Tbh I have only been entertained a couple of times since we were relegated from the prem. I don't subscribe to the sh1te about changing managers, there are only a handful of clubs that have in place long term managers, the rest of the league are just like us,always chopping and changing. Spurs have had numerous managers in the last few years and they seem to be doing ok,they are still in the prem and attracting decent players something which we failed to do. Our downfall was a reluctance to spend money on decent players largely because of a rigid pay structure,IMO we were over cautious with the pennies.

Why did the ball boys have the balls taken from them?
lordswoodsaints replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
Yes I thought the advantage rule was used in a crap way today. On one of them he allowed the play to continue, the brentford lad had the ball but tripped over it and he called the play back.....? He had the advantage and he fooked it up himself......crazy. -
On about 60 minutes some bloke in a suit walked around the pitch and took all the spare balls from the ballboys? Either he wanted to get away early or it was some sort of tactic to slow the game down,if it was the latter it didn't really work to our advantage. What the fook was that all about? Did pardew order it? Did the ref order it? Any ideas?

Are the players to blame?....I would say that pardew fooked up at Swindon and he didn't fill me with confidence today.
-
Don't know,but I think it's in the screwfix brochure.
-
Sol loves money (amongst other things :-) ) and he will go to notts county who are going to pay him by the wheelbarrow load,he is on £100k a week at Pompey, that's why they are in the position they are.
-
I would disagree, every game last season had something in common.......they were shjt:-)
-
Tbf we probably are underdogs and after the Swindon game my expectations couldn't be any lower.
-
Do you really think so mike? I would have thought that having sir Clive as DoF would scare away any potential players from signing for us,you know how these millionaire poncy players would react to having to negotiate with a rugby player. I would like to think that letiss/benali would achieve something similar to what keane achieved at Sunderland but what I would wish to happen and what would have happened is probably a million miles apart.....largely due to lowe lurking in the background.
-
With the wonky ball kicker as DoF As in the letiss book/todays echo. Would it have worked? I doesn't really fill me with confidence.....inexperienced managers coupled with a DoF from a different sport,I'm not so sure.
-
I have put us down for a 2-0 win on the prediction league but that was before the Swindon game so I'm not so sure now. If we are being outplayed again and pardew decides to do nothing again then we will be very lucky to get a draw.
-
18k.....I think a few people would have lost a bit of interest after the fook up that was Swindon. It will still be more than Pompey will get at home for their next game though, especially as James,Campbell, distin and nugent will all leave in the next few days.:-) Why oh why didn't they look at us and not learn from our mistakes.
-
We have to learn not to beat ourselves first.

All I know is that kim van dee waals favoured columbians.

I will beleive they are good when I see it,I hope you are right because I can't take anymore games like Swindon, that was a big step backwards. Players are always highly rated elsewhere but seem to turn to sh1te when they get here.
-
The whole thing was a complete **** up from the start, you cannot blame a man for taking a job and I do feel a bit sorry for JP but he had a choice and if he had achieved good things here he would have gladly accepted the applause.
-
Should of asked the question 'was he available for the Swindon game' he would have got 90 minutes.

Tbf most of the teams in our league would love to have the players we had on our bench, every single player on the pitch could have easily of been substituted after 20 minutes it was that bad. I don't think anybody is expecting miracles from pardew so early in his reign but what I do expect is a bit of tactical awareness, even a formation tweak would have been nice, every saints fan in the ground could see it wasn't working and did pardew do?..........nothing. This is unacceptable when we had a bench full of capable players, regardless if they want to leave or not. The facts are we were beaten by ourselves and pardew did nothing,I don't know why he did nothing but I suspect that he either a) wanted to prove a point to somebody or b) he didn't have a fookin clue.....unless you can think of another credible reason then both a and b are worrying. A lot of people seem to be forgetting that we have been in a relegation battle from day one, wether you like it or not, this doesn't give pardew a lot of time to get things right, standing on the line doing nothing to improve our chances will do exactly that.... Not improve our chances. On the other hand standing on the line and making the most of a bad situation, getting the best out of the players you have at your disposal and directing them from the line has to be the better option.

My only highlight was leaving the place tbh. Mind you it was (in a sick kind of way) amusing watching a useless bunch of ****s being orchestrated my another useless cnunt who had to be told by 3000 fans to make a sub.
-
Probably another relegation or another manager change,we usually get one of them.......I don't know why we don't get socks or a soap on a rope like everyone else.
-
Contrary to reports there was an ex player scouting Swindon before we played them. I spoke to somebody close to the player involved this evening. now either he is a crap scout or pardew chose to ignore him......either way somebody fooked up big time.
-
Tbf west ham are a premier team and will find it a lot easier to attract the players they require......us on the other hand are a sh1te team in a sh1te league being beaten comfortably by some more sh1te teams. No comparison really.
-
Looking at that list I really don't have a clue where our points are going to come from. Before last night I had in my mind that we would beat Swindon and beat brentford but after witnessing that pile of sh1te last night I cannot imagine us getting anything on Saturday. Unless pardew pulls his stubborn head out of his arse then we will again struggle.
-
This is all well and good but pardew looked subdued from the outset,he was quiet,he was just a spectator,he didn't try and make the best of a bad situation, there was no coaching from the line and there was definately no tactics, plan b or anything. I don't agree with the booing during the game but I can understand it,we were rubbish and pardew looked lost and a beaten man from the off.
