  1. Now that is what I have done before and would have done if I was not 2.5/3 hours away. It is nice to know that you can rely on your Southampton Football Club family network to lend a helping hand, as I would do the same at the drop of a hat. I will make a token gesture as mentioned in the original post, and already have. Thanks again you have stopped a lot of stress for the tanant, and even though it was my responsibility I believe it has been handled correctly!
  2. Not I tried not to even get involved in it. But if you ever find out please let me know!
  3. Yes it really is that easy and does lose pressure. I spoke to the bloke at the boiler service phoneline and he said refer to the manual and do it yourself. As also quoted on here it is like turning a tap on and off!! He said you would be mad to call an engineer out!
  4. Like the summer. She only put it back on a couple of times in the last week, and then it dropped. Minor thing. All be sorted tonight I hope.
  5. It has happened before, the pressure in the house is naff, and the same with the radiators. Nope we checked this, below the boiler is the kitchen no leaks and the boiler is suspended of the ground. no leaks from any of the pipes. It is common with these boilers and it is only 13 months old brand spanking new the whole system.
  6. Thanks JustMike I will let you know but seems like my brother-in-law is hoping to get round there this evening after work. It is a 2 minute job, just the lady cannot fix it or is not happy to which is fine. For me it would be a 2.5 hour journey or she will wait to friday when I can do it for her.
  7. It is a job that I could do myself. I will be down on Friday, it is only the pressure, you do not need a qualified person to do it. I have asked mates but they will all be at work until 5/5.30 so was seening if a fellow Saints fan would help me out. She is fine to wait to Friday, but I will try and get sorted before then. She is not confidant with doing this herself as she has not been exposed to having to do this before. I have done her a huge favour in letting her rent the property on benefits and through a friend so not really a biggy. Just asking a favour!
  8. Itwill not reset and the pressure gage is below 0.5 and it should be between 1 and 2. It will not reset unless the pressure is right. the tentant told me about the pressure and the bloke on the other end of the phone confirmed it. He also said just get her to do it from the manual!! hmmm!
  9. yes he probably is... but doubt closet?
  10. I do not have a photo of my tenant, that would be a little bit odd!! Young 3 kids.
  11. No rats as I know of, but please do not take your shot gun!
  12. As I was posting this, I was thinking the same thing. Should I be offering people round to her house that I do not know? Hmmm. But she cannot fix it, and she is struggling big time with no heat. I am down saturday but that is not much good!
  13. Had a call today from the tenant a young lady saying that the boiler has broken, but it turns out that it just needs re-pressurising, which can be done by any Tom **** or Harry or anyone else really and an engineer is NOT needed. The problem is the tenant does not feel confident doing this, and I live in Cambridge. I was wondering if any of you kind gentlemen from the Southampton area could go and assist her? The instruction manual is at the property, and I have a copy that I can email to the person who can help. If you can help I will send the full address in Sholing, just PM me. I will sort the person out with a token gesture for their help. Cheers Kev
  14. How are things going at Ebbsfleet? I went to see them in the cup final win over Torquay. Great day out. I here that numbers have faded a bit. The ground was in desperate need of something, or a new ground. The club are in a fantastic up and coming area. Not looking for a takeover away from MyFC?
  15. Were was Guildford City original ground on Joseph road? http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&biw=1276&bih=823&q=Joseph%E2%80%99s+Road+guildford&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=Joseph's+Rd,+Guildford+GU1&gl=uk&ei=vHe9TKiyAYuhOvWYlUI&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CBgQ8gEwAA
  16. I might take you up on this. I lived in Guildford for a couple of years 1996-1998 Portsmouth Road, and Sycamore Road. While I was living there I did look at the history of the Club. I also follow the Guildford Flames as i worked at the Spectrum Centre for a year in their triple winning season. I could never find where Guildford Played so used to go and watch Woking.
  17. So how was it?
  18. Just wondering if any of you guys have a local non league team that you watch? Of course most of you will maybe go and watch Eastleigh, but as I live in a town called Royston (a few miles from Cambridge) I go and watch these sometimes. Support my local team as such. I go and watch Saints as often as possible and even more than ever this season, but do you guys watch you local team, and if so post their website, and one day our small local teams paths just might cross. Used to watch Cambridge United for a bit at the start of last season, but they looked like they could be heading towards the same league as Saints around late September time, so knocked that on the head! http://www.roystontownfc.co.uk
  19. Really, they offer parking? Where? Would not get there to early as evening games would come from work so just about get there for kick off, and Saturdays would arrive about 2pm.
  20. I think that Hoddle was a really good manager for us, and left us when we were at the height of what we could achieve. What was it 7 clean sheets and playing good football. I think if he had stayed we would have not got any better than we were and as well as it being Spurs he could see this. WGS a completely different manager, who before he joined had a team of mis-fits who were playing terrible football and were not fit. WGS got them up to high fitness levels and they could use their little bit of ability for longer. Fitness was so important, as was working hard for each other. Out of our managers since the mid 90's until now these two stick out in my mind of doing a very good job in two different ways, and have been the most successful at the club in recent years. Hoddle - Built a good team playing football and good at the back WGS - Built a very good team, but again like Hoddle took us as far as he could and then just held on for to long. WGS did not take over a team that was on the up by far, they were teriible!
  21. Now this sounds cracking. I know the route out because up to 2006 I lived in Sholing.
  22. I would but the return jouney is not planned out very well. Under the Itchen bridge sounds a good shout. Might have to look out for this one. How do I get to that from the mini roundabout at the end od the Itchen bridge, and is it the stadium end or the other end?
  23. Right I will watch out for that name, this bloke was married, petty normal, as I have come across some right idiots on away days. the bloke on his own to my right on the other hand was calling out, slagging off all the players, and stating the obvious and talking to people who you could tell did not want to talk to him. He was wearing a tracksuit and is the sort of person I would expect to be chatting to on here well 50% anyway.... a moron!
  24. This is the thing, I hate leaving games early and have to get back to Cambridge. If I leave straight after the game I should be back home between 12.30 and 01.00 midweek. Saturdays not so much of a rush to get out so some pop in the pub could be the way to go. Like I said rather pay for parking than to wait for traffic to clear. Also do not want the flack on here for leaving 5 minutes early, and after travelling that far to get to the game seems stupid to leave before it has finished!!!
  25. As I am now a regular visitor to SMS again this season, I have become increasingly frustrated by the parking for home games. I have tried several places. Retail Park - not suppose to park here for more than an hour. Not sure why you cannot for evening games? Lesiure world - again not suppose to park here, but you can park for longer, but is a distance NCP car park out the back of Mayflower, but took over an hour to get out after the Rochdale game Station car park - still a bit of a trek and cannot always get a space. I do not mind paying for parking, this is not an issue, but does anyone know any good parking which is close ish to the ground and where you can shoot off either up to the M27 or up the A33? Cheers
