Every other team lately have been stalling Leicester, taking points off them for quite a while. We turn up, 4th place in a must win game and for 20mins can’t even get in their half. It’s typical Southampton, can’t compete when it matters. The play-offs are going to be such an anti-climax, inevitable semi-final loss to WBA.

Those days are in the past. I reckon we’ll still attract promotion-capable players, but we will lose many influential players this summer if we do not got up, it will only get more difficult the longer we are in this league.

If we were to win our two and Leicester somehow lost to Hull, 5pts could separate 1st and 4th. It would still be a massive task, undoubtedly considering our form, but I’m trying to be optimistic - Hull, West Brom and Leeds would really be toughest three you could get within in the Playoffs.

Just theoretically, what happens when we don’t get promoted, does he stay? It’s going to be just as tough/tougher next year against Sheff Utd, Burnley and Luton and we’ll be severely weakened unless we shrewdly buy some quality. Missing out on the obligation to buy THB is hard to take imo.

Need goals, takes off a striker. No meaningful game until May now, that’s us well and truly play-off bound. What a let down two weeks make. Let’s hope we look better by then.

Wow, nearly 2! This is not how my nightmares of this game had been going the last two nights, c’mon boys!!

Obviously the worry is, a performance like tonight and we won’t be back in second, because we’ll be getting beaten by West Brom and staring down the barrel of 5pts behind with a game in hand by 2pm Saturday.

The hardest thing about these sort of performances leading to potentially not going up is knowing we’ll lose KWP and Harwood-Bellis and we’ll just slowly become stale over years like half of the championship currently are.

The more this game moves on, the less we look like scoring, more so Bristol City getting a second. Feels like the week our play off spot will be sealed, having to go away to West Brom. 5 a drift by the weekend? That would be quite the demoralising turnaround. I hope I’m wrong.

Not worth bothering for a replay to add another fixture to the congestion, then if you eventually get through, another fixture to get humped by Liverpool, pointless now when we’ve got promotion to protect our players for. Feel sorry for Maidstone, at one point in that draw, they had an 4/5 chance to draw a PL team.

Even if we hold on to 1-1, i’ll begrudge the #18 unbeaten post that’ll drop. 2 points lost on Leeds and Ipswich if scores stay as they are.

Considering we took our three most likely candidates to make something happen up front, we’ll have to settle for a depressing draw unless we find some unlikely attacking inspiration. Shows that we cannot keep up with the automatic promotion chasers, if we stay on 17pts, already 11 behind. Cannot be dropping points at home to 23rd place, that’s criminal.
