Matty's a hero and we all love him but... 1. Useless in business 2. No management experience Our next manager should be handed a budget and told to get on with it, with absolutely no interference from anyone. We don't need another executive in charge of football stuff, thats the managers role. Matty is still a legend and the greatest player we ever had. Great race horses don't make good jockeys.

If you claim a swiss bank account, thats all you have. for a member of staff from a swiss bank to divulge account details they'd risk 10 years porridge.

We have been the victims of an impressive ruse, admit it. If you had pulled off the same thing at Pompey you'd be laughing. They'll be drinking and dining out on this one for years. As for SFC, someone better get the Blue Square registration papers in order, as if we are in the same position this time next week it is all over. We'll walk that league (might actually dust my boots off, how much are the match subs?)

problem is: A club with an outside chance of promotion to Divvy 2 is worth considerably more than one destined to Divvy 4. If we are given -25 then that'll affect the offer, which the creditors could find unnacceptable. It could well be the case that we are worth more after being broke up and sold than we are as a going concern in Divvy 4.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financetopics/financialcrisis/5575769/Mervyn-King-compares-handling-financial-crisis-to-taking-a-high-pressure-penalty.html why was he in town? why the mention of Matty? coincidence?

Only 24hrs to wait now anyways. If Pinnacle don't agree an offer within the exclusivity period then I seriously doubt this club will be bought by anyone.

Usually about 3 weeks before a purchase of a football club completes the purchasers bank is notified and the cat is out the bag on who is the purchaser, how much they're paying and how the deal is structured. Some deals are settled out here where breaching bank privacy laws can get you 10 years porridge, but we still all get to know who's doing what and when. Problem with Saints is there isn't the slightest rumour on who is facilitating the purchase coming from any institution at the moment, unless its Northam Post Office where I don't have any contacts. Seriously, the big players/usual suspects ain't involved.

more like a false story fed to the media by people on this messageboard, for whatever reason i don't know. If Peter Storrie is relieved of duties down the road he could certainly do a job here, that man CAN sell shyte to the arabs. As for Saints, I never believed MJ consortium was serious, an educated guess said MLT consortium never had the dosh and the Irish story was utter bullshine. Things smell bad.

Along Southsea there was a fair bit of new development which had the aim of displacing the traditional people of that area and gentrifying it with middle class folk from London. The displaced pikeys ended up in the flower garden estates of Swaythling and such like, drive down there, they have tracksuits, necklaces and every other hallmark of a pikey. The gentrification of Southsea then brought in further investment as the local population were not viewed as parasitic workshy scum, but as valued members of society. We need to displace a sizable chunk of Southampton and gentrify it. That in turn will bring in more commercial investment, increasing the attraction of the football club to potential investors.

Could be a bad move, what if they try and replace the Balti Nan's with Colcannon or Burgers with Soda bread? I think we should say thanks, but no thanks. We have to safeguard the future.

Marc Jackson consortium has moved to due diligence.

it is now evident that a local loon has been living a Walter Mitty style "I'm a Business Strategist" fantasy in a vain attempt to impress the people on this messageboard. -
Unlike Saints, Sunderland seem capable of attracting investors and now have a reported £200m transfer budget for next season. That would make an interesting project for the wee man.
-
Do you think that for one minute, he looked at the possibility of buying Saints? http://www.express.co.uk/football/view/103037/Black-Cats-to-take-on-the-world Depressing stuff when the likes of Sunderland can attract that level of investment and we are basically relying on the generosity of fans.

A fool and his money....we need a certified spacecadet £14m is way too high. £6m breakup value, offer £7m.
