First half last week we were really good, but just had a feeling we were only around the corner from an error that would be costly. Just think we switch off and it is always going to be costly at this level. Quite promising result, but not seen any of today’s game.

Saints never fail to surprise me. We could have, should have won that in the end. On to Newcastle. Anyone know what is up with S Armstrong?

My iPhones are always “free” with upgrades so do not notice how stupidly priced they are.

Yes I am enjoying reconnecting with old threads. Some are quite interesting 🧐 as 13 years have passed. Phones, cars… this was a team that I saw in a local league last week.

Any over the last 13 years?

How many have Nokia now? Me I have a Blackberry! I presume most have an iPhone or a Samsung? The ones with Samsung are the type of peeps who say ‘I will never get an iPhone’ because it is some kind of evil, just like the COVID vaccine is now? Crazy’s 😝

Currently re-reading the Stephen King books. Read them the for the first time about 30 years ago. A couple of his newer ones are ok.

I only paid mine yesterday so perhaps there is a lag. I can still respond though.

So looks like Long will just leave at the end of the season.

I really like Pap’s place and he is one of the good guys. Always clashed with him a lot while at school with him and through my 20’s, but he has his way as tells it as it is and I always used to find that tough. Now older I can appreciate the stuff he says and agree with most of it. I also share the same sarcastic and dry humour. The first fanzine online that I used was the Ugly Inside and used to love it. It used to have the Friday drinking club which was lunchtimes on a Friday and also a football team that used to play against the fanzine of the team Saints were playing on the Saturday. A great Saturday morning match. Then there was the greatest one for me, the Saints Forever, but I think that it was all to do with the timing. Then this one. I’m a Saints fan, but what I like about Paps place is it is more about appreciating ALL that is Southampton. The place I was born and grew up until the age of 21 and moved back from 2001-2006. Now in Carlisle and never to return it will always be the place I grew up and that is what makes Paps place so special to me. but after around 3 years of having other stuff going on in my life and tough times fighting depression, I think I am fully back and going to watch the Saints again with my 9 year old son. This is the place for the 100% Southampton Football Club indulgence.

Southampton Football Club, have always been a joke when it comes to this sort of thing. What have they been doing with these season tickets? You can still post them out even if fans were not allowed in the ground or whatever lame excuse they are using. You send them out to paying customers and if circumstances change, then you adjust and communicate to them what is happening. what is the reason for them screwing up anyway? What is there excuse? Is it COVID? Is it Brexit? Whatever it is we all know it’s bollox.

There is/was only one other in Carlisle and now they do not go. I have seen/know of at least 4 other Saints fans but they are not on here.

Finding £600 in a draw that you put there about a year ago and forgot!

I will be going to mostly away games this season as I am now in a position to travel to watch the Saints again. I will be going mainly with my 9 year old son. So for me it will be in, park, food, match and home. I have been to all the grounds in the premier league except Brentford, but most quite a few years ago now, but looking to get that back on track, and as I live in the great border city (Carlisle) the northern games will all be a tick ✅ along with many of the others. For Newcastle away I would suggest as it says in the link below that you park at Newcastle College and walk. I have posted in the Cumbria Saints and offering lifts from and back to Carlisle and anything on route. https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/premier-league/st-james-park-newcastle-united.html
