100% this. If Fonte was not such a **** and VVD did not get injured I am sure we would have had silverware in the bag as well. He is a very tactical manager, just look at the job he did in the semi final in both legs against Liverpool. We shut out a team that can score for fun. Ok it does go wrong sometimes, (home game in our last group match in Europe springs to mind)but he is human and this is football. The bloke has done a pretty good juggling act, with our cup run, Europe and a mid table finish. I'm pretty impressed if I am honest. Looking forward to next season.

Ha ha ha, let me know if he does and I will flick over forums.

Great idea.

Back to membership for me this season. I live far to far away to justify a season ticket and also I prefer away games, midlands and northwards. Only got one last season for European games. It worked as I knew it would as I do plenty of away games. Of course things are slow at the moment, just had Easter and it only a few days until a lot of people's paydays. It will pick up come tomorrow probably.

Hoping for Wednesday, Huddersfield or Leeds, but think Leeds are not going to get in as their form is awful. Probably Reading or Fulham then! I will be happy for all the Reading fans I know though.

I would ****ing love it, if the skates came out to 'The Adams Family".
-
I hate to admit it, but this is the best one, even though I do like the Met Police idea!
-
Perhaps someone should try that on Jeff!!

Also back to Dave Jones. The way he was treated by the club was terrible. Just an excuse to get rid. Not saying he was any good as a manager for us at all, but you do not treat human beings like that!
-
Paul Jones was class. Great signing. Some of the saves he made one season were amazing. If Matty kept us up single handily most seasons, there was one season that Paul Jones did (think one game that stands out was Man U 1-0 at home). Yes he lost his way a little the last few seasons, but really liked Jones.

Met Police - I fought the law by the clash.

We will just have to get back in for the 18/19 season after winning the FA Cup next season.

Dear Dalek I'm back you tart! You still banging on about Saints getting relegated? I have not been a regular on here since 2015 and you were churning out the relegation battle then, and we have qualified for Europe twice since then! Bet you were loving it a few weeks ago when we were having a bit of a wobble? We are fine, we have been for weeks. You do know we are quite a handy side yes. Defiantly a mid table team this season, but San Siro and a Wembley final, got to be happy with that, no? Still pitching for 17th........ you might be right one day you know, as we will be relegated again in the future, but we will still support Saints no matter what league we are in, just enjoy it fella!

Hi all, I am now living in Carlisle Cumbria and was wondering if there are any other Saints fans in this area on this forum. I know they are around as I have seen a few. Cheers.

Can't see us getting much from this one. Chelsea were nowhere near Spurs on Saturday, but still found themselves level. Then they brought on the bigger guns and that was game over. They have such class all over the field and just need a sniff and they will punish. On the other side of this argument, they could have a day like they did against Palace? I think it will be a good game though.

Adam Hammill scored the 2nd as well.

Depends how you are measuring things as Man U and Arsenal have both won trophies and face cream man and that other bloke have played in 2 major finals (one European). Off the pitch, you can bet they have made far more money from their contracts and sponsorship deals/****ty tv adverts!

Took my boy to his first game this season at Sunderland away, back in November. He was still 3 then. We were at the back. At the end the saints fans around us sang 'it coz of you, Southampton won because of you' to him. He looked a little scared at first with saints fans pointing and singing at him, but soon realised all was fine. He loved it.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-1 Crystal Palace
Dr Who? replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
So is there anyway we can not have to go through the qualification saga, without Bournemouth having to beat Man U? -
Straight in or qualifying?
-
So is 7th spot no good?
-
He is class, but cannot work out in some games where has gone?
-
Let's hope City win the Champions league then!
-
Yep he has towed the line and got on with his football after his sulk. He will be gone as will big Vic.
