I've never been a member and probably never will,it seems pointless unless we are flying high in the prem . I think the club should concentrate all their efforts in getting loads of season tickets sold,stack em high sell em cheap.

I will speculate that the premier will again split,the big boys will break away to form a super league consisting of the cream of Europe. If we do ever get back to the premier league it won't be the one we left,it will just be league of the leftovers a bit like a premier championship. Pompey will probably still be kicking around in one of these leagues but the money would have long gone,following the teams that broke away. Whoever is left will be in massive debt that they are unable to pay but eventually the game will become fairer and non elitist.

Agree,it could also be deemed as bullying. Whatever your personal feelings are towards this person he doesn't deserve to be singled out for ridicule.......everyones differing opinions are what make this forum what it is.

No,he hasn't played for us yet in league 1 but he did for a bournemouth side that got relegated for one reason or another. Tbf he didn't set the championship on fire,ok there were a few milliseconds of his potential but little else.

I think we all know that wotte has been given the gig just to bring a bit stability to the playing side whilst the takeover sh1t continues,he knows that and he also knows that in the end he will have to step aside for a new man the the deal is finally done. He is on a 12 month rolling contract which gives him some security,which IMO he deserves. He is not everybodys cup of tea but he has been dignified,patient and willing whilst chaos reigned around him.he wouldn't be my choice and I suspect he wouldn't be the choice of most of you but out of the 90 or so currently unemployed managers there would only be 3 or 4 who I would like to be given the job. I think we have to be realistic,the only way we are going to get a 'big name,crowd puller' type of manager is if the new owners have a large chequebook otherwise we are going to end up with something similar to what we already have.....would they be any better? The way I see it is that for the time being it would be beneficial if we stick with wotte,it's not ideal but it at least brings a bit of stability in these chaotic times.

I should say so! I would be a little p1ssed off if I was buying the club for £15mil only to realise that lallana constituted about a third of that.... He ain't worth a million as it stands but hey,if they can get 5mil then jump right in......can never see it in a million years though. No club in there right mind is going to part with that sort of money for a L1 player.

He should be cheap as he was absolute plop last season.

I should imagine it is something along these lines. Pinnacle have probably offered the same money for less of a deal.
