Ocean Village has always been a pathetic development ever since. It started out as a marina for yachties, and yet not a single chandler's shop or any facilities to fill up with fuel or water. It was the landlubbers idea of a marina. Thankfully, Shamrock Quay, up the Itchen, delivers those facilities, but really... Ocean Village was a joke. Yachties will always fill the place, but ask their opinion, and it's pretty low. I believe it's supposed to be a tad better nowadays.

Well I've never been that keen on the club badge anyway, but that aside it looks OK. If I could fiddle around with a few details there, I would make the 125 the size of the other text and numbers and also make it gold.

The Echo will andoubtedly suggest, though not in the manner I'm going to put forward, that in the absense of facts issued by the club, in the time frame that is appropriate for the Echo, or its readership, they will continue to gather disparate threads of information, opinion and hearsay, and make it up as they go along. Somethimes they will get it right, sometimes not. It's what newspapers do, and is why I haven't bought one in about 20 years. Now I wonder if I got my ill-informed opinion right..?

Between them, Cortese and Pardew seem to be filling the role of DoF just fine, at the moment. No hurry.

Here's a response to your question, Alpine. When members question anyone else's intelligence, sanity, temper, general behaviour, sexual prowess, or compare them to anyone, or threaten them, rather than just debate the point that another member is making, then the members who use those methods are subject to moderation. Using humour to camouflage an insult may get some leniency, but it will still be subject to moderation. What it means is - stay within the forum rules and nobody will have any problems.

Look, I understand that Saints supporters are a speculative lot. Let's face it, the years of Lowe and Co, didn't and don't exactly make for calm environment training. But people need to cool down a bit. The news will come out, as it will, when the time is right for it to come out. Do you think it'll be any different or better just because it comes out a day or two earlier..?
