Same here......it's a shame I can't do it at the bookies.

Nobody was stabbed in yates yesterday or outside,I was in there last night and I know the bouncers and there wasn't any trouble all day in or around there......it may have happened elsewhere but I doubt it is true.

Some on here suggested that lallana will be used by pardew in the same way as alan ball used letiss...... 'when you get the ball give it to Adam' but I think that pardew will be making a big mistake by doing this. The boy undoubtedly has a bit of skill but he ain't no letiss,Matty never allowed himself to get pushed around and if he did you could bet your life that the next time he got the ball he would make that player look silly by turning him inside out.lallana spends too much time running into trouble and falling over. Overall I think a lot of the younger players,including Adam, were chucked in at the deep end last season and I think a few of them need to take a step back to improve themselves and gain a bit of confidence.

I'd agree with that,I think he is more effective just behind the front two,picking up a few loose balls and running with it.no doubt he has the skill he just needs to use them to his advantage.

I do rate the lad but he needs to get tough otherwise he's going to get a serious injury,he sh1t out of a couple of tackles today which is not a wise thing to do. I have been a bit critical of the team lately but I was pleasantly surprised today,keep up the good work.

If he is going to be a big player in pardews new setup he has to improve on that display today. He was too lightweight,too easily knocked off the ball,went down far too easily and wasn't very quick getting back to his feet. Opposition defenders will look at that display and realize they will have a quiet 90 minutes taking him out of the game. Also his haircut makes him look like a Romanian orphan:-) But on a serious note he really needs to up his game otherwise we might as well send 10 men out. Rant over.

It's all relative,Pompey are in a better position than us but I think we are the more stable club at the moment. I would have to say that I would rather be in pompey's position,although they are likely candidates for relegation they still have a chance of staying in the prem where the money is........us on the other hand will also struggle but we are in the wilderness leagues where the money is tight.

I was told that they were going this week but unless they leave tonight then obviously this information is wrong. But saying that I seriously doubt that rasiak is actually injured,the truth is more likely to be that he is off.

Just out of interest has any of fans that boycotted because of lowe bought a season ticket this season?

For 2009/2010 Who do you think the candidates will be? Will it be a current player,will it be somebody we are yet to sign? Could it be one of the youngsters,ready to surprise us all? Just a bit of fun on the eve of the season:-) I'm going for Lloyd James.

Likewise,I have no arguments with anybody,I like the fact that we all have differing opinions it makes us all human but I do worry that we are going to fall too far behind before the new regime have time to stamp their mark. If we are struggling in the transfer Market without having a backup plan then this will be a massive setback that we may not recover from this season. We are already walking a thin line and if we can't get the balance right then we are bound to fall. I am fully behind ML and pardew and I pray that they can get things.

Everytime somebody says something you don't like or has a different opinion you play the 'just be thankful that you have a club to support' card.......this is the extent of you argument and it is wearing a bit thin. How long are we supposed to be grateful? There were many fans who 'went Wilde for mike' (not me),he was the new saviour to some and they rolled out the same tripe as you are,and what happened?....nothing apart from more fook ups and disaster. I am glad I have a club to support,but let's not kid ourselves,ML is not doing it for nothing,there is always a price to pay........I don't know what that is yet but in time we will all know. I am right behind the new regime but I will continue to question the lack of activity in the transfer Market that is leaving us dangerously short of quality to compete.I don't want to see another season of struggle and heartache but if pardew is struggling to attract any players then that's what it will be. Closing your eyes and shouting 'be grateful' will just hold us back.

And a council house......only one problem though,getting past redknapp,he lurks around in Dover with a torch looking for the next big signing under a lorry......well he did for Pompey anyway:-)

Thankyou for noticing,it's taken me years to acquire.

It's not for the people who forget to renew (not many I suspect) but for long term season ticket holders who havnt renewed this season or past season ticket holders who havnt been for a while for one reason or another. I know plenty of fans who held a season ticket in the prem days and early CCC days who they could and should target,fans that have gotten out of the habit of going to games. For a small outlay they could net a small fortune for a few years to come.

Yes I do,a simple innocent discussion always descends into a farce,usually involving the usual suspects.

If you read my posts carefully you will see that this has nothing to do with my self importance or renewing my season tickets,I couldn't go even if ML and pardew rolled up outside my house in a gold plated limo,dropped at my feet and gave me 4 for nothing......I was toying with the idea of getting 2 for my older sons but they can't make every game so that's what prompted my dilemma. The reason I started the thread was because in the past I have recieved a fair bit of junk mail and offers from the club whilst I had a season ticket so I would have thought that it would be in the interests of the club to send me something,if only a price list for season tickets. Tbh I'm not too ****ed if they don't as it would be a waste of a stamp but,as you say,a new beginning,a new hope so why not, on the back of that try and attract some 'lost' fans back into the fold. Just a simple,but proven marketing strategy could land the club a few thousand quid and a full stadium......or would you not be happy with this?

I know they have done this before as a few years back(prem days) a friend of mine didn't renew his season ticket which he had for about ten years,he didn't renew because he became a helper to a disabled fan,somebody from the club rang him to find oit why he hadnt renewed and when he explained they sent him a load of comp tickets to give out to family and friends ,which was a nice touch.
