Something was up with Salisu today. He was very pumped up and I think frustrated that he made the challenge for the penalty. He knew the red card was coming. He had to be talked to and calmed down by 2 subs and he just looked very angry and pumped as he was leaving the field. Did not acknowledge the Saints fans at all in the Itchin chapel corner as they applauded him off. All very strange, seemed to lose his head completely, so much that his tackling was off like his head was not straight.

We play some really good football. We do try and play the ball into the net far to often when someone should be looking to shoot. We are a pretty good premier league team, who win some, lose some, draw some and we have a manager who gets it right sometimes and wrong other times. But boy he fits the club well and he has loads of passion. Me I think he is great, but like all managers like him, I do fear for him, as a manager you are only a run of bad results from the sack.

Well what a strange first home game for my son that was. In control and the only team in it up until we scored and then Spurs turned the screw a bit and make it more of an even contest, but one we looked in control of with no real scares. Then in a split second that all changed with a stupid challenge, penalty and the sending off. At this point I thought that was game over. The Spurs disallowed goal was a huge turning point (and very funny after they celebrated with flare as well). After this we seemed to dig in even more and I found it a really good game of defence v attack with the odd flicker of a chance and then a big chance at the end. My son did not take his eyes off the second half and I have never seen that at a game. I thought every player played out of their skins. FF was brilliant and seemed to be revelling in it and having fun. Long deserved his standing ovation off the pitch as he was kept on to do a job to 70 minutes and did it perfectly. Some of the comments on here were comical having just read through the thread. Thank god it is not toxic in the ground as the support stayed with the team (even though people were leaving in the last 5 minutes. Why stay for that long and think, that will do)? π€·π» I made my boy not just leave the ground as everyone of those players deserved to be clapped as they walked around the pitch. If you cannot stay and do that with that kind of performance then when can you. Tactics spot on! great point, got to love the Saints. π»

Thank you, just secured tickets for me and boy for tomorrows game. π

Yep complete sell out, apart from individual tickets. We were waiting to see if travelling from Carlisle to Southampton was going to be possible with the possibility of a lockdown. Looked for tickets yesterday and only individual tickets left. it was going to be the boys first home game but he will have to wait.

Looking for 1 adult ticket and 1 child ticket (9 year old) for this game. Unlikely I know, but we are travelling down today to Southampton to see family for a few days.

I played Palace on Football Manager earlier. I am flying and top of the league, palace are bottom. I said whatever the score was in the game I was playing would be the score tonight. Well we were 2-0 after 25 minutes. We won 2-3 with an 85 minute winner. So I have just put 2-3 on as the final score. Of course unlikely but at least we are approaching the game differently, as we are behind instead of throwing a lead away.

Donβt do it! Save the ticket money for beer!

Excuses, excuses, excuses. Everyone needs to stop pointing the finger and have a little respect for each other and a little more team spirit. Fed up of it.

But again, they held the ball better than us and had just as many shots on and off of target. Some might say they deserved a point. Granted we had the better couple of chances.

Iβve seen worse, much, much worse.

The rest of December is massive. The games come thick and fast and I seriously think he will be shown the door, if our points to games ratio drops to negative at new year. It will time to change. Fingers crossed we will pick up a couple of wins.
-
Bet they will not mind their walk home now.
-
I would say that had more possession and the same amount of shots on and off target? But still we probably had the better chances.

What a surprise π

So are we just hoping to hold on for a 1-0? π€

We will see on the next Romeu challenge!

Seriously do we practice popping the ball in the net or not?

Here we go then. Get a second Saints rather than letting the oppo back in it quickly! Please. Big 45.
