We up our game, score and take our foot off the pedal. Let’s hope we do not switch off completely in the second half. Win here and get another win at the weekend will relieve a lot of pressure. Big 50 minutes of football.

Looks like the home game against Pompey will be played at St Mary’s. Not going to be fun for them playing at Fratton Park, they will get plenty of grief, if the Pompey fans know about womens football that is. I’m sure plenty will go along just to hurl abuse!

That was a little disappointing, but I’m not surprised.

Pretty rubbish weekend. Then winner of our league play the winner of the north league and that team group. So evening winning the league might not be enough. This is a big result. Will need to beat them on the last day I think.
-
I think if we win we will win the league. We will have the superior goal difference, so even losing to them on the last day will mean we are level on points with better GD. If we lose on the other hand we will have to beat them at theirs to win the league on goal difference. 👍 I think we will win every game (outside of the Ipswich fixtures) but just depends on how many by. But we will batter pretty much everyone apart from Ipswich.

Back in league action tonight, but seemed a little rusty as it was 0-0 at half time and not looking as sharp as they were before this long break. Could be that they have their minds on the big game at home to Ipswich on Sunday which I believe will decide the title, but they will need to put in a better display than this. But another 3 points in the bag! Southampton 3-0 Crawley Wasps

Yeah in your dream! Wake up, in more ways than one! 😡

National Cup at Ipswich today. This will be a great match to see where we are against the other side we will be battling for the top spot in the league for. The 2 league games against them will pretty much decide the league. I think we will need to beat them once as we will have the better goal difference. I have said all along that the winners of our league will go up as the northern teams are not as strong. But after what seems age since our last league game (October 3rd) it’s the cup again today! COYR!

Brentford, Newcastle and Norwich for me. Brentford are going to drop like a stone. villa, Leeds, Watford and Burnley will also be down there and we flirting around the area. All going to be tight, but Ralph is the man for the job for me. We play football the right way. Need a proven striker while the others find their feet. Shame we look much better away, probably better suited to counter attacking and away is normally the better option for our style. I think we will draw with Villa but beat Norwich comfortably.

Ipswich won again 0-5 and our game was postponed. We are now 9 points behind with 3 games in hand.

Oh and hopefully the break for JWP and we will see him back to his best 🤞

I have a good feeling for today. I have no idea why. Liking the look of the team lineup and the only improvement would by S Armstrong in IF and when he is fully fit from what is available. Thinking it will be a good game 👍

As I have said before the other Southampton woman’s team have better coverage, but that’s is of course because they are solely a women’s team. Southampton FC have been behind the times for a long while now, which is a shame for a club that promote their selves as forward thinking and revolutionary!

My mum always taught me that if you had nothing nice to say, then don’t say it. it’s a game, he smiled, it might be how he reacts to that sort of thing. He smiles a lot. He is a human being!

Get in!

I cannot either, but I have not been to a home game since Ralph has been in charge. 😬.

I would just go with the fact that people are entitled to their own opinion and in all walks of life this happens, but even more in football and then again in a forum. He has us playing football in the right way and has had his hands tied with transfers and acted very professionally. I would like to see him around for the long term here’s to the next 3 years for stability!

This 100% first half at Everton and Newcastle especially we ripped into them. We were the better “team” at Man City and should have won, as we should have at Newcastle. Second half at Everton we deserved to lose. Cant say to much about the home games as I have only watched Wolves all the way through, where again we were the better team but a bit wishy washy up front. Highlights of yesterday we were much the better team and solid against a very good West Ham side. I do think we are better set up for away games and counter attack very direct, which we managed to do at home yesterday. I think we have looked more dangerous away and exciting watch. We have so many players that can run directly at defenders and they should do it more often. We lack a premier league striker and I think we may have just found one 🤞

I think if anything it shows because of the heights he has reached. In a way he has made a rod for his own back, as you notice when something is off. Perhaps he is not fully fit, and just because he signed a new contact (because DI left) does not mean he 100% wants to be here, he might want a better club than Villa to move too. As a Saints fan I hope he hits top form for us, even if that does mean that he is likely to leave for a top 6 club. I not delusional that is how it works unfortunately!

You are getting me wrong I love the bloke, but can you tell me hand on heart that is performances have been up to ‘his’ standards this season. His dead ball delivery has been off. I am not going to question his fitness that is down to him and the management. To me as a supporter, if he is on the pitch he should be 100%. if he is not rest him! I want to see the best of JWP like we all do, but we are not seeing it in the first 8 games. All I am saying is something is off.
-
Agreed. For me his performances have been poor this season. His delivery has been off, with corners absolutely bollox, and maybe his challenge last week shows his head is not right? . Maybe his head is away from the club? Hopefully he will sort it out and turn in a great game soon and prove me wrong.
-
Redmond was amazing. Where has that sort of performance been? good result and hopefully a springboard for a good run. No reason why we could not win the next 2. But we know it is not that straight forward.

Harrison Reed looks quite handy for Fulham. Comfortable on the ball, direct running and not a bad shot on him. Not scored since 2019 which surprises me looking at the way he plays.
