  1. Players should know when they have been crap and as a result should work harder to improve for the next game. If they don't know they have played well when it is obvious they have then they need to be told, otherwise they will just continue to be bad in a delusional way. The problem is the ponces are surrounded by people who will never dare to critisize them regardless of how they play and that needs to change, pardew needs to tell them what he expects and if they don't deliver then they should be rejected.
  2. A couple of transits went straight to their main pub, smashed the place up and gave the everton lads a good battle, they didn't expect it as nobody has had the balls to do it before.it was mentioned a while back on one of those silly danny dyer programs and the everton lad who was talking about gave a good account.
  3. I havnt read it as I can't be arsed and it is usually the same old 'we should have won and things will get better' ******. I know it is a big ask to get a manager to criticise his players but they get paid well enough to be able to take a bit of stick,if you're sh1te you're sh1te and nothing is going to change that but perhaps some of the players need to be told that they are sh1te so they can work on improving themselves, perhaps the fear of being dropped might get them to pull their finger out of their arses, they need somebody to fear and perhaps pardew isn't scary enough.
  4. I hope you are right but..... We need to gain 1.4 points per game just to survive by the skin of our teeth (if history doesn't drastically change) and we are currently gaining one point per game,it is an improvement because before our win last week we were gaining about 0.7 points per game but we still need to improve to survive. This is not manipulating the stats to suit my argument, points per game is what you need to look at to judge our destiny.the bookies use it and so do the managment of sfc. You can bet your life that pardew is fretting over our 'points per game' form, and if he doesn't then you need to ask why.
  5. Relegation form whichever way you dress it up we are not gaining enough points per game. I'm not being negative, just being realistic.
  6. Was that really good enough? Have we dropped so low? It sounded poor. I'm not convinced.
  7. The echo goes to Sisa because one member is a drinking buddy of one of the sports editors.
  8. The world was a different place in the 80's,it was a more violent place to be,fans were treated worse than animals, caged up and angry, you had to fight your way to grounds and then fight your way back home again and not just with opposing fans but the old bill as well. What you get today is sterile stadiums, plenty of freedom and relative safety.the trouble you see today is the local ****heads getting brave or the youngsters trying copy what their dads were upto back in the day.
  9. Nobody is making excuses for it,what I said is proper football violence is mostly organised.....what you witnessed was a minor scuffle by a bunch of idiots who got brave on a couple of weak largers.......the football shirts gives it away tbh.
  10. Some of you need to get over yourselves, from my experience with football violence in the 80's the people doing it go looking for it and expect to get hurt.....it is not a bunch of idiots looking to beat up a family wearing football shirts,it is organized and the people involved are all consenting.......rightly or wrongly it happens and always probably will.
  11. How about banning all away fans like Luton did.
  12. Let everyone mix freely.
  13. Pinnacle simply 'appeared' to offer a better deal to the creditors, somebody paid the exclusivity money so they were given a chance. Why fry allowed pinnacle to get that far is a question only he can answer.
  14. Tbf I wouldn't even compare them to championship players. If you want to get out of the league you are in then you need players who are better or the best in your league... We've got a couple but the rest are pretty average.
  15. Brought back some memories :-) 'saints star Reuben agboola was today lying injured in Southampton general hospital - but there was a wall of silence as to how the defender was injured. Agboola was "under observation and quite comfortable" in a orthopaedic ward amid rumours he had been involved in a hit-and-run road accident. No one at the dell would comment to the press or the police about the matter. I was out drinking with the saints players that night,a young dennis wise was with me and it kicked off in boogies and spilled over into the precinct. I never commented to the press or the police:-) but I probably will include it in my book that I might write......one day. Anybody else remember it?
  16. 1-1 not good enough to stop the boos.
  17. exactly, our patience mean jack sh1t,if they don't think pardew is living up to their level of investment then he will be gone. We can choose to chuck our dummies out of the pram or not,it won't make a blind bit of difference,it's not our money pardew is slashing up the wall.
  18. I think you will find that our turnover of managers is a misleading statistic,a number of those managers left of their own accord for various reasons but I do agree our turnover is not good for whatever reason. If you read back through my posts I did a comparison with spurs who also have had a large turnover in managers,in fact since 1978 when we were both promoted they have had more managers than us. IMO turnover of managers is not our problem, the constant rebuilding of managers trying to put their own mark on the team has been a bigger problem for us. To persevere with a manager who is struggling is more harmful than changing a manager IMO,that's not to say I want pardew gone, that would be stupid after such a short time but if things don't work out then people shouldn't be scared of another change.
  19. I think the problem is people were expecting better than pardew,I'm not his biggest fan but he is a good manager for this league.football in this country is under so much pressure I just don't think he will be given the time to finish the job. Personally I think the job is too big for pardew and I still maintain he will be gone by the end of the season,it may not be right but if he can't turn things around then he is not untouchable,I don't have blind faith in him like a lot on here and he will be just as vulnerable as every other manager in England. We all want stability and long term successful managers but I'm afraid it doesn't exist for 99.9% of the clubs in this country, high turnover of managers is the norm for the majority and I can't see that changing in my lifetime.
  20. I'd say that pardew hasn't met their expectations as of yet and they are waiting to see how things pan out before taking the plunge with a DoF. The owners will have a time frame in mind for pardew to deliver,5 year plan or not,it could be 2 years,it could be 6 months but you can be sure that they will want results to match their investment if things are to move forward. I should imagine that pardew would welcome the help but it would have to be the right person, wether or not he gets to decide is a different story.
  21. So when exactly does our season start? I'm getting confused,is it this Saturday? Or was it last Saturday?,perhaps it was the Swindon or brentford games? Or is it after we get a win? I need to know so I can give it my full support.
  22. It should be a comfortable win,but let's face it,I suspect it's not going to be. Yeovil will be coming to spoil things and add yet more pressure, couple this with an over expectant crowd and you will start to here the boos loud and clear by halftime.
  23. Clutching at straws and manipulating statistics to suit your argument IMO. The only statistic you need to look at is points per game, although the result at charlton can be looked upon as a good result the facts are we are not gaining enough points per game to stay in this league (if going by the last 5 seasons average of staying up in L1 continues),we are gaining 0.7 points per game, not enough I'm afraid.
  24. Opposing defenders must look at playing us as a day off, easy money,we are not making them earn their Money. Last season I posted that the players seem to be over engineering the build up which usually ended with them losing the ball without even finishing the move with a shot. To me,this still seems to be a problem, this may be an unwillingness to grab the bull by the horns and take responsibility for taking a shot, perhaps it is because they are scared of failing, perhaps it is because they are not good enough? Who knows?
  25. Ask him why has he got a girls name?:-)
