for my home town. I would like some advice on how I can go about doing this? I would like a template and let others do the input as a message board and then sometimes have some other articles on the front page. So could do with someone setting it up for me, and then I will just add stories and events to it as and when needed, but only something basic. I should amagine it would have less users than on here as I only live in a small town!
  2. Swansea have been a 'top' flight team in the 80's and I am sure both Cardiff and Swansea will make it into the premier league one day, as they both have good clubs and are posied to do so, and have the set up.
  3. I would just carry on as a sole trader. depending on what you are doing of course.

He used to be our manager, and was very unfairly treated while here. He was cut short in what i have no doubt would have been a good job for us!! Fair play to him and what he has been through, deserves all the glory he can get, great bloke to.
  5. I think this, but at the time, I think you live in hope. A bit like a free kick around the box. Saying that when we break out people get excited when we are just coming over the half way line. I think this is just football in general, just gets you excited for strange reasons!
  6. I am not sure about this as I have seen some cracking strikes this season in our league. A few against us!! Just need some shooting practice... sounds like the World Cup excuses again to me!

  8. Different to all of the one's on that have been posted about visiting all the grounds to watch Saints play, I have always wanted to drive round to every ground in the country for charity. I would say cycle it, but think that would take a little bit to long for the holiday I can have at work. Takes long enough to drive round to them all!! Anyone else ever thought of doing this?
  9. Skates can't!
  10. Are people still babbling on about this without knowing all the facts? Thread over, someone lock it and put some on here out of their miseries!!
  11. I thought he was going to be the player to get forward and score a few along with lalana to support the front 2. This does not seem to be happening, but out of the ones mentioned he has the best shooting ability... or did have.
  12. He is a bit like Oakley, but without the ability to shoot. You need someone to keep it simple and the game ticking over.
  13. Agreed, Puncheon said he had a point to prove and I think he went a long way towards doing this. Still a little bit hot and cold, but that is like most the team at the moment. Need to get Lalana on the ball as often as possible, but out wide where there is a little more space rather than the congested middle of the field!
  14. Have we ever played a none league team in the FA Cup. I was hoping for Cambridge away!!
  15. First 10 minutes we ripped them apart with a high tempo, and should have been 3-0 up. The rest of the half we were the better team, and were trying to play football with a mix of long passes forwards, but after we went one down we became a bit aimless. Needed to get level before half time or I think it could have been different. I thought we were going to come out of the blocks in the second half but up until we scored the half was terrible, and then be scored and ripped them apart again for 10 minutes, and then we decided that we were going to just hang on for the win when I thought we had a 3rd in us, only to nearly score before we tried to throw it away. A bit of an up and down game really and very scrappy in large periods of the game. 3 points was the most important thing today!!
  16. Used to love the area round there, and the Pizza Piazza they had there which I believe is now a Strada. Lovely part of the world as was Guildford, and of course Southampton.
  17. I watched them at Whaddon Road back in 1998 a few times when they were in the non league. I only lived in Cheltenham for a couple of months. Lansdown Place.
  18. So you do not like landlords or tenants? This thread has turned into something quite entertaining. I was expecting someone to say yes, and contact me and that would be it. I would have never thought it would cause so much friction!
  19. Oh no not the picture hanging again. There is something for everyone who wants anything done!
  20. Sounds a good shout that one mate.
  21. Sorry my boiler has been fixed, and what I thought was a simple requested ended up being a massive debate. At least it kept me going through yesterday, turned out quite entertaining!
  22. Leaving them until Friday was never an option. That is when I am in Southampton and down for the game and the weekend. I have been in contact with her (the tenant) all day, and said that I was trying to find someone to come round. An engineer would not have been able to come round until Thursday anyways, but that is neither here or there, as all I needed was for someone to do the easy job, that 'anyone' can carry out, as told by a customer service repair person. My tenant was not happy doing it, and this I respected. She did say that if someone could not come out and the engineer could not come out until Thursday, she could go and stay at her mums. I told her IF it was not sorted tonight I would 100% get someone out tomorrow to make sure it was working. It got fixed but I had someone booked in for tomorrow but not through the offical boiler repair service, but would have been sorted within the 48 hour period that it needed to be fixed.
  23. Not a bad result either. Saw it was 2-2, but not sure how the scoring went?
  24. I would tell the whole story, but do not feel the need to justify my actions. I asked on here, I asked my sister and my brother-in-law. If someone could not help out today then I already had a company lined up to fix it tomorrow. I thought I would ask first just to see. It is not a business, I work full time in accounts as a credit manager, I rent out the property to a person on benefit's who is a single mum with children. I do not even cover the mortgage on the property let alone running repairs. I get messed around by the housing benefit with payments, and I rent up in Cambridge. I always make sure that my tenants are looked after and try and get ALL repairs done as soon as possible as that is my responsibility, and me and my wife have just been without heating for 3 weeks and we rent through an agency. IF I lived in Southampton or even a few miles away i would have gone round myself. This is why some people hire an agency to look after the property, but they charge stupid money for the silly little things that need doing and take a cut for nothing, so I paid them out of the contract with the tenant at a cost of around £800.00. Money is not the issue here at all really, but if someone is willing to help and there have been 3 or 4 people on here then why not?? No harm done and everyone is happy about it!
  25. I think he is ripping the pee out of someone else on here.
