Just back from the game, that was a very promising performance way beyond expectation. Play like that every week we will be ok. Yes we were pushed back at times but only to be expected, but we attacked in force, alwayys looked to play the right way & came up with two great strikes. I thought Clyne was outstanding today, Gully ran his socks off and never let the city back line have it easy. I was concerned that Fonte & Jos may be ripped apart today but Fonte looked like the player we all know he can be today, put in one outstanding tackle in the first half when it looked like they had broken through. Can Lambert do it at this level, bet your ass he can what a great strike. don't know how I kept quite sat in the main stand. The midfield held their own against a very good city side. All in all a good first outing & will boost their confidence that they can compete at this level.

Looking more than likely there will be movement with Phillips as he's been left out today. Hopefully a busy week transfer wise coming up, including a CB please.

At the moment I'd just about go Dalek, however if we get Ramirez/Phillips & at least one CB then I can see us comfortably 14/16th.

New Official Sites (now including Saints)

Seems pretty good on my I-pad looks decent quite quick to load & pretty responsive. -
Been away for the weekend, just watched the game & seemed a good work out against a decent side who are a couple of weeks ahead of us in pre-season. We controlled the game for long periods, & only when Fonte made a mistake and gifted them the goal followed by multiple substitutions gave Ajax the lift they needed to get on top. To sum up I thought Clyne looks very good & seemed to link well with Guly who also had a decent game. Ward Prowse had a really good game the young lad looks a class above. Lallana looked superb. We had some lovely inter-passing at times, & we did manage to open up a decent European side at times. The finishing will need to improve as Adkins said in his interview. Biggest negative as many have said already is Fonte, I really thought a year ago he would be the one who would step up to the mark & be our rock last season & step up to the prem easily. However, he was dodgy at times last year. And not a good day for him yesterday gifting them the chance on goal & the shocking duck under the ball which allowed Ajax through in the first half. Adkins knows he needs at least one more CB as quick as possible. This has to be our priority. All in all there is a lot of promise especially from the youngsters, a lot more positives than negatives from yesterday.

Absolute classic Guan thanks for a good laugh, love the Birch phones at night gags! Every little helps lol.

With at least one CB added to the squad, I'd like to think we can get a lower middle table position. 15/16th would be a good first season back. I can see Lambert being pivotal next season, maybe not scoring as many as usual. But still vitally important, I see him being a Teddy Sherringham type influence to the team, whilst still chipping in regularly with important goals. I also think Sharp, Rodriguez & Clyne will have big seasons for us.

All Saints fans should protest about this disgusting slur

That really is despicable, and any sympathy I've had for the few has ebbed away over the last three years. A considerable number of the fools feel if you tell a lie long enough & load enough it becomes fact! I must say I'm surprised that the Mods haven't pulled down such an obviously slanderous piece of fantasy. -
Lol just got in the new team that will lead the few to a glorious promotion back to the championship just lost 4-0 to a bunch of holiday makers! As been said before on numerous occasions the gift that keeps on giving. The big question is for how much longer. I feel my tip of the 30th is looking some fanciful.

They really are a disgusting bunch down the road, the players all took a wage deferral so some staff could keep their jobs and keep the few going(I seem to remember they were praised for this at the time). Funny now they are being slagged off as the evil ones for wanting their money which they agreed to at the time, to save their fat infested hole of a club LOL. They are like spoiled children, who for far too long have screamed, shouted, and stamped their little webbed feet until they have recieved what they want. The well is dry you DFSCB's time to shut up & take whats coming with a little grace. Typical of the inbreads threatning violence. God bless 4-slice toasters!

Hilarious has to be one of the worst pieces of badly researched journalism of all times. How you can get so much wrong in such a short article outstanding. But they at least did get a picture of a previous manager called Nigel , and seems we're signing the Orangutan from every which way but lose.

So another box ticked, don't know enough about him to comment on him ability wise, but welcome aboard the bus Paulo? Hope he can step up to the mark if & when called on. When you sign a year long loan it normally means no call back, does it also work the other way to? They can't send Tommy back after a month. Let's hope so.

LOL again so the Poopey want people who the club have screwed over not once but twice, to now help them out to get their minimum penalty withdrawn. Good luck with that then. Help save this shoddy shambles of an excuse for a football club with 114 yrs of administration & screwing over creditors & the tax paying people of this country. More like put them down now.

Sounded like a good work out tonight. Good for Billy Sharp to get on the score sheet with a hatrick. Also sounded like all the youngsters had a good game tonight.
-
Just logged on sounds like the youngsters are performing well tonight, good to see.

Seems as though its a done deal. Top signing & he will progress with the team I'm sure.

Come on Phil keep up its ALWAYS next week! And they almost got rid of three. Two is the new three. They way they do Maths in poorsmouth they probably think they did get rid of three!
-
I take it that this could their flight then? The plucky few all pulling together to get their flight off the ground!

Sounds good THEVMAN, hopefully will be completed quickly now.

I wanted 27th as its a Friday, but beaten to it! So God bless Monday the 30th July.

Agreed just shows that the FCR is only there to keep the cash in the game, not for actual football creditors. So Chinny will be furously tapping away on his calculator now working out if its worth his effort to get enough out of what's left from the PP's after paying football creditors. Thumb screws out on players to accept less. So will Chinny go for it or is he more likely not to?

At last the FL grow a pair. Another LOL moment on the takeover saga. But just wondering how the compromise deal over players financial deals, fits in with the FL's FCR that they have fought long & hard to protect. Surely one doesn't fit with the other? But hey Ho another day, another gift from the gift that keeps on giving! How are doing getting a compromise deal with TBH & the never to be forgotten poopey cup final hero Kanu? oh Ho they loved him! God bless Death by a thousand cuts!

Certainly been a great 3-years, I echo the feelings of regret that Markus was not here to see it!
