Philipp Hosiner would be good, but Austria Vienna have progressed to the play-off round of Champs League. If they are eliminated by Dinamo Zagreb we'll have 3/4 days to get his signature, although he may be content with Europa league.

If you could relive one footballing moment, what would it be?

Rickie Lambert called up for England
Killers Knee replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in Golden Posts
Well and truly deserved, proper chuffed for him. Hope he gets decent playing time and shines. Gives me a reason to watch England, which is also nice! -
Have you ever taken a bird or your Missus or both to watch Saints?

The chicks you see in Football grounds are the type that must have nice personalities -
Long shot, but do you think we could lure Hernandez from Man Utd? Spends way too much time on the bench for his talents.

Who is to blame for the Summer of inactivity?
Killers Knee replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
We have too many second strikers, we need a top dog. Never seen the need for a winger and midfield looks in good shape for the season ahead. We are still too weak at the back and i fear the days we see Fox, Fonte or Jos pull on a shirt in anger. Can't see why they haven't been shipped, far better quality available without breaking the bank. Who is to blame? No idea, apparently there is a transfer committee, so the buck stops with them. -
Will this current squad propel us into Europe?

I agree on this point, a good example is Jordi Amat. This 21yr old CB has represented the Spanish international youth teams at every age-group from the age of 15 up to Under-21 and also represented the Catalonia national team, he was given his debut at Espanyol by MP himself but Swansea sign him for £2.6m. Good bit of business by Laudrup, but can't stop feeling MP dropped the ball there. -

I think we have lost ground against Swansea and possibly Norwich in the transfer market, Sunderland look far better this season on paper as well. Anelka will bag West Brom a hat full and Kone will be no slouch at Everton. IMO we are a first choice striker and CB short of Euro-dreams. Current squad will finish around 14th again. For £500,000 it would be worth buying him and loaning him out until international caps qualify him for a permit.

With the current squad, Sky have it about right. I believe we are 2 quality signings from progressing on last year. Hope we get them.....

How did someone at SMS not say: "see that Argentina kit, like that just swap the blue for red". job fookin done. The lardass bingo wings on the pub shirt are just wrong. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2

SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
Killers Knee replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Go back to the drawing board, we need a plan B when the opposing coach has a clue. At least it should be the last we see of Fox in a Saints shirt. -
Playing waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too deep

Terry is just plain cheating or playing Rugby

Need to get back on the front foot quick! Good save KD!

Danny Fox is the modern day Francis Benali, just without the public sympathy.

Yes, certainly appears the Pochettino style of football has been instilled throughout the club. Very impressive showing, and certainly made the jock commentator a bit sour on MUTV.

watched it on a stream of MUTV, we totally dominated them :0)

Danny Mountain wins this competition all day long.

Massive game, need to win, hopefully they will be knakered and injury prone following their Euro match. The loser of this match will be in the relegation dogfight come the summer.

They fail to realise that it is the high pressing, high tempo Saints team that forces these errors in the first place. One thing is sure, we will need to cultivate players to this style rather than buy them in, but I'm more than excited by the prospect.
